The winners of the night include Elizabeth Debicki for The Crown, Emma Stone for Poor Things and Sarah Snook for Succession. A glance at the red carpet, and many could sense a theme of red and black which overpowered with star-power like Margot Robbie, Dua Lipa and Charles Melton engaging in an accidental theme. However, it was also a night full of incredible fashion from movie stars, television stars and musicians alike, kicking off the fashion for the year in the right direction. It was a great moment for style and here are our picks for the best-dressed attendees.

Dua Lipa

The singer-songwriter dazzled in this gorgeous ruffled, cherry red gown by Prada. Lipa was accessorized by Tiffany&Co. and styled by Lorenzo Posocco. Dua opted to let the gown shine with minimal jewellery apart from the gorgeous and ornamental studs by Tiffany. The silhouette was a dream and the colour and hair were her moment.

]]> Thursday, September 14th, 2023, this day is set to become a career milestone for ten remarkable creatives as they’re awarded the highest recognition the world’s leading art university can grant: an honorary doctorate or fellowship. Amongst them will be legendary British & European Director of Vogue Edward Enninful OBE, as well as one of the most recognizable and awarded choreographers of today, Wayne McGregor CBE. They will receive their awards from the prestigious Chancellor of the Royal College of Art alongside over 2,000 graduating students, in a ceremony at the renowned Royal Festival Hall. After their many contributions to the fashion and art world, the only surprise is that they didn’t obtain the honour sooner.

In the fashion corner, Edward Enninful has been praised by both the public and the industry alike for his groundbreaking work and championship of diversity and inclusivity. He has broken the Internet, the industry, and several records during his stint in the fashion world. First, by being named the youngest fashion director of I-D magazine at just 19, and then by becoming the first man, and black editor to hold the position at British Vogue in 2017. Here, he created the diverse and trailblazing covers the publication is now famed for. Some notable cover stars have been young activist Greta Thunberg, 85-year-old Judi Dench, global popstar Rihanna, and footballer Marcus Rashford. He was even behind Vogue’s first-ever braille edition this past May.

It’s safe to say, the Ghana-born artist has come a long way since he first got scouted as a model in London. It was that moment that led to his 20-year tenure at the edgy I-D magazine, followed by a seven-year post as Creative and Fashion Director of the iconic American magazine W. During this time he heavily contributed to American and Italian Vogue, a forecast to his future relationship with the magazine to which he has been European Editorial Director of since 2020.

Being bestowed an honorary doctorate isn’t the only tribute he has welcomed; in 2014 he was named Fashion Creator of the Year by the British Fashion Council, which recognized him again in 2021 as a Leader of Change. He was honored with an OBE in 2016 for Services to Diversity in the fashion industry and also won the Global Media Trailblazer accolade at the British LGBT Awards in 2022. As if this wasn’t impressive enough, his 2022 memoir, A Visible Man, is a Sunday Times Bestseller.

About the honorary doctorate, Enninful said: “I am honored to receive this doctorate from the Royal College of Art, an institution which has given so much to the creative community. Education is a privilege to be part of; it offers a robust and rewarding foundation for life and I am forever blown away by the talents of the people who pass through the doors here. To be welcomed into the RCA’s history forevermore is a very special moment.”

Equally as impressive in the dance corner, multi-award-winning choreographer and director Wayne McGregor will receive the doctorate alongside Enninful. The British artiste got his start in the early 90s with his Company Wayne McGregor, and has since gained international fame for his experimental performances that have redesigned how we think of dance today. How? By expanding the meaning of the word dance, including within it technology, visual art, film, and opera. This has positioned him at the helm of the avant-garde contemporary art scene for almost 30 years. If ABBA Voyage sounds familiar to you, it’s his innovative hand that’s behind it.

In between touring the world with his company and working with the likes of Margaret Atwood, McGregor is also somehow carving the time to be Resident Choreographer of the Royal Ballet since 2006. On top of that, he’s the Director of Dance for the Venice Biennale. His legendary work here has made him a highly in-demand choreographer for the entertainment industry, with previous commissions including Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and music videos for Radiohead. Oh, and he’s a Professor of choreography at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. We’re overwhelmed just thinking about it all. It’s no wonder he was first in the dance category of London’s Most Influential People in 2018, or that he received a CBE for his services to Dance in 2011. You must have a deep passion for something to dedicate yourself to it so fervently. When asked about the origin of his love for dance in an interview this year, McGregor’s response was oddly relatable: “It’s probably one that’s quite well-known but it is a true one … it was seeing Saturday Night Fever for the first time.”

