The shoot for the brand’s Spring collection was shot by none other but the incredibly talented Jack Brigland, best known for that iconicshoot of Robert Pattinson for GQ (you know the one we mean) as well as working with huge names like Kim Kardashian and Travis Scott to name but a few. His work is beautifully identifiable by his entrancing use of colour to create captivating and artistic imagery.

She’s also recently taken part in a shoot with another incredibly talented and equally trendy fashion photographer, Amber Asaly, a member of Kylie Jenner’s inner circle and her go to photographer. We really are living in the digital age. Burberry has partnered with Minecraft to create an in-game experience as well as physical products to buy in-store and/or online. ‘Burberry: Freedom to Go Beyond’ captures the future of fashion as reality and fantasy cross paths in a unique style.

Dior x Thebe Magugu

Dior has launched a capsule collection in collaboration with South African designer Thebe Magugu. The collection benefits CTAOP (Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project), which aims to advance the health, safety and education of young people living in Southern Africa.

Fashion designer Thebe Magugu attained recognition in 2019, winning the LVMH Young Fashion Designer Prize and then became a finalist in the 2021 International Woolmark Prize. So, it is no surprise to us that this collection speaks volumes. The collection comprises of black, dark blue and yellow which pair really well, creating the designs to pop in an edgy manner. Debuting today (October 27) is KNWLS’ latest campaign starring Julia Fox. Shot by Elizaveta Porodina, the actress has been iconised in a series of looks from Charlotte Knowles and Alexandre Arsenault’s autumn/winter 2023 collection, ‘Precious’. 

KNWLS is intangible. The brand represents the not-your-everyday ‘It Girl’ offering extroverted attire fit for a vixen. Designing strappy and slick garments with skin-revealing cut-outs and an abundance of studs, the brand embraces edginess and futuristic design.

The collection, Precious, is inspired by cybergoths and scene-girl kitsch combined with the duo’s trademark moodiness and clubwear aesthetic. From slinky sequin mini dresses and denim slacks to strappy, barely-there slip tops, snatched corsets, knitted cardigans and sultry slashed mesh frocks, catsuits and cut-out tops—the collection riffs on a combination of uncompromising utilitarianism and hyper-femininity.

They dubbed Precious, the collection riffs on the hardened exoskeleton of cybergoth gals and scene-girl kitsch paired with the perfect moodiness of the duo’s signature clubwear aesthetic. Think slinky sequin mini dresses and slouchy leather or denim slacks mingling with slashed mesh frocks, catsuits and cut-out tops. While the studded v-line abbreviated mini skirts take on a grungy glitz sense. The fur earth-tone leg warmers, cuffed by belts just below the knee, give this collection a utilitarian feel to it.

In a play on contradictory textures, transparency, and proportion, Knowles and Arsenault distorted sharp, architectural silhouettes to create a cohort of heavily knitted jackets that resemble armour on the models. Certainly not a look for the faint-hearted- there is a noticeably darker edge to this collection compared to previous collections with daunting shades of taupe, black, turquoise and dulled ambers. Knowles and Arsenault said Julia Fox is “an icon of our time” who embodies the brand’s values, which are “strong, unapologetic and authentic.” Fox has been spotted regularly in KNWLS looks over the past year, so her involvement in the campaign feels natural. Now catch her glowing on the red carpet as KNWLS’ newest muse.

As poised and mesmerising as ever, Fox shows her daring side as she poses in a revealing black mesh lingerie-style co-ord to a KNWLS signature hyper-low, hip-bone exposing mini skirt. “The concept was about creating this chaotic, post-apocalyptic fantasy world where our woman survives and thrives,” say the two designers. However, there is also a new sense of rebellion and free-spiritedness surrounding the line.

“The collection is inspired by many of our interests coming together as usual – it evolved into something quite eclectic, especially with the initial inspiration of Fruits magazine and Harajuku street style silhouettes and textures,” Arsenault explains.

