We are seeing so many girls trying “Barbie makeup” which is, you guessed it, all about pink, specifically exaggerated pink blush. We love this look by stunning influencer Isabel Rose In which she shows us exactly how to achieve this super pink blush with a gorgeous doll eyed lash. She credits that one of her inspirations for creating this look is the real life Barbie, Sabrina Carpenter.

We’ve also spotted the gorgeous Bernicia Boateng sporting the same exaggerated blush look but with a dramatic slate coloured eyeshadow look that we are just obsessed with.

Soft Romantic Glam

For those of us that are down to try something a little bolder, whilst still wearable, we are obsessed with the monochrome movement.  We are in love with this look on Rare beauty mogul Selena Gomez. Selena became the queen of blush after the unbelievable success of her cream blushes, which shes paired with pink eyeshadow and a bold red lip. Another amazing example if your wanting something more subtle is this soft Ballerina like look on Cindy Kimberly and her pink blush and pink iridescent highlight combo.

Exploring a few looks on the softer side, due to the current popularity of the 90’s and Y2K makeup trends, we’ve seen a huge influx of frosted glam looks. One Influencer take on this we are loving is the stunning Danielle Marcan who did an amazing tutorial using all Pat McGrath products, which after the success of her makeup at the Margiela show, we are all after. Rare beauty showed just how diverse this range is in a TikTok, showing a multitude of different people trying on the lip oil – and every single one of them looked stunning. The shades were carefully and beautifully selected to not only fit everyone but to match the rest of her range. (Side note: we love how the packaging almost matched the Soft Pinch Blushes!) 

The whole internet completely freaked out at this surprise launch and once the reviews started coming out, the people went crazier – even as crazy as waking up at 7 AM to rush to Sephora for the brand-new lip oils.

Or even rushing around to three different Sephoras and managing to buy the very last one left, just like Brook Tiffany here. When trying out the shade Honesty, she softly applied a couple of swipes, resulting in a peachy pink pout.

Many other influencers also shared their thoughts on the lip oils, and one by one, they all fell in love with these little bottles of joy. Sean Anthony swatched the product for us in a TikTok video. He generously applied the shade Wonder – which looked absolutely gorgeous on him – before wiping off the oil, leaving him with a subtly tinted lip. After reviewing the formula, he then tried the product out on his cheeks and blended it out like a blush, resulting in a glowy, warm look.

@kaushal also tried out the range. The different cool-toned and warm-toned shades – although only subtly different – can completely transform a look. The brighter shades, such as Joy, Serenity and Happy (Side note: we love these shade names) gave @kaushal a beautiful beaming glow, whereas the more neutral or cool-toned shades like Honesty, Delight and Affection resulted in a more sophisticated, classy look.

]]> Looking for some inspiration for your next full glam makeup look? Well look no further, below are some of the hottest and most flamboyant make-up looks that we are obsessed with right now.  

From re-creating the 00s-inspired Julia fox look to the glittery eyebrows of Rowi Singh, there is something for everyone in these looks. 

So, sit back, relax and let Voir show you some amazing looks that we just know you’re going to want to try asap.  

Lilac Lust  

Our first look is truly mesmerising, created by Tali for Alexander McQueen’s showpiece at the Met Gala on the model Pania, this look stole the show. It is a beautiful translucent lilac and white eyeshadow look coupled with bleached eyebrows and a glossy nude and brown lip gloss. This look is the perfect mix of the 00s makeup with a modern twist thanks to the bleached eyebrows that bring this look into 2023.  

By bleaching Pania’s brows and having a very light and translucent eyeshadow look it allows Pania’s eyes and her lashes to really pop. This is a great look to try out if you’re looking for a full glam that is subtle but with a little spice. This look can be dressed down by not bleaching your brows and having them au natural or alternately you can dress up this look and style it how Panina has. 

The Rimmel London Magnif’Eyes Holographic Mono Eyeshadow in shade Lunar Lilac is a gorgeous shimmery pale purple that would look incredible across your eyes if you were thinking of recreating this look.  