About his doctorate award, he stated: “The RCA – a world-leading, industry-defining institution (in the best city in the world) has nurtured an inspirational alumni, changing our creative, ethical, and political landscape daily. I feel extremely fortunate to be honored today in their company. Many of my incredible collaborators have been RCA schooled: provocative, individual, and divergent thinkers, always taking the unconventional path to rich new seams of the possible.”

After over two decades of standing out in two of the most competitive creative industries in the world(fashion and dance), it’s safe to say that these talented individuals have more than earned their honorary doctorate degrees– no college attendance required.

]]> Wow, what a night! It seems as if this year’s Oscars are serving us the hottest beauty looks to date. From solitary smokey eyes, blushed pink eyelids, or a bold red lip, glamorous looks are abundant. Throughout history, the Oscars have been renowned as the pinnacle of Hollywood glamour and this year was no exception. Classical looks were given an edgy twist to harmonise with modern-day culture, with beauty and fashion working hand-in-hand beautifully. Here are some of our most memorable looks this year;

Willow Smith

Known for her grungy style, Willow matched the red accents on her outfit with a subtle red eyeshadow and bold red lip. The powerful black leather outfit was paired with the subtle but effective red makeup look. The red shadow placed in the eyes’ inner corner then dragged under the lower lash line fits in with Willow’s style whilst showing us the range within her beautiful looks.

Lily James

Lily James walked the red carpet wearing a stunning blush pink, crystallised Versace dress, with a complimentary beautiful smokey rose eyeshadow look. Makeup courtesy of Hung Vanngo, the star rocked an all Anastasia Beverly Hills lineup of products. Flawless skin with a subtle blushed cheek and coral pink lip, the rosy eye look stole the show! A range of different pinks used to create the smokey matte look fits perfectly with the James’ pink toned dress. A twist on the classic black smokey eye, this is a softer and sweeter looking rendition!

Emily Ratajkowski

Once again, Hung Vanngo struck gold with this neutral soft glam look on Emily Ratajkowki. A classic black winged liner is precisely drawn on the upper lid, which then glides down through Emily’s water line to meet in a small wing in her inner corner, this creates the solitary cat-eyed look. Paired with a blushed cheek and a full nude lip, this look is simplistic but beautiful. Opting for a natural flushed and freckled skin base, all the attention is on the eyes.

Laura Harrier

Also serving a nude soft glam look courtesy of Hung Vanngo, Laura Harrier is seen rocking a nude glossy lip with flawless glowy skin. Using a darker shadow in the eye’s crease and a lighter matte shadow on the lid has drawn us into her eyes. The chin-length curly bob is giving us 30’s Hollywood glamour vibes, paying an ode to the classic Hollywood glamour the academy awards usually bring us!

Zendaya

It girl Zendaya was spotted at the Vanity Fair after-party wearing a structured masc/fem suit. Paired perfectly with a sleek deep side-part low ponytail and a stunning shimmery silver makeup look the actress has left us stunned! The silver and black smokey eye was paired up with a natural pink glossy lip to deliver a perfect mixture of elegance and edge. Zendaya has done it again!

Zoe Kravitz

Wearing a gorgeous baby pink YSL dress, Zoe wore a sweet and subtle pink eyeshadow look with a small winged liner and bright highlighted inner corner. But, the pink didn’t stop with the eyes – pink blush and a rose nude lip tied everything in perfectly. The short sleek hair has become a staple for Zoe and we are obsessed! The edgy hair styling matches perfectly with the classic and cute pink dress.

Rachel Zegler

West Side Story star Rachel Zegler was spotted at the Oscars with a slick, short 1930’s inspired hairstyle. The deep side part with flicked up ends is giving us classic Hollywood glamour, especially with the heavy jewellery. She rocked a classic brown smokey shadow look and a natural nude lip, resulting in vintage glamour rejuvenated!

