But her sartorial moments didn’t end there, later in the night, she took the stage in a dazzling custom Swarovski dress, dripping in over one million crystals as she belted out Diamonds Are Forever in a spectacular James Bond tribute.

Making her Oscars debut, Raye stunned in a fiery red, floor length Vivienne Westwood gown, perfectly complementing the rich tones of the carpet. Chanel celebrated a monumental milestone in haute couture with its Spring/Summer 2025 collection, marking 110 years of timeless elegance. Held in the newly renovated Grand Palais in Paris, the show was a tribute to Gabrielle Chanel’s enduring legacy, infused with modernity, craftsmanship, and a nod to the infinite renewal of the brand’s iconic design ethos. 

The collection embraced Chanel’s duality, steeped in heritage yet forever forward looking. Drawing inspiration from Gabrielle Chanel’s lesser-known love for vibrant hues and Karl Lagerfeld’s opulent archival palettes, the collection explored an 18th century colour spectrum of sugared almon shades, combined with bold pastels and rich tones. 

“We’re celebrating the 110th anniversary of the couture at Chanel. We had to mark the occasion,” said Bruno Pavlovsky, president of fashion at Chanel. “The collection embodies infinite renewal, a theme central to the house’s legacy for over a century.” 

Crafted with precision, the collection balanced practicality with artistry, presenting youthful silhouettes that transitioned seamlessly from day to night. Daywear featured cropped tweed jackets, short skirts, and colourful satin linings, while eveningwear captivated with flowing gowns and intricate embellishment. Each piece reflected the timelessness of Chanel’s philosophy, where wearability meets haute couture sophistication. 

The colour palette mirrored the journey of a day-from soft pastels like mint green and mauve to the deep, dramatic hues of midnight blue and black. Signature Chanel tweeds were reimagined with vibrant linings in emerald green, royal blue, and purple, injecting modern energy into classic designs. Fabrics and details stole the spotlight, with sheer tulle, floral embroidery, and feather accents adding depth and texture. Prints featuring translucent floral petals evoked a dreamlike quality, while standout pieces included a yellow satin shirtdress with rhinestone buttons and a black lace gown adorned with feather detailing.

The collection also highlighted the meticulous artistry of Chanel’s petites mains. The delicate embroidery on gowns and the intricate hand painted floral prints showcased the unparalleled craftmanship of the atelier, a hallmark of Chanel’s haute couture legacy. 

The Grand Palais served as the perfect backdrop for Chanel’s ode to infinite renewal. Designed by acclaimed creative director Willo Perron, the runway’s Mobius band structure symbolised continuity, echoing the house’s iconic double-C logo. The serene, sweeping set reinforced a sense of calm optimism, an apt reflection of Chanel’s enduring influence. This architectural choice further reflected the brand’s forward momentum as it prepares for the arrival of new creative director Matthieu Blazy later this year. 

The star-studded front row featured a dazzling array of celebrity guests, including Kylie Jenner, Dua Lipa, Jennie Kim, Lily-Rose Depp, and Pamela Anderson. Each embodied Chanel’s modern muse, blending timeless glamour with a youthful spirit. The Jenner sisters showed their love in complementary looks that harmonised cut outs in a balanced composition of designs. The focal point on Kendall’s Schiaparelli gown drew the eyes to the top of the dress while Kylie’s vintage Mugler dress had a point of interest around her hips. These designs together expertly balanced the looks, allowing them to stand together as strongly as they stand alone, neither taking away from the other.

Davine Joy Randolph

Stunning Davine really was divine in gorgeous Louis Vuitton gown that emulated the contemporary and timeless in an expert marriage of past and present. The classic ballgown silhouette was tailored to the 21st century with the addition of scoping where the skirt meets the bodice, creating a soft movement instead of more traditional pleats. The think, structured bandeau design also roots the look in 2024, upgrading a classic off-the-shoulder look into a more visually complex cut. In the sea of daring celebs at the gala, we know Davine really was the belle of the ball in this look.

Laura Harrier

In gorgeous Ludovic De Saint Sernin design, Laura Harrier took on an almost dom look in black, studded dress. The cut outs along the skirt spiral downwards in an innovative look that other celebs at the gala didn’t risk, and for that reason we’re loving this design more and more. This cool-toned palette emulates gorgeous blue lagoons and casts the image of Addison being washed upon the shore in an effortlessly Aphrodite manner. The intricate lace and sheer detailing is almost lingerie-esque and the elegant blowout and simple makeup adds to the natural beauty and really shows us how exquisite natural beauty is.

The ruched fabric in deep matte black took on a sheer quality due to the sewing technique, creating a complex characteristic to the shade as it reflects light and casts shadows. In another Louis Vuitton design, Jaden Smith has stayed true to his edgy, non- conforming roots in a crystal studded suit and statement shirt. The white undershirt has a high, ruched neckline in an almost old-fashioned, traditional look. The jacket sleeves, while hanging to the wrist, allow the arms to exit at the elbow in an innovative design that shows us what we can do with traditional look to upgrade them instead of sticking to the norm, embracing possibility. Paired with heeled boots and an array of rings, Jaden, like Winston, has embraced a touch of femininity in his look as he continues to challenge gender norms.

In a designer-celebrity match made in heaven pop princess Sabrina Carpenter attended the Giambattista Valli SS23 Haute Couture show in a delicate two-tone look from their SS23 Ready-To-Wear Collection. Not to mention the glitter platform heels that stole the show. The look matched Sabrina’s hyper-feminine style perfectly, and we really hope that we get to see her in more Giambattista Valli in the future.

