Grammy Makeup Looks We Are OBSESSED With

Once again, our social media feeds have been graced with some show-stopping looks from one of the music industry’s biggest nights of the year, the 2023 Grammy Awards. These looks had to be magnificent for a night that shows some of the best music we had this past year.

Some of the makeup and hair looks that our favourite celebrities rocked have got us in a chokehold, and we are eager to try them out on ourselves. So, sit back, relax, and soak up some of the looks seen from this year’s Grammy Awards.

Cardi B

Leave it to none other than Cardi B to bring the sass to the Grammys as she rocked a colourful winged eyeliner that matched her eccentric outfit perfectly. The singer completed the look with a glossy brown lip combo that really allowed the eyeliner and outfit to do all the talking.

We are totally obsessed with her eyeliner; it is simple but sassy as it flatters the shape of Cardi’s eye and has a small feline flick at the end.

Her make-up artist Erika La‘Pearl used essentials from Pat McGrath Labs to create this gorgeous look that is subtle but striking, just what we wanted to see.

Mac does a lovely gel pencil eyeliner that is long-lasting and has a beautiful rich pigment, perfect for recreating a look like Cardi B’s. If you’re a lover of liquid eyeliner, why not try the Kiko Super Colour Waterproof Eyeliner for this look? It comes in an irresistible electric blue that will help entice you to try this look out on yourself.

Lizzo

You asked for boldness, well Lizzo delivered! She really does make a convincing argument in favour of highly pigmented and flushed beauty looks and honestly, we are so here for it.

The singer wore a flurry of pink across her lips, cheeks, and eyes all in a similar shade. Her almost resembles the new pink-setting powder trend we’ve seen recently where influencers are setting their make-up with pink-setting powder or making their blusher more prominent, this look feels like an adaptation to that trend.

Lizzo wore Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk Matte Beauty Blush Wand in the shade Dream Pop to create this look.

Matching her orange gown, this look accompanied her vibe perfectly and was really the finishing touch of the look.

It’s bold, sexy, and most importantly it appears relatively easy to do, so a winner all around in our books.

Bebe Rexha

Our next jaw-dropping look from the 2023 Grammy Awards is one styled by Bebe Rexha. If anyone at the awards was an advocate for pink blush it’s this chick.

She wore a flattering hot pink Moschino Gown with matching gloves that matched her pink, rosy blush perfectly. The blusher is really the main feature of this makeup look as it looks so natural, effortless, and sweet. We anticipate that she used a liquid blush on her base makeup which gives it that dewy texture and then went in and topped it up with powder blush to give it that strong pigment.

Seeing this look has convinced us that this year could be the year for the blush as it’s so irresistible and effortlessly pretty.

The Dior Rosy Glow Blush is a brilliant product to get your hands on as the pigment is irresistible and its texture utterly divine. If you like something with a little shimmer why not try the Milani Baked Blush, it’s super pigmented and has a lovely shimmery finish to it.

For a dewy natural-looking liquid blush, Max Factor does a gorgeous dewy liquid blush that is shimmery and natural looking when on the skin.

Adele

We couldn’t talk about the Grammy and not mention Adele, could we? Course not! Adele brought her elegance and charisma to the Grammys this year like she does every year and styled an old Hollywood look that included rose gold eyeshadow and muted coral lips.

Her hair was gorgeously styled in a blowout form. Her dress accompanied her make-up alongside her nails perfectly, this look was meant to be.

Her make-up matched her look perfectly and we are totally obsessed. She rocked a very soft glam look, and we think that the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Divine Neutrals Eyeshadow palette would be a perfect palette to use if you were thinking about recreating this look. It has a lovely selection of neutral beige and pink tones that match Adele’s look beautifully.

Adele styled a matte coral lip and the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution lipstick in shade Sexy Sienna could be a nice brighter version of her lip combo. Alternatively, the Beauty Pie Future lipstick in shade Baby Beige is a close dupe to the lip combo Adele rocked at the Grammys.

Laverne Cox

We’ve saved one of the best looks until last. Laverne Cox had a Cleopatra moment on the red carpet as she styled a gold look that had gold detailing not just on her clothes and accessories, but within her makeup and hair too.

She styled bold bambi eyeliner and gold foils on her eyelids alongside a nude lip combo. She branded the front of her hair and tied a gold hair tie around her braids at eye length.

The eye look is incredible and one of the most creative make-up looks we’ve seen on the red carpet. It’s very glam and full of energy so, of course, we fell in love with it instantly.

This gold foil look was created by Deja Smith and can be done at home with either glittery gold liquid eyeliner or by using foils as Deja has.

Kiko and Dior both do lovely, pigmented gold eyeliner that comes in liquid and pen forms making them easy to use and create masterpieces with.