Billie Eilish

The “No Time To Die” Bond singer took the red carpet with her usual grunge twist, but this time with a glamorous elegance to it. Her new style debuted at the Met Gala 2021, and she kept this style alive during her Oscars appearance with a soft, side part hairdo. The subtle flicked up ends is paired perfectly with soft and natural makeup. Pale porcelain-like skin just looks so good with the bold black dress and slick hair, what’s not to love about this look!

Vanessa Hudgens

Vanessa Hudgens was seen with a slick middle-part up-do, and a sleek fox eye to match the vibe. The Tick Tick Boom co-star rocked this soft glam makeup look, the brown-toned eye was paired with a brown-toned matte lipstick to complete the look, serving a modern twist on Hollywood glamour and we are here for it!

Maddie Ziegler

The dance moms superstar turned actress came to impress at her first Oscars! Draped in Swarovski crystals and a big gown, her minimal and natural makeup complimented the look perfectly. Makeup artist Tonya Brewer did a natural rosy pink lip and a soft cat-eye look, with a bold bronzed cheek to give Maddie that summer glow. The whole look came together and matched perfectly with her classical elegant up-do and two fallen strands to frame her face, definitely a look we can get behind!

Chlöe Bailey

Seen wearing an elegant purple gown, Chlöe wore a shimmery purple eye look to match, with extra voluminous bee-hive hair, the singer stunned us on the red carpet. Her purple and pink-toned eye shadow smoked out to create a softer more solitary look, not taking too much attention away from the eyes, Chlöe wore a pale glossy nude lip. The hair, the makeup and the outfit all work together so well and stand out to us as a stunning look!

Megan Thee Stallion

Meg had all our attention at this year’s Academy Awards! Wearing a periwinkle blue dress, Megan had the perfect hair and makeup to match. An elegant sleek low bun with swirled edges to match her dress, and a snatched makeup look to die for! The matte cut-crease eyeshadow look was giving sweet but sexy, and the glossy nude lip is a staple for this type of look. All together, Megan’s look worked beautifully, a balance of both her style whilst mimicking old Hollywood glamour.

Halsey

Seen wearing a sexy lace one piece by Dolce Gabbana at the Vanity Fair after-party, the pop star matched it perfectly with her slick cropped hair and dark eye look. An ode to old Hollywood was paid again by parting the hair with a deep side parting and flicking up the ends. She kept her base makeup nice and neutral whilst rocking a bold black spiked liner look, something bolder than what they’re used to. We like this dark sexy side and hope to see it more often!

]]> The Academy Awards returned for their 2022 showing last night to celebrate the past year in film, and it was an eventful night… for numerous reasons. Not least of all being the fashion on display, though. The stars really raised their A games last night and graced the event with countless stunning looks which will go down in the Oscars fashion history book. Here’s our rundown of the best looks of the night from both the red carpet and the ever so exclusive afterparty!

Red Carpet

Lily James

Baby Driver actress Lily James arrived on the red carpet wearing an evening gown from Versace’s atelier collection. The gown, which was coloured in a pleasing pastel pink, was intricately designed featuring a long skirt made of rosewater georgette and finished off with ruffles, Chantilly lace and some beautifully detailed micro embroidery.

Zoë Kravitz

Hot off the heels of the release of The Batman, Zoë Kravitz wore a distinctly more traditionally feminine outfit than her alter ego Catwoman would ever be seen wearing. The dress, courtesy of Yves Saint Laurent, accentuated Kravtiz’s figure and was adorned with a large bow on the chest for a touch of extra flair.

Zendaya

Attending the event as part of the cast of Dune, which was nominated for a staggering ten awards, including the coveted Best Picture, Zendaya looked flawless in a custom Valentino Haute Couture look. The pristine look consisted of two parts, a cropped double satin silk shirt in white and a flowing skirt in a shimmering silver.

Halle Bailey

Grown-ish star, and future Princess Ariel, Halle Bailey appeared at the ceremony for the first time to present the award for Best Animated Feature Film, which was won by Encanto, and looked fittingly like a Disney princess whilst doing so. Bailey wore a bright teal strap-gown which featured a wrap skirt with a thigh-slit. Is this a sneak peek at the kinds of outfits her version of Ariel will be sporting?