The contrast between sweet and spiky was highlighted by voluminous fringed knits, corseted biker jackets made of bespoke leather, and brushed mohair cardigans. “Our woman is more daring and unpredictable with her wardrobe. She’s an uneasy combination of ‘cute’ but…  equally dangerous, untouchable, and not to be underestimated,” adds Knowles. The designers also decided to make a short film to accompany the collection. Filmed in Essex and directed by Jordan Hemingway, the short film begins with models dressed in KNWLS strutting in a fast past, almost floating through the air, accompanied by choppy, breathy noises. The reverie is enhanced by fast-changing scenes, close-up shots of subjects moving backwards through multiple doors, and upbeat techno music.

The video for the campaign includes three well-known women energetically dancing to the words ‘Queen’ while wearing crowns and cheering each other up. They are empowering, independent and stylish because they are wearing Puma x Zalando clothes and accessories. The campaign is created to shows that women support women ‘I fix your crown cuz you fix mine’, – they sing in the campaign video.

The campaign is supported by well-known female artists and creators including such celebrities as Dua Lipa, Cara Delevingne and Winnie Harlow. ‘She Moves Us’ is meant to inspire and help women to overcome challenges and feel motivated to reach their career goals.

Their easily recognizable fashion creations have just been presented in a campaign that we can’t stop talking about. Yes, you’ve heard it right, the luxury clothing brand known for its romantic wear has just presented its latest digital campaign for Valentine’s Day.

T My Valentine? Is a representation of expressionism at its finest. It is a mirror that captures our current reality, but it introduces it in both a romanticised and down-to-earth manner to picture the beauty in our now restricted and monotonous lives.

Through its international call for creatives, it highlights the feeling of longing and the necessity of human connection in times of overwhelming solitude.

This collection and the feelings it captures and evokes were presented in a series of mixed media like zoom screen-captures and 3D animation, featuring young and loved creatives, such as photographer @yung_identity and model @isabellakeell in their organic home environment and with their iconic pieces.

However, this Valentine’s Day initiative that captivated a participatory audience of over 520,000 people, isn’t set to be a short-term project. As explained by the British brand, they hope to continue with this idea and transform it into a long-term concept that reminds us about the importance of connectivity throughout lockdown and over, focused on its impact on us, the young and daring creatives.

We are delighted to see Gucci’s approach to inclusivity in their recent beauty campaign with Vogue Italia. The beautiful Ellie Goldstein is the first Down Syndrome model to work with the brand, a great achievement for anyone trying to make their way in the world of fashion and beauty.

The model from Essex is represented by Zebedee Management, who shares that they are “passionate about redefining the perception of beauty, disability, and diversity”. As a result, Goldstein has been building a strong entry into the Industry having previously featured in campaigns with Nike, Superdrug, and Vodafone. At only 18-years old, and soon to be appearing on the pages of Vogue Italia, the model’s future is looking full of excitement and possibility.

Selected to model for the Brand via social media, Goldstein’s campaign centres on Gucci’s Mascara L’Obscur. Talking to the Independent, Creative Director Alessandro Michele reveals “I designed L’Obscur mascara for an authentic person who uses make-up to tell their story of freedom, in their way”. With an aura that radiates throughout the room, it seems Goldstein was the perfect fit to represent L’Obscur: a mascara that Gucci markets as one with “charm and mystery”. Captured in an embellished gold Gucci dress with subtle makeup and a radiant smile, Goldstein is a natural beauty that fulfills these qualities perfectly.

The Gucci Beauty Instagram page shared a picture from Goldstein’s photoshoot which according to the Independent was Gucci’s “biggest liked post EVER”. Amongst celebrities such as Harry Styles and Dakota Johnson which also feature on the page, Goldstein has claimed the spotlight. Thousands of supportive comments have been made on the post, many congratulating the diverse approach of the Brand along with the beauty of the model. It seems Gucci were right on time with the Campaign, embracing that refreshing and inclusive approach to beauty that we have all been waiting for.

At Voir we love to see women embracing their power with confidence and individuality and Ellie Goldstein is a perfect Ambassador. Posting a headshot picture on her personal Instagram account captioned “Proud of being me”, we see a young woman who is confident and beautiful in her own skin, something which we can all be inspired by.
