Tiffany and Co. x Andy Warhol

Many moons ago, Tiffany and Co. asked Andy Warhol to create a series of festive-inspired illustrations for greetings cards. The cards were used for the next six years, until 1962, and have since only lived in the memories of those present during the time. Until now.

Tiffany and Co. have decided to give Warhol’s designs a new lease of life this Christmas with his drawings coming to life once more on homeware, Christmas cards and ornaments. We think the limited-edition collection of charming designs would even impress the Grinch and fill Scrouge with Christmas cheer.

Showcasing the holiday Warhol collection in their Christmas party campaign, Tiffany’s selected none other than Hailey Bieber to play host. The campaign shows the action of Hailey Bieber hosting and gift giving at her party while the work of Warhol appears across the screen in amongst mountains of their iconic blue boxes. Hailey also wears her Tiffany pieces in the campaign which sparkle under the party lights.

Burberry x Minecraft

We really are living in the digital age. Burberry has partnered with Minecraft to create an in-game experience as well as physical products to buy in-store and/or online. ‘Burberry: Freedom to Go Beyond’ captures the future of fashion as reality and fantasy cross paths in a unique style.

The creation of a ‘Burberry Realm’ in the Minecraft world is available for players to download and explore in an immersive fashion. This fantastical world has inspired the collection of garments available for real life purchasing, which we are really excited about.

Burberry has given their products a digital makeover for this special collaboration. Within ‘Burberry: Freedom to Go Beyond’ their jacquard scarf has a pixelated element to its classic design. Other items feature their logo pixelated and famous Minecraft symbols are subtly placed on sweatshirts and t-shirts. We are definitely excited to find out what the future holds for Burberry in the digital realm if this is their beginning.

Dior x Thebe Magugu

Dior has launched a capsule collection in collaboration with South African designer Thebe Magugu. The collection benefits CTAOP (Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project), which aims to advance the health, safety and education of young people living in Southern Africa.

Fashion designer Thebe Magugu attained recognition in 2019, winning the LVMH Young Fashion Designer Prize and then became a finalist in the 2021 International Woolmark Prize. So, it is no surprise to us that this collection speaks volumes. The collection comprises of black, dark blue and yellow which pair really well, creating the designs to pop in an edgy manner. Products feature an incorporation of Magugu’s illustrative designs and Dior’s logo. We love the use of materials in this collection as tulle and silk create elegant silhouettes which convey the delicacy of the pieces.

Miu Miu ‘Private Wishes’ Collection

‘Private Wishes’ is the new Miu Miu collection we definitely do not want to keep private. The latest holiday collection places emphasis on contrast and contradiction. The collection is defined as feminine and masculine, reflects reality as well as imagination and relies on playfulness as well as function. The mixture of garments features oversized as well as miniature styles, dominating statement black or white options and pearls along with shearling.

Debuting today (October 27) is KNWLS’ latest campaign starring Julia Fox. Shot by Elizaveta Porodina, the actress has been iconised in a series of looks from Charlotte Knowles and Alexandre Arsenault’s autumn/winter 2023 collection, ‘Precious’. 

KNWLS is intangible. The brand represents the not-your-everyday ‘It Girl’ offering extroverted attire fit for a vixen. Designing strappy and slick garments with skin-revealing cut-outs and an abundance of studs, the brand embraces edginess and futuristic design.

The collection, Precious, is inspired by cybergoths and scene-girl kitsch combined with the duo’s trademark moodiness and clubwear aesthetic. From slinky sequin mini dresses and denim slacks to strappy, barely-there slip tops, snatched corsets, knitted cardigans and sultry slashed mesh frocks, catsuits and cut-out tops—the collection riffs on a combination of uncompromising utilitarianism and hyper-femininity.

They dubbed Precious, the collection riffs on the hardened exoskeleton of cybergoth gals and scene-girl kitsch paired with the perfect moodiness of the duo’s signature clubwear aesthetic. Think slinky sequin mini dresses and slouchy leather or denim slacks mingling with slashed mesh frocks, catsuits and cut-out tops. While the studded v-line abbreviated mini skirts take on a grungy glitz sense. The fur earth-tone leg warmers, cuffed by belts just below the knee, give this collection a utilitarian feel to it.