Chloe Bailey

Halle’s sister, and fellow Grown-ish star, Chloe was also present wearing a dramatic purple gown. The gown, which was royally coloured in a deep purple, melted down from Chloe’s neck and out onto the floor leaving a huge trail. Bailey also wore a pair of matching purple heels and some purple eyeshadow, increasing those royal vibes to the absolute maximum.

Rachel Zegler

Presenting the award for Best Visual Effects, West Side Story star Rachel Zegler wore a black beaded gown from Dior’s Couture collection. The wonderful detail of the gown also extended around to its back, which was braided by the brand’s creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri.

Megan Thee Stallion

Megan Thee Stallion took the audience by surprise last night by appearing to perform the smash hit We Don’t Talk About Bruno from Disney’s Encanto. The rapper appeared in one of the most striking dresses of the night, a slate blue strapless gown embellished with sequins which flowed out into dramatic waves. Some finishing touches of jewellery, including a ring with a shining blue gem, added to the ultra elegant look.

Beyoncé

Arriving at the Oscars ready for her live performance (we’ll get into that look later) and nominated for Best Original Song, Beyoncé wore a dramatic yellow gown whilst on the red carpet and seated in the audience. The gown consisted of a form fitting dress which led out into a small trail and a billowing cape which added a wonderful side of theatricality to the outfit. Not content with the cape, Bey also wore some opera gloves for added elegance and sported some huge diamond earrings.

Rickey Thompson

Former Vine creator Rickey Thompson brought all the drama to the red carpet! The internet personality wore an outfit from Italian brand GCDS and completely slayed everyone in his path. Strutting his stuff in a black velour cape twisted over his right side and fitted with loose, hanging jewels, Thompson looked like royalty. The jewels didn’t stop on the cape, though, with more hanging down his torso and from his ears. Truly a spectacle of the night.

Jada Pinkett Smith

Matrix Resurrections star Jada Pinkett Smith was dressed in a stunning emerald dress courtesy of Jean Paul Gaultier. Tailored to fit and with a high neck up top, the dress billowed out into a stunning collection and trail of ruffles below for a truly magical appearance. With matching green heels from Jimmy Choo and jewellery from Glenn Spiro, Jada was a jewel on the red carpet.

Mila Kunis

Four Good Days star Mila Kunis attended the red carpet with her husband Ashton Kutcher in a haute couture dress courtesy of Zuhair Murad. The misty rose coloured dress was a luscious satin and featured a belt, ruched bodice, asymmetrical neckline and an attached overskirt for a truly regal appearance.

Billie Eilish

With her Bond song No Time to Die winning the award for Best Original Song, Billie also could have won the award for Most Gothic Outfit on the red carpet. Dressed entirely in black, complete with dyed hair, the singer wore a dramatic tulle dress, with tulle appearing all over the dress and popping out in all directions.

Jessica Chastain

It was a big night for Jessica Chastain as she won the award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her part in The Eyes of Tammy Faye. Chastain attended the red carpet in a custom Gucci gown embellished with sparkling sequins and finished with a ruffle-trimmed hem. The top of the dress also featured a cool ombre effect, starting off as orange before morphing into a gentle pink further down.

Beyoncé

For her performance of Be Alive, Bey stripped away the humongous yellow cape from earlier and slipped into something more stage ready. The Queen’s Gambit star Anya Taylor-Joy rocked up to the afterparty in a strikingly gothic sheer black gown. The gown featured small ruffles along the chest and draped down elegantly to the floor. Anya was also wearing what looked like a sheer veil over her head, giving off extreme gothic bride vibes. We appreciate the gravitas and drama.

Laura Harrier

BlacKkKlansman star Laura Harrier appeared at the afterparty sporting some serious haute couture Cruella De Vil vibes. The Off-White dress, fittingly titled ‘The Diva’, consisted of a shimmering black dress embroidered with sequined white dots which started off smaller towards the top of the dress before gradually getting bigger further down.

Kendall Jenner

Kendall Jenner was serving some serious Matrix realness at the afterparty last night, in a dress from Balenciaga. The model was wrapped up like the sleekest present imaginable in a dramatic black dress with some serious tulles which led into a slick trail and revealed some smooth black shoes. The finishing sunglasses only added to the cool factor.

