Boasting almost 100k followers on Instagram and 74k on TikTok, @shealeev has built her way to the top with her colourful creativity.

One of our fave looks by her is this rainbow-star-themed graphic liner. She effortlessly blends each colour onto the next in a perfect line to create an eye-catching look.

As well as playing with colours, she often uses LED lights to complete her look. For example in this neon orange look, she tops the look off with two bright star-shaped LED lights, to create the perfect rave look.

She also created this stunning look, featuring a koi fish swimming around her immaculate cat eye in shimmery silver water.

Mei Pang, or @meicrosoft, is a rather experimental beauty guru, occasionally using rollers, string or dental floss (yes, dental floss) to create her looks at the request of her followers. She, too, plays around with colour, shapes and angles to create unique designs that have captured the attention of 2.7 million people on TikTok and 1.9 million on Instagram.

This look is where she used dental floss to create random structures around her eyes, before filling in little details with liquid liner to create a shattered glass effect.

In another TikTok video, she decided to match her makeup to her nails, resulting in this striking look, with stunning blue and silver patterns sprawled across her face.

She also hopped onto the face zoom trend, but while everyone else was focused on the zoom eff ect., our attention was fixated on her makeup. We couldn’t get enough of the stunning grey and baby blue makeup designs that ran along her eyes.

Known mainly for her smooth makeup transition videos, @anastasile has blessed us with many great looks on Instagram and TikTok. Her beautiful looks and incredible transitions have resulted in her gaining 2.6 million followers on TikTok and 1.3 million on Instagram. The Dubai-based MUA has jumped on many trends in the past but still maintained her own unique flair that her followers love.

This transition video has been on a loop for hours now. We’re obsessed with the abstract designs she uses to create this almost alien-like eye shape.

Another fave of ours is this butterfly-inspired look where she perfectly draws the wings of a butterfly onto her eyes. Completed with a few gemstones and pink lipgloss, this look has all of us desperately trying to recreate it.

@glamgio_nyc is a fun, bubbly personality. She creates bright and colourful graphic liner looks to match her vibrant energy. While handing us makeup inspiration with her every post, her contagious smile makes our day just that little bit better too. Her personality and incredible talent have taken her far, seeing as she now has just over 90k followers on Instagram.

In a video posted to TikTok, she tries on ColourPop’s liquid chrome eyeshadows to create this shimmery look.

While we love a good pep talk, we also can’t get over how good this green and pink liner look is in this TikTok video. The bright pink lip and glittery eyebrows are simply the cherry on top.

She also posted this spectrum look on her Instagram, with one eye done using the colours of the rainbow and the other done with all neutrals.

Alexa is a fun-loving personality on TikTok. She sometimes comes up with her own looks or creates looks based on emojis people comment. We’re all extremely envious of her steady hand and seemingly endless creativity. This has led to her gaining 1.2 million followers on TikTok and 90k on Instagram.

This first look that we love was inspired by a comment. She effortlessly swiped on a rainbow and freestyle painted a few hibiscus flowers around her lid to create this summery, colourful look.

Here are the three types of 3D makeup looks you can try out, along with some inspo to get you started.

Hot Glue Gun Method

This method went viral after Instagram MUA, Vanessa (@cutcreaser), posted a video trying to create a makeup look with a hot glue gun. Before you freak out, we can assure this method is 100% safe. She started by using the glue gun to create patterns on a stainless steel surface, waited for the patterns to dry and then applied her chosen eyeshadows onto the dried-out glue. She then stuck the freestyle patterns onto her eyelids for a uniquely stunning look.

@dom.skii quickly grabbed himself a glue gun and some chrome powder after seeing Vanessa’s video and took to Instagram to share his take on the look. After a quick test run with the glue gun, he blended on some black eyeshadow and topped it off with the silver chrome glue pieces he made.

Jen Seren (@jennseren on TikTok) made some sparkly silver wave patterns with the glue gun in a video she posted on TikTok. She stuck the eccentric patterns all around her eyes with completely transformed her already stunning makeup look.

Greta Mikki (@greta.mikki on Instagram) made a gorgeous molten metal look using this method. Paired with her matching contacts and blinding highlighter, the silver glue drops made for an ethereal appearance. We know she’s got you sprinting to your local department stores to get yourselves some hot glue guns to recreate this.

3D Effects and Illusions

This one’s for all the artists out there because it’s a lot more challenging than using a glue gun. Rather than actually using 3D objects to create a 3D look, some beauty gurus have taken this trend their own way and created some spectacular illusions with makeup alone. Luca Luce (@lucaluceart on Instagram) is one of the first artists that come to mind when talking about illusion makeup, as he’s created some of the most mind-blowing looks on the internet.

Mimi Choi is another great artist who’s created some dazzling, unreal illusions on her face. She managed to paint a super-realistic pink snake onto her face, making it look like it was coming out of her mouth. There aren’t too many people who can pull off such a spine-chilling look.

Stella Chiara also contributed to this trend, but did it in their very own way, using white liner and dark eyeshadow to create dimension on the patterns running across their face.

Victoria Lyn (@victorialyn on TikTok) gave us a Halloween-themed spider look that was a bit too realistic to not scare us.

It can range from drawings on your lips to diamonds and stickers, anything goes in the world of lip art.  

So, we challenge you to step out of your comfort zone and give some of these lip art looks a try, you never know, you might just impress yourself with your abilities. 

