]]> Doja Cat’s Instagram certainly isn’t far off paradise when it comes to beauty. Bold, experimental and fiercely iconic, whether on stage or at home, Doja never fails to impress when it comes to her hair, nails and makeup. From eyeshadow that incorporates each hue of the rainbow, to buzz cuts, baby bangs and Barbie pink acrylics, below, Voir has compiled five of Doja’s best at home beauty looks to give you all the inspo you need for your next special occasion.

Pastel Buzz

Colour blocking might just be the next big thing. After all, if Doja looks this great with pastel hair, who wouldn’t be inspired to give it a go themselves? Debuting the look on Instagram, the style features a rat-tail at the back, adding a rebellious edge to her 80s inspired hairstyle. Executed by hairstylist Jared Henderson, Doja complimented the remainder of her locks with glossy, over-lined nude lips and a subtle green wing.

Floral Princess

Pretty and ethereal, Doja can do it all. With dark brown hair and short-cut baby bangs, Doja coated her eyes in pink eyeshadow, blending a variety of shades across her crease and between her eyebrows. Her soft pink cheeks are precisely on trend, whilst her clear lip gloss and glass-like earrings make the perfect addition to her timeless green frock.

Green Machine

Whilst we’ve all been loving graphic eyeliner lately, Doja is here to prove that the possibilities are endless when it comes to shape and colour. Utilising a mixture of green eyeshadow and white eyeliner, this chunky eyeshadow look combines the subtle with the flamboyant, appearing a clever way to spice up a more monochrome outfit.

Barbie Pink

Looking to add a more feminine touch to your next beauty look? Doja is here to give you all you need in order to do so. With highlight blended high across her cheekbones, rose gold hair and barbie pink acrylics, little balls of fluff are attached to each fingertip as a point of elevation, drawing parallels with her matching attire and juxtaposing her crystal blue jewellery.

Lightning Queen

If pink isn’t your thing, why not try this black and blue number? Laced in subtle chrome sparkles and supplemented with a little polka dot at the edge of the black wing, Doja’s liner has been swept under her waterline and accompanied by a simple, matte base.

Seven Deadly Sins 

If you need a visual representation of Doja Cat’s versatility, you only need to scroll through some of her recent Instagram looks. In January, Doja posted seven pics to the ‘gram in an array of different looks, giving us a whole mood board in one post. Giving big ‘00s and ‘90s vibes, Doja pulled off a denim duo corseted panel look accompanied by bright blue eyeshadow and red and blonde highlights for that Spice Girl’s vibe. In the name of flexibility, the same post gave us face tatted, cropped hair n big hoop Doja.

Cell Block Tango

Doja’s artistic creativity means that one song doesn’t mean one look. Though ‘Say So’, ‘Juicy’, and ‘Like That’ are upbeat, modern pop songs, for the Billboard Awards performance in 2020, Doja gave us all those Chicago ‘Cell Block Tango’ and ‘All That Jazz’ vibes. If you’ve never seen the musical, don’t worry, Doja’s Billboard Awards performance can give you all the aesthetics of it in a five-minute performance. In a 1920s vibe curly hairdo, a glitzy flapper style bodysuit, and crystal-studded fishnets what is not to love about this look?

Rock Chick Kit

‘Say So’ was Doja’s first song to go number one in the US. It became a huge TikTok song, and it’s unlikely that you haven’t heard it. In huge contrast to the Hot Pink album, Doja Cat’s rock version of ‘Say So’ let everybody know at her MTV EMA 2020 performance that there’s probably not a genre she can’t nail. On a daisy-filled stage, Doja performed in a torn-up ragged white dress, with an intricately embroidered white bralette peeking through the rips. The wet hair, smoky-eyed white garter look was the embodiment of rock princess, and it’s one for the look books.

Cher Cat 

At the Jimmy Fallon show, Doja brought the ‘70s into 2020 with a Cher-inspired disco ball look. In a long baby pink mermaid wave weave, the gradually introduced feathered arm and leg cuffs set off the gemstone studded nude bodysuit perfectly. There’s nothing quite like a baby pink glitzy over-the-top ensemble to radiate Doja Cat Hot Pink energy.

Matrix

One of Doja’s most recent looks was a latex, futuristic dream. In an outfit that radiated just-stepped-out-of-the-matrix vibes, Doja Cat hammered into us the range she really has. In a floor-length puffy black latex coat and super plunge latex bodysuit, Doja’s accessories included blacked-out cat eye glasses and the on-brand super long acrylics.

Ethereal 

In case you weren’t already convinced that Doja has perfected any style possible, enter ethereal Doja. In a delicate white lace-up puff sleeve dress, Doja’s recent look on Insta featured subtle intricate leaf style hair accessories and golden butterfly hoops. Balancing out the forest princess look perfectly; natural makeup and pronounced freckles.

Doja cat has managed to transform her everyday experiences and emotions into hit singles. Her eccentric forward unfiltered personality has led her to become a pure artist and entertainer with unconventional songs and an Instagram to match.

Doja Cat was born Amala Zandile in 1995 and raised by her Jewish American painter mother. The singer says growing up she was influenced by Artist like Rihanna and Amy Winehouse. Inspired at the age of 16, she started to record music and put it on SoundCloud. In the Era of SoundCloud, rappers 17-year-old Doja cat stood out with her soul hit ‘So high’ which was later debut as a single. It was not until her Debut album Amala did Doja appear on the world map with her hit single Mooo! (lyrics mentioned above). Since then she has released a second album ‘Hot pink’ which featured her hit singles Say So and Candy. The songs became a viral sensation after going viral on TikTok via a choreographed challenge. After the success of ‘Say so,’ the song has been remixed recently featuring Nicki Minaj (who the singer once praised as the queen of rap to her fellow Barbz) another star to add to the shine that is Doja Cat.

If you thought a lockdown could keep Doja Down, think again. The artist has taken to Instagram to entertain herself. She has changed her Instagram live game with staged mini-concerts dressed absurdly in oversized costumes. From transforming herself into an elf fairy princess to a live reading of famous rap songs in an old British accent in a chainmail hoddie. Doja Cat has proved she is an entertainer in all the definitions of the term. So next time You see Doja cat is on live tune in, you are sure to be entertained.