Adwoa Aboah

Model Adwoa Aboah wore a stunning dress from Christopher Esber for the event’s afterparty. The sparkling dress ran from Aboah’s chest down to the floor and featured a unique cut out pattern on her torso with parts of the dress twisting around itself. This incredibly unique cut was one of the most striking looks of the afterparty, no doubt.

Hosted by comedian and actress Rebel Wilson, we saw wins for actors Joanna Scanlon, Will Smith, Ariana DeBose, Troy Kotsur and Lashana Lynch, with the big film winners of the night being The Power of the Dog (Best Film) and Belfast (Best British Film). In addition to the winners of the ceremony, there were also countless winners on the red carpet with the stars pulling out all of the stops for this year’s ceremony. Read on to discover the fashion winners of the night in all of their glamorous glory!

Sienna Miller

Actress Sienna Miller rocked up to the ceremony in a flowing silky dress courtesy of Gucci, and touched up with a necklace and earrings from Boucheron, adding a shining sparkle to her outfit. She also donned a pair of dramatic black laced gloves which added just the right amount of glamorous flare to the look.

Daisy Edgar-Jones

Normal People actress Daisy Edgar-Jones also wore a Gucci dress for the evening with hers being an extravagant custom shimmering piece in an icy blue hue. The sheer amount of sparkle from the dress clearly wasn’t enough though, as she was also wearing a bracelet and rings courtesy of Tiffany & Co. The mere presence of Daisy’s outfit made the whole night sparkle a whole lot more.

Florence Pugh

Florence Pugh looked a world away from her characters in films Midsommar and Black Widow, trading their looks of casual wear and skin-tight fighting gear for an elegantly tailored mini dress from Carolina Herrera with a delicately flowing pastel pink train attached at the back, adding a nice pop of colour to the outfit. Florence was also donning some Boucheron jewellery with two fabulous, glimmering rings adding a subtle but noticeable touch of shine to the outfit.

Salma Hayek

Salma Hayek added a wonderful touch of royalty to the red carpet in a glamorous velvet gown by Gucci in a romantically deep purple. The dress itself was lined with lace along the sleeves and chest, with subtly raised shoulders which gave Hayek a very vintage look which she pulled off flawlessly. Her painted black nails and Boucheron jewellery only added to that vintage glamour.

Simone Ashley

Bridgerton star Simone Ashley was definitely one of the most colourful stars of the night in a hot pink Valentino get-up consisting of a sheer top, oversized trousers and a dramatic cape. As if the bright colour wasn’t enough, Simone also accessorised with a bracelet from Tiffany & Co. to add just a tad of sparkle to shine amongst the pink.

Ariana DeBose

Oscar de la Renta was the designer of choice for West Side Story star Ariana DeBose, whose bright yellow dress was perfect as spring is just around the corner. The cut of the dress was also very vintage, twisting around DeBose and leading into a trail behind her, all while allowing her to flash some leg. She also wore some Bulgari jewellery and accessorised the dress itself with a stunning ruby red brooch which complimented the yellow of the dress beautifully.

Millie Bobby Brown

Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown was dressed head-to-toe in Louis Vuitton, going for a gothic look which added a sense of drama to the red carpet. The velvet top of the dress led into a Victorian styled lace skirt which provided a cool texture contrast for the look. The actress also wore a lace bralette and elegant black opera gloves to really tie the gothic vibe together.

Zawe Ashton

Handmaid’s Tale star Zawe Ashton also brought some pink to the runway much like Simone Ashley. Whilst the pink of Zawe’s outfit wasn’t as loud as Simone’s it still nevertheless provided a pleasing pop of colour for the red carpet, with the calming shade of pink being very tranquil on the eyes. The dress was provided by Emilia Wickstead and flew loosely down Ashton from neck to toe, creating a look that looked both glamorous and quite comfortable.

Shalom Brune-Franklin

Shalom Brune-Franklin, star of The Tourist, wore a cut-out gown embellished with sequins from top to bottom, all courtesy of Ermanno Scervino. The already dazzling look was made even more dazzling by rings from De Beer, giving Shalom one of the most sparkling outfits of the night.