It’s Getting Hot in Here 

This look is turning up the heat and causing a stir due to its bold and sassy aesthetic, just what we want here at Voir. If you are feeling feisty and know your way around a paintbrush, this first look will be perfect for you to try.  

Boasting a black lip with orange and red flames rising from the bottom lip this look is one to die for and will get the temperature rising when you rock it. This is an intermediate look so if you can manage this one then you shouldn’t have any problems with our other lip looks. This look is very arty and will require patience when creating it. 

We recommend maybe sketching out the flames on a piece of paper beforehand so you can get the hang of how your hand should move to sketch out the designs. Like anything, trial and error are the best way to learn, so don’t feel overwhelmed or anxious to give this look a go.  

One necessity that you will not be able to complete this look without is some thin makeup paintbrushes. These will be a lifesaver when it comes to the finer details of this look and help get the precision on point.  

We recommend using matte liquid lipsticks to create this look, their liquid formula will make them easy to apply and have a rich pigment with full coverage. Moreover, they will be easier to blend and provide a thicker layer than cream lipstick does. Liquid matte lipsticks are more artistic-friendly when it comes to completing complex designs such as this one. Mac, Nars and Huda Beauty all do some incredible liquid matte lipsticks that we feel would be perfect for this hot look.

Love is in The Air   

Love is in the air with this next lip look that has melted our hearts and compelled us to give it a try. Styling a glossy fusion of pink and red that incorporates four different shades of pink alongside glitter and love heart stickers, this look is really one to turn heads.  

It was love at first sight when we saw this beauty and we know you guys will love it too. The trick with this look is to have a matte base with an ombre effect and build the lip look from that. You want to pick your four shades of pink and then layer them onto your lips from the darkest shade to the lightest.  

You can use a setting powder to help set the lips and stop them from smearing as well as a brush or beauty blender to create the soft ombre effect. Then add a glossy lip gloss with a sprinkle of glitter and sparkles to create a sparkly finish.  

A good hack to help you add the glitter in a simple and quick manner is to get your lip gloss stick and mix it in a pot of glitter. Then dunk your lip-gloss stick back into its tube and mix it with the contents of your lip gloss. This will allow your lip gloss to mix with the glitter in an unproblematic way and allow you to easily apply it onto your lips as you normally would.  

Now for the fiddly bit. When applying your hearts, it’s best to use very sticky lip gloss to do this as the tackier and sticker the lip gloss is, the better these hearts will stay in place. We believe that the cheaper the lip gloss the sticker it seems to be, so don’t be concerned with getting the most expensive lip gloss for this look – just make sure it is sticky and shiny!

Love is Like a Butterfly  

Love really is like a butterfly and this look proves it! These two abbreviations of the beautiful butterfly looks are totally mesmerising and have us in a chokehold. Whether your vibe is more pink or blue, this look is incredible and relatively easy to do so don’t panic if you are not yet confident with doodling art on your lips.  

The influencer used matte liquid lipsticks here (notice a theme) and created an ombre glitter effect by blending two colours together. Then she went in the black lipstick, again in a matte liquid format and a thin make-up brush to draw on the lines that simulates the butterflies’ wings. You can draw these lines however you want so don’t put too much emphasis on copying the artist’s work exactly, be free with it and go where the brush takes you.  

She then adds white dots to add some depth and body to the lip art alongside glitter sprinkles and frosting to finish off the look.  

This look is utterly beautiful and perfect to try as one of your first attempts at lip art.

This lip art transported us back into the early 2000 and made us think of the iconic Betty Boop, the cartoon character. This look has similar colours to which Betty was pictured and would fit in with the Betty Boop aesthetic perfectly.  

This look is a little more dynamic than our previous ones and will require you to practice it a few times before you get it right but once you do, it’ll be worth it.

We couldn’t not mention a Wednesday Addams inspired lip combo for our Wednesday fans out there, could we?  

This next look is very Wednesday Addams and is one of our easiest looks to do. This lip art includes a black matte base, some glittery gel that has bonded together and is stuck on top of the lips and some clear gloss.  

The bonded glittery add-on may be hard to create and may get antagonising for you if you are wearing this look throughout the day, so instead why not simply add a glittery coat on top of the black base? This could come in the form of a glittery gloss or even by using festival glitter and sticking it onto your lips to create a textured glitter look.

Our final look is a cross between an icy mermaid and frostbite. Ouch! This glittery baby blue lip combo would look unreal when styled at a festival or music concert surrounded by bright lights and festival outfits.  

For this look, the first thing you need to do is prep your lips. This required you to apply a layer of nude lipstick first and then some shimmery turquoise lip gloss afterwards along the edges of your lips. Blend the two products together with a make-up brush but make sure to leave the middle of your lips bare. Then jump in with some glitter along the outer edges of your lips and voila, your icy lips are complete! 

These lips are stunning and super easy to do so if you’re a beginner and don’t want to jump straight into the deep end with these lip art looks this one is perfect for you to start off with.

Rhinestones

For a more glam or bold look, rhinestone is the face jewels for you. As the light shines and reflects on the rhinestone they provide a more reflective look. With rhinestones as the look is supposed to be bold the use can be as you please whether it is to form an intricate shape on your forehead, carefully placed within your eye make-up or even clustered at your temple. It’s totally on you depending on the overall look you are going for.

Sequins

When it comes to sequins as face jewels the variety comes from the different shapes of the sequins from hearts to stars. Sequins can be placed individually in the tear duct or to be arranged in a cluster at the temple. Clustered sequins create a rough but beautiful look especially on top of a pastel eye shadow colour.