In a play on contradictory textures, transparency, and proportion, Knowles and Arsenault distorted sharp, architectural silhouettes to create a cohort of heavily knitted jackets that resemble armour on the models. Certainly not a look for the faint-hearted- there is a noticeably darker edge to this collection compared to previous collections with daunting shades of taupe, black, turquoise and dulled ambers. Knowles and Arsenault said Julia Fox is “an icon of our time” who embodies the brand’s values, which are “strong, unapologetic and authentic.” Fox has been spotted regularly in KNWLS looks over the past year, so her involvement in the campaign feels natural. Now catch her glowing on the red carpet as KNWLS’ newest muse.

As poised and mesmerising as ever, Fox shows her daring side as she poses in a revealing black mesh lingerie-style co-ord to a KNWLS signature hyper-low, hip-bone exposing mini skirt. “The concept was about creating this chaotic, post-apocalyptic fantasy world where our woman survives and thrives,” say the two designers. However, there is also a new sense of rebellion and free-spiritedness surrounding the line.

“The collection is inspired by many of our interests coming together as usual – it evolved into something quite eclectic, especially with the initial inspiration of Fruits magazine and Harajuku street style silhouettes and textures,” Arsenault explains.

The contrast between sweet and spiky was highlighted by voluminous fringed knits, corseted biker jackets made of bespoke leather, and brushed mohair cardigans. “Our woman is more daring and unpredictable with her wardrobe. She’s an uneasy combination of ‘cute’ but…  equally dangerous, untouchable, and not to be underestimated,” adds Knowles. The designers also decided to make a short film to accompany the collection. Filmed in Essex and directed by Jordan Hemingway, the short film begins with models dressed in KNWLS strutting in a fast past, almost floating through the air, accompanied by choppy, breathy noises. The reverie is enhanced by fast-changing scenes, close-up shots of subjects moving backwards through multiple doors, and upbeat techno music.

]]> Every season comes with its challenges, and usually, it’s our skin and hair that take the biggest hit. Whether it’s UV rays or icy winds, there is a lot that can cause problems with your hair health, especially if you like to dye or use heat products on your hair. That’s why we’ve compiled all the best products to keep your hair (whether it’s oily or dry) healthy this winter.

For everyone

You don’t need to have problem hair to have problems with your hair. Hormones, weather, pollution and age are all factors that can significantly affect the quality of your hair. Olaplex No.3 Hair perfector is a hall-of-fame product that everyone seems to love, regardless of their hair type. Whilst expensive, its very potent, and can leave your hair feeling brand new. Whilst that’s great all year round, consider also using a hydrating hair oil and a strengthening shampoo bar to keep your hair clean of build-up but moisturised enough to not become frizzy in the cold wind.

For Curly hair

Curly hair is a gift and a blessing. On the one hand, beautiful bouncy curls that look effortlessly pretty and healthy, on the other, hours of work and products to get it that way. Winter weather can be particularly rough for curls as there is a lot of wind and rain, so the most important hair care features for winter involve keeping the hair moisturised and frizz-free. Consider using a detangling milk to get your hair ready for styling, this will prevent and remove any knots caused by wind. Then a conditioning cream scrunched into damp hair and used for styling. You can apply a Caster oil if you’re hair gets frizzy or if you want to revitalise your curls before wash day.

For Dry Hair

For dry hair, the most important elements to combat the winter is by keeping it as moisturised as possible without letting it get sticky. For treated hair, use a colour vibrancy conditioner to maintain the shade of the dye throughout winter.

For oily hair

Oily hair can be really annoying, especially when you’re already out of the house. Luckily, there are a few products that will save your hair – and even fit in your bag! Use a high-quality dry shampoo to keep hair from looking greasy whilst preventing white powder build-up in the roots. In general, oily hair is the result of an oil scalp, so consider using a scalp detox scrub to keep your scalp clean and your hair dry. Finally, those with oily hair tend to use heat products for volume, so remember to use a good quality heat protection spray.

For many, this season may seem difficult to concur style-wise, as remaining warm becomes a priority. To show you how to stay on trend whilst keeping toasty, we have compiled a list of our favourite winter looks so far this season!

Kourtney Kardashian

Kourtney Kardashian has had quite the year, and it appears she will be finishing 2021 looking as glamorous and radiant as ever. This look is super easy to achieve; all you need is a red leather trench coat! This is a perfect look for anyone who wants to look sophisticated and sexy, all whilst being wrapped up warm. Let your statement trench do the talking, and your confidence will follow.