Bimini Bon-Boulash

Drag Race UK star Bimini Bon-Boulash brought high glamour and high drama to the red carpet in a sheer asymmetrical lace dress paired with blue lace opera gloves and some wonderfully chic heels, with the whole look exuding power and glamour flawlessly. Bimini also accessorized with jewellery from De Beers to add just a little extra to the already amazing outfit.

Naomi Campbell

Icon of the fashion world, Naomi Campbell, wore a flowing velvet gown from Burberry and topped it off with some Fawaz Grusoi earrings and bracelet. It was by all accounts a very simple look, yet that didn’t make it any less striking or beautiful for Naomi, as she looked graceful and elegant to the core. There really is beauty in simplicity.

Emma Watson

Emma Watson wore a distinctly more modern look compared to the vintage feel that a lot of other stars went for and, of course, she looked fantastic. The Little Women star wore a monochromatic two-tone tulle dress with a slick black vest on top and a flowing white gown below. She also sported some elegant black heels which wrapped around her ankles and carried a chic white purse which complimented the vibe of the outfit wonderfully.

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga brought some vintage Hollywood glamour to the red carpet this year wearing a truly stunning twisted dress from Ralph Lauren in a gorgeous emerald green. Gaga accessorized with some Tiffany & Co. jewelry and a chic fluffy handbag, whilst also adding a typical Gaga touch to the outfit by donning some truly huge platform heels that made her presence well and truly known.

Daniel Kaluuya

Get Out and Queen & Slim star Daniel Kaluuya wore on one the most daring and mesmerizing coats we’ve seen on a red carpet so far this year. The coat, from Prada’s AW 2022 menswear collection, was oversized and lined with large blocks of teal fuzz across the middle of the arms and along the bottom quarter of the coat giving it a distinctly glamorous feel that isn’t all too common in menswear red carpet looks. Some chunky rings from Bulgari were accessorised tastefully and the white turtle-neck Daniel was wearing underneath the coat brought another level of class to an already undeniably classy look.

Adwoa Aboah

Fashion model Adwoa Aboah wore a strikingly elegant black gown courtesy of Yves Saint Laurent which draped gracefully down her body in a loose-fitting form for a very classic look. In addition to the dress she also wore some wonderful jewellery from Tiffany & Co, with her square earrings filled with a deep, dark blue being the standout pieces.

Alexa Demie

Euphoria star Alexa Demie wore a piece from Alaïa’s SS 22 collection last night which was one of the most unique outfits of the ceremony. The hot pink look was vibrant, whilst also cutting a unique silhouette with billowing sleeves draping down the actress’s arms and blending into the dress itself. Demie also wore a matching pink headpiece, adding just a touch more flair to the outfit.

]]> The MTV EMA awards are back in person this 2021 as opposed to last year’s event hosted within the walls of Zoom, where the Pandemic may have limited the freedom but the spirit was high and wardrobes were ravishing. This year the event took place in Budapest, Hungary at the Papp László Budapest Sportaréna. The MTV Europe Music Awards witnessed sensational wins and sizzling performances from the most celebrated artists, hosted by Saweetie but, what could be more anticipated than the awards, nominees, and performances? The gorgeous directory of the best dressed, of course! So, if you haven’t already guessed it, we evidently decided to curate the best looks of the night from your favorite celebrities.

Saweetie

Saweetie hosted the MTV EMA awards this year and indeed dressed for the occasion. Serving 11 striking looks for the event, we picked out the show stopper outfit that swept us away. The American Rapper who recently dropped her latest single, ‘Get It Girl’, arrived in a Givenchy gown. *insert drooling emoji* The roaring twenties-inspired gown features square-shaped sequins embroidered all over in a black-coffee tainted ombre effect with fringes featured at the hemline. The embellished neckline compensates for the neck accessories and the striking amber hair color compliments Saweetie’s outfit entree of the night.

The veil and sheer drama caught our attention and we couldn’t resist but come back for another serving of the Saweetie-look being royally served at the carpets; from Givenchy’s SS 22 elegance to the labels’ daring aura. The all-black outfit featured a sheer dress detailed with zipper slit and high neck super cropped top accentuated with faux fur asymmetrically wrapped across the chest. The look was finished off with a pair of black platform heels and a dramatic veil.