Mac also does a gorgeous shimmery eyeshadow in the shade Ready to Party which is a highlighted purple that would be a good mix with the Jeffree Star Eye Gloss Powder which is a white and silvery eyeshadow. Alternatively, if you have a matte white eyeshadow already but are wanting that translucent shimmery finish you could use your highlighter on the top of your eyeshadow to finish off the look and give it that shimmery aesthetic.  

The brown lip liner and nude gloss is a look that was very popular in the 00s and one that we have seen a resurgence of this past year. The trick with this look is to get a pigmented brown lip liner that is smooth and won’t smudge and layer it with a glossy wet lip gloss to create that wet look aesthetically. This lip combo is so sexy and one that we don’t think will be going anywhere anytime soon. Fenty does a super glossy wet lip gloss that would be perfect to have in your make-up collection if you wanted a look like the brown liner and glossy lip combo or if you just want to add some gloss to your matte lipstick.  

Purple Hues  

If you liked the first look but it wasn’t as colourful and vibrant as you would have liked, then this next look might just do the trick. This purple cat eye has really gone all out as it includes a subtle but stunning red eyeliner amongst the purple hues which really levels up the look.  

The bold purple eyeshadow combined with red eyeliner on the bottom lash line and a small feline flick brings a sassy appeal to the look and makes it captivating as well as bright and colourful with that pop of purple.  

Beauty Bay does an amazing array of purple eyeshadow shades in their palette Midnight 16. This palette is great for this look as depending on what sort of purple you’re after, you can guarantee will be a shade there for you.  

With this look, we think that an eyeshadow would be best to use to create the winged red eyeliner as a liquid liner may be too overpowering and dominate the look, taking the attention away from the purple eyeshadow which is the main attraction.  

A cream eyeshadow would be perfect as it would not be too overpowering but also won’t smudge and blend in too much as a powder eyeshadow may. Pixi has a lovely collection of cream eyeshadow that has a variety of shades you can choose from.  

Julia’s 90s Throwback  

Who would have thought, the day has come when thin eyebrows are making a comeback and were low-key digging it. *gasp* 

This iconic look was super popular in the 90s and early 00s and surprisingly it has resurfaced recently with models and celebs rocking the thin drawn-on eyebrow look. Luckily, they haven’t gone too drastic yet and plucked their eyebrows down to thin lines but instead, they used concealer and bleach to cover their natural eyebrows and then drew on the thin brows with an eyebrow pencil. This is a handy way to achieve that 90s look without being risky and plucking your eyebrows down drastically and potentially regretting it later.  

Julia rocks a white and grey eyeshadow look with thick mascara and nude metallic lips, so 90s so cute! 

The eyebrows really finish off the eyeshadow look as they accentuate her eyes perfectly and sculpt her upper face beautifully. The Vieve Ninetease palette would be a great palette to use to recreate the eyeshadow look Julia rocks so effortlessly. It has a selection of lovely nude colours and a beautiful off-white shade that matches the colour used on Julia.  

For her lips, the Beauty Pie Luxe Shine Master Sweet lipstick is a beautifully pigmented lipstick that is metallic and has a little sparkle mixed within, perfect for recreating this look.

Wet Lips and Bold Eyes  

Continuing the theme of glossy wet lips, Sophia Sinot created an OG glam look for Paris Fashion Week that included timeless bold black eyeliner and glossy lips. The unique twist we hear you ask, well with this look you’ll find your answer when taking a closer look at her lips. 

Sophia has used a brown lip liner on the outer sides of the lips and a very dark brown almost black liner in the middle that seeps into the middle of the lips, to finish it off she applies wet glossy lip gloss on top. There is near to no product on the middle of the lips, and this allows a natural ombre effect to be created. This is a lovely modern spin on the classic brown lip liner and glossy lip-gloss look and one that we cannot wait to try out. 

This glam look is a lovely soft glam that has a soft glittery eyeshadow and bold double-lined eyeliner that formed a cat eye look. A liquid eyeliner would be ideal for creating this look as it demands a bold striking eyeliner. The Bare Minerals Maximist Liquid Eyeliner or the Mac Brushstroke Liner are great liquid eyeliners that will be bold and defining for any eyeliner look. 

The Sleek Makeup Locked Up Super Precise Lip Liner is a pigmented brown lip liner that would work perfectly with the Fenty glossy lip gloss that we previously mentioned to create the irresistible lips that Sophia created. 