Dua Lipa

Now, this is a look for anyone who doesn’t fear a winter chill, making style and seductiveness your priority! Dua Lipa looks stunning in this easy to recreate outfit, showing off her incredible figure. To emulate this outfit, all you need are pinstripe trousers, a green lace bra and a long sleeve orange crop top. The colour clashing on your top and monochromatic pinstripe on your bottom makes for a retro dream that will definitely make a statement this winter.

Sita Abellan

Sita Abellan served us monogram realness with this look, and we were obsessing over it! This outfit appears very complex due to the monogram pattern, however, it would be so easy for you to recreate; just make sure all accessories and items of clothing are of a matching print and colour!

Lady Gaga has been a style icon for over a decade, and this winter is no exception! With her recent starring role in House Of Gucci, Gaga has been sporting all Gucci everything in the run-up to the film’s release. This look saw Gaga wear a cloak and dress with the matching Gucci logo, playing into the monogram trend. Completing the outfit is a Gucci purse, and in classic Gaga style, huge nude stilettos boots.

Rihanna

Last week, Rihanna proved that no one does supportive girlfriend better than her, as she cheered for Asap Rocky throughout his performance. Although this was Asap’s night, Riri still had heads turning as she turned up the heat with her all-red outfit. She wore a patterned red top and skirt, enveloped by a classy scarlet longline coat. To add an extra layer of fun, Ri wore red gladiator heels.

Olivia Rodrigo

Olivia Rodrigo had us all fall in love with her this year, and her fashion is still going strong as we make our way through winter. This look contains staples that every winter wardrobe should have; an adaptable black coat and a graphic tee. Olivia’s leather coat has gorgeous fur detailing, which would be perfect to use for a casual or formal event this season.

Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian delivered us the most sultry look of the week with this number as she attended Paris Hilton’s wedding. If you have any winter weddings coming up, a black sultry outift like Kim’s could be your inspiration! Simply let your dress be the star of the show, and pair with thigh high boots, just as Kim did.

We had to include a second helping of Kim K this week, as she served us a slick matrix look. To recreate this outfit, you need to make sure you have patent leather everything to achieve this glossy slick style. A plus side to investing in a patent leather trench coat is that you can adapt it to fit with many outfits, whilst keeping you warm this winter!

Planning a winter date night? No problem! Valentina Ferragni showed us how to take on the town in style this winter with this gorgeous outfit. A pink satin maxi skirt is the cutest edition to your wardrobe, and in this case Valentina paired hers with a black turtleneck bodysuit and patterned tights.

Emily Shak

Emily Shak looked stunning in this LBD, a perfect outfit for those wanting something simple yet eye catching for a night out. Emily’s dress has a gorgeous mesh layer, revealing a figure hugging skirt and bralette underneath.

We couldn’t get enough of Emily this week, and we loved this outfit! Embracing the sparkles this season, Emily wore green sequin trousers and paired them with a figure accentuating blazer to offer a sultry taste to this fun look. Emily also wore a chain bra underneath her blazer, bringing a gorgeous touch to this look.

 Lissy Roddy

Showing us how to look cool whilst keeping warm was Lissy Roddy. The star wore a statement blue puffer coat, paired with blue trainers to add a cohesiveness to her look. She also chose an orange puffer bag, creating a colour blocking effect. Underneath, Lissy kept it simple wearing all black, letting her quirky coat, shoes and bag do the talking.

Lissy also added a touch of blue to this outfit, this time in a more subtle way. She kept her outfit all black with a leather jacket, leather pants, a hoodie and heeled boots. Injecting a shot of colour, Lissy accessorised her look with a cobalt bag.

Sandra Shehab

Sandra Shebab stunned our feed with this gorgeous figure hugging number, giving us inspiration for our next evening outing. Sandra wore a black midi bodycon dress, complete with asymmetric cut outs, giving an interesting flavour to this sensual look. To further accentuate her curves, Sandra added a belt on the waist, creating a synched look to die for.

Coats. We all need them, and we all use them. They are our shield to weather us through all weathers and will forever have a place in our wardrobes. Macs, capes and parkas; each style of coat has their individual charm and while there is an abundance of coats available to fit into our shopping baskets it can be an overwhelming task to decide which ones to invest in. VOIR have come up with a selection of the most on-season outerwear to make this decision that much easier.

  1. The Beige Camel

Wearability and versatility are what comes to mind when thinking of the classic camel coat.