Winnie Harlow

Winnie Harlow’s off-beat combination of the knee-high boot with strappy heel won the look of the night. The dazzling fashion model swiveled her long locks and struck a pose in a David Koma outfit that had earlier set the SS/22 runway on fire. The ensemble features a dramatic feathered top along with a mini skirt with a bejeweled hemline.

Kim Petras

Kim Petra strutted the EMA carpet looking like a character stripped right off a Counter-Strike for the fashionistas and had us desperately looking for the right words to describe the rogue glam.Making checks look like a million bucks, the German singer donned a waist-high slit dress in yellow with buckled fasteners at the side. The dress features a cowl neckline morphed into a head covering and also includes a biker jacket along with a pair of knee-high embossed chunky boots and a chain-link neckpiece finishing the rugged look.

Sarah Faith Griffiths

Sarah Griffiths channeled a quirky Lolita look in a luxe pastel palette. The outfit features an extra dramatic bell-sleeved top in assemblages of lace, satin, and accordion pleats at the front with pearl bracelets highlighted at the sleeve and intertwined at the front of the skirt. Scalloped laces in different proportions take copious amounts of space on the outfit. Griffiths completed the outfit with a pair of chunky cream boots.

Rita Ora

It is no surprise that Rita Ora dropped this glamorous look at the award ceremony, she has always left us spellbound with her choicest outfits at the events. For this one, the crowd, yet again, was left stunned with the all-black dramatic jumpsuit from Jean-Louis Sabaji and Taika Waititi’s candid poses with the outfit. Swathed in dramatic detailings of feathers at the torso, Ora’s outfit features a trailing cape that captures all the evening glam. The look is finished with a pair of black Giuseppe Zanotti Pris wedge sandals from the Fall 2021 collection and drop earrings.

Jeny Bonsenge

Neon palettes in iterations of green and yellow have been doing generous rounds of the fashion seasons and celebrities have been embracing the Pantone in every event ever! Jeny was no stranger to this and donned a playful minidress that encapsulated all the oomph. The puffed dress is off-shoulder and features a pair of lime green fingerless opera-esque gloves. Bonsenge delved into some contrast pairing and wore a pair of pink pointed heels with the outfit.

Jedet

Jedet dazzled the carpets in all black with hints of gold. The sensational Versace gown is cold-shouldered with thigh-high slits framing her tattoo. The sheer elegance also features a knotted detail at the waist and a deep neckline. The actress concluded the look with a pair of gold platform heels, chain-link choker, and earrings.

Oumi Janta

Neon had Oumi Janta on board too! She decided to bring in her sporty vibe at the event garnished with a side of glam. The skating star decided to take athleisure for a glamorous spin and wore a co-ord set featuring a cropped jacket and a pair of flared drawstring joggers. The highlight of the get-up are the blue lipstick and hair-do that instantly catch all the well-deserved attention.

Gaja Prestor

Gaja Prestor looked stunning in the evening jumpsuit with a dramatic ruffled floor-length trail featuring a plunging neckline. Cinched at the waist, the outfit is paired with a leather jacket, a black handbag from The Lie by JPZ, a two-layered neckpiece, and a pair of hoop earrings.

The supermodel wore an iconic vintage dress from the Jean Paul Gaultier archives, featuring a sculptural white silhouette contrasted with black sheer fabric draping around the neck, and flowing into a long dramatic train. The beauty of her look was solidified with a selection of diamonds and rubies from the Chopard Haute Joaillerie collection.

He wore his trademark sneakers as well — a custom pair made by Nike with his face adorning the shoes, mixed in his famed shade of purple. Maggie Gyllenhaal has a fashion sense known to blend unexpected elements of cool with flowing fashion lines, and her Cannes red carpet look of course did not disappoint. The actress (who is a juror at this year’s festival) wore a champagne Hedi Slimane for Celine gown and cape that felt reminiscent of the height of 70s disco Grecian glamour. She topped off the look with bold Chopard diamond hoops and a sapphire ring, finishing it off with Jimmy Choo heels.