Sparkling Brows  

We’ve saved the boldest look until last, and boy are you guys in for a treat. Styling glittery eyeshadow with star stickers and feline eyes alongside black under-eye eyeliner, this makeup look is really something.  

If you’re a sucker for glitter this look is perfect for you as it also includes glitter eyebrows! Yes, you heard correctly. These glittery eyebrows are a bold and unique take on the brows and honestly, we are kind of obsessed. They look powerful and glamorous, everything you want from a make-up look.

Coloured liner is making a comeback this spring. The make-up trend first started in the 1950s with legendary high street brands like Max Factor releasing liners in shades of red and green inspired by Haute Couture beauty artistry. 60 years later, make-up artists like David Velasquez are reimaging fun and futuristic ways to flaunt the look.

The artist who goes by @mugopus on Instagram used a royal blue liner by Urban Decay on Colombian singer Karol G, providing the eye- catching and vivid look we all need to recreate for our post- lockdown celebrations this spring:

In a recent campaign for Blumarine, model Leomie Anderson showed us we’re stepping into 2022 with all the glitz n’ glamour imaginable. The beauty wore a silver eye, shrouded in rhinestones, with a Y2K-style glossy brown lined lip to match Blumarine’s 2000s campaign.

Her world-class make-up artist Esther Edeme encouraged us to embrace our individuality and flair when it comes to beauty artistry this spring, by crafting the look completely freestyle!

If there’s anyone we’re relying on for our Spring make-up inspo, it’s Euphoria’s Barbie Ferreira. Not only is she a pioneer of adventurous make-up on the show, posting to her Instagram this week, the star looked like a real-life Barbie in an all-pink eyeshadow and lip look, proving bright colours are here to stay this year.

Ariana is all about letting our make-up creativity flow free after being constrained by the pandemic. With the launch of her make-up line R.E.M beauty, Ariana showcased the opportunities to be had with her new line in a recent post, in which she sported her classic cat-liner with a futuristic cream shadow and a nude lip.

Megan decided it was time for some colour after her iconic all-black D&G show looks. Painting the face of influencer Chiara Ferragni ready for her appearance at Dior’s fashion show, he let her eyes do the talking with a bright green look, perfect for the spring/ summer show.

Rhinestones are set to become an essential feature of our daily looks this season, proving ‘extra’ is no longer part of our vocabulary. We will make every occasion glam worthy this spring.

Helping to popularise the look is American rapper Latto. The singer celebrated reaching the top 40 with a super glam eye look, sporting silver gemstones by MUA David Velasquez who used Maybelline make-up to create the staggering look.

Musician Lolo Zouai served a fitting futuristic, sci-fi make-up look to promote her upcoming Future Nostalgia tour. Sporting a fresh shade of turquoise on her eyes with a nude lip, the star confirms that we’re looking to the future when it comes to spring glam.

It was all about the green this week for Elsa Hosk, who was caught rocking a green knit, bucket  hat and eye shadow to match, obviously! Keeping the base of her face natural using peachy  shades to mimic the natural essence of her skin, Elsa went all out when it came to her eyes with a  generous sweeping of grungy green across the eyelids, shadowing her beautiful blues.

The Airbrush Effect  

Giving us flawless skin envy, Leomie Anderson looked filter fabulous as she posed for her  followers in an understated street style ‘fit. Glowy and radiant, Leomie is everyday beauty goals. 

Ruby Red  

In line with her signature look, Megan Fox took to Instagram recently to debut yet another racy  red lip. Opting for a slightly darker toned ruby then her classic bright shade, Megan looked equal  parts devilish and delightful in her selfie of the week.

Beauty isn’t just about the makeup or creating transcendent looks, so this week we wanted to  celebrate the beauty beneath the glam and reveal how spectacular our skin really is. A prime  example of someone who captures the essence of natural beauty so well is rising star Mia Regan,  who looked sunny and fresh faced in one of her many no makeup looks.

Is it hot in here? Because we’re blushing up! In images showcasing her latest velvet collection for  swimwear label, Inamorata, Emily has nailed the rosy cheek look. While hot and flustered might  not sound so cute, it certainly looks it and is one we will be rushing to recreate right away!