It’s that time of year again – finally, the BET Awards are back and they have given us some incredible beauty inspiration. Black culture’s biggest night brought the hype with the likes of Mereba’s Medusa-like hair, Saweetie Arabian nights vibe and of course, Megan Thee Stallion looking drop dead. Here is a roundup of our favourite looks:

Megan Thee Stallion

Hot Girl Meg bought some serious glam to the red carpet. Sticking to her trademark graphic smoky eye look, she rocked sleek middle-parted hair with baby hair carefully styled on her flawless skin, ombre lips and big lashes.

Saweetie

Icy. Channeling her inner Arabian goddess Saweetie’s makeup artist Stephanie Nimoh created a flawless sunkissed base complete with a smoked out brown eye and perfectly arched brows. Hairstylist JStayReady coiled her golden blond hair into a tight sleeked back bun and beautifully placed baby hairs onto her face.

Mereba

This hairstyle is nothing short of a masterpiece – the complex braiding has become something of a staple for the artist. Her lit-from-within skin, elongated cat eye and gilded inner corner are iconic and go perfectly with this jaw-dropping look.

Sevyn Streeter

This look is retro-diva at its finest. Makeup artist Deanna Paley packed an icy blue on the eyes with a touch of silver on the inner corners for a multidimensional effect. Lips are very 90’s, with a dark brown liner and pink high shine gloss which makes this look a throwback masterpiece. Sevyn’s hair frames her face from under a headband (which is the same material as her outfit) and is curled in at the ends for extra drama.

Coi Leray

It seems 90’s makeup is having a moment recently. Coi Leray makes waves on the red carpet with cute braids, perfectly swirled baby hairs and lashes that could get caught in the wind and take you kite surfing.

H.E.R

Just look at that Hollywood wave. Hair is styled to absolute perfection looking glossy, full with a deep side part. H.E.R is all aboard the emerald eye shadow trend train, which looks fab with her whole ensemble. Makeup artist Marissa Vossen also warmed up the skin with a subtle blush and perfectly lined lips.

]]> The BAFTA 2021 TV awards were held last night, and although some may think they’re not as relevant as their film counterpart this year’s ceremony proved us the exact opposite.

From its awaited guests and nominees, the moving speeches, and most importantly (for us) the incredible fashion… everything about last night served, and in all honesty, even exceeded our expectations.

So let’s have a look at our favourite fashion from the night, starting from Nicola Coughlan’s Valentino moment:

Nicola Coughlan in Valentino

A custom Valentino gown in a bright orange colour for the Bridgeton actress. A bold choice that perfectly reflects the current fashion trends and adds some colour to a red carpet that’s often characterised by classic (and sometimes unsaturated) choices. To make everything better the gown was matched with a vibrant smokey eye makeup, creating a contrast of tones while remaining in the vivid theme.

Letitia Wright in Prada

Talking about classic looks, Letitia Wright’s choice for the night is a modern alternative to one. A simple, yet sparkly, little black Prada shirt dress with matching black strappy heels. A very Prada look if you ask us, maybe not the most daring but certainly one of our favourite elegant choices of this red carpet.

Vick Hope in Bevza

An all-black silk dress moment worn by Vick Hope. Classic, once again, simple, yet stunning thanks to the complementing bohemian hairstyle and gold necklaces from Versace and Bulgari Stellar 79 Jewellery.

Billie Piper in Moschino

Alternating from the previous all-black options, Billie Piper’s look is here to spice things up. A Moschino little black dress with a pink sash puff sleeve. A balanced mix between fun and elegant, with all the attention given to the dress resulting from the minimal choice of accessories and laid-back hair.

A’whora in Kevin Garmanier

An eccentric option that we can’t stop talking about. A’whora’s sustainable glittery feathered dress was the fashion highlight of the night for us.

The hugging design of the Kevin Germanier look matched with jewellery by Cristopher Kane and the vivid makeup couldn’t have been more glamorous, nor daring.

Bimini Bon Boulash

Bimini Bon Boulash surprised us, as always after all. This time with a unique piece created by Central Saint Martins Womenswear graduates @demthe1st, @asabrietbratta and @kitty_d_h. The high-neck jade green gown with matching platform heels was one of the unforgettable looks of the night, whether green is your colour or not we are certain that you’ll love this look as much as we did.