Doja Cat

The avant-garde queen has truly been the star of Paris Fashion Week. Every look that she has worn has been outrageous and imaginative and we wish more celebrities had this level of dedication to fashion. Doja Cat attended the controversial Schiaparelli show covered in 30,000 red crystals, with body paint to match. The musician worked with make-up artist Pat McGrath to create the intricate beauty look to pair with her vibrant red outfit. The red corset and beaded skirt seamlessly blended with every other aspect of her look as the star took monochromatic dressing to a whole new level.

Has Bia declared that jeggings are back? In a turn of events that was not on our 2023 bingo card, Bia found the perfect way to style denim-look leggings. The rapper paired the controversial item with a cropped shirt and exposed thong, and as much as we hate to love it, it just works.

This little black dress from Miscreants is the perfect look for Raye’s personal style. She often puts a modern twist on Old Hollywood Glamour and the blue ruffle detail on this dress is the perfect way to do that. Bold fashion moves clearly run in the family as Noah Cyrus follows in her sister’s footsteps as one of our latest trend-setters. Noah was sporting a bleached brow that sharply contrasted her dark hair in her very high-fashion beauty look when attending the Arturo Obegero show this week. And it is safe to say that she also dressed the part, her sheer blue dress paired with dark black boots fed into the playful relationship between light and dark that her bleached brows set the stage for.

Ashley Graham gave us a Matrix-esque look this week that we loved. The long black trench coat from Outlier was paired with the famous Dion Lee ripped top and EB Denim cargos in an all-black-but-no-lack look that was far from boring. The outfit came together with a variety of textures and silhouettes to combat the absence of colour as Ashley traded in the model-off-duty look for a more undercover spy aesthetic.

Doja Cat (again)

Doja Cat continued her reign over Paris Fashion Week with this all-black ensemble that she wore to the Valentino Haute Couture show. The micro-bangs, duster cape and black co-ord came together to create a chic and fashionable look, but the look alone was lacking the personality that Doja Cat always injects into her outfits. And then came the bag. In true Doja Cat fashion, she needed to add a little something extra into her look and in this outfit, it came curtesy of a Chris Habana hand bag (no, not a handbag, a literal hand bag). The giant sparkling hand was put to good use as Doja used it to carry a large bottle of Patrón tequila with her, and just like that the look was complete.

]]> Keeping Up With the Kardashians may have only been off air for a year, but the Kardashians are already back with a brand new reality show following on from the mammoth 20 seasons of their global hit. Aptly titled The Kardashians, the show follows the lives of the Kardashian-Jenner family with a specific focus on sisters Kim, Kourtney and Khloé, their half-sisters Kendall and Kylie, their mum Kris, and the love interests of current and former Kardashian sisters, namely Travis Barker, Kanye West and Scott Disick.

Airing on Disney+ here in the UK, episode one premiered last week and whilst the show’s concept may seem virtually identical to its predecessor in terms of following the lives of the family, the main difference of The Kardashians is more in how the family share their lives. The filming style, for example, is much grander than KUWTK, with episode one opening up with sweeping drone footage travelling from sister to sister.

That’s not the only difference either, as the show is generally filmed more like a documentary than a reality show, with appropriate fourth wall breaking included (of course). Sometimes the show even feels like it’s mimicking The Office with the sisters looking directly into the camera and serving up some snarky and witty remarks, showing that they’ve lost none of their comic timing in their ten-month break from the air. The iconic confessionals of KUWTK are also back, however, this time around are sometimes filmed as the sisters are on the go in addition to the more traditional seated variants.

As for what the episode itself focused on though, it opened up with a grandiose barbeque at Kim’s house which brings all of the family together. This is a slightly different style of barbeque compared to the ones we’re used to though, featuring monochrome ball-pit slides, buffet trays made of the finest silver and clothes that aren’t typically seen as traditional barbeque wear… if that is even a thing. Make no mistake it is an undeniably Kardashian affair and is topped off with the family conspiring if Kylie’s baby is going to be a boy.

The other major plot point of the episode involves Kim getting ready for her hosting appearance on Saturday Night Live, sorting through bodysuits to decide which one she’s going to wear and deciding how she’s going to wear her hair on the night. There’s also some cheeky foreshadowing of her current partner Pete Davidson as Kim mentions how he helped calm her nerves about the hosting gig whilst they were at the Met Gala. Sweet stuff.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a show about the Kardashians if there wasn’t plenty of info about all the girls’ relationships and how they are getting on. Kourtney and Travis Barker are happily loved up and enjoying life in the early stages of their relationship, Kim and Kanye are in a, seemingly, good place but as we’ve seen with real-time events regarding their relationship over the past few months that isn’t going to last and it’s unclear if Kanye is going to appear on screen at all this time around, meanwhile Khloé and Tristan are co-parenting and attending Tristan’s therapy sessions which lead to the pair reminiscing on when Tristan cheated on Khloé when she was pregnant. A little awkward.

The episode crescendos with Kim on the phone with her lawyer as he explains that there’s a threat of additional sex tape footage of Kim from 20 years ago being leaked, not too dissimilar to how the very first episode of KUWTK ended all those years ago. The main difference this time around though is in Kim’s response to the matter, refusing to place any blame on herself and not being made to feel scandalous about the ordeal. The maturity and candidness in her response highlight just how much Kim has grown over the years since the original sex tape leak and showcase her taking control of her narrative rather than having a man try to control it instead. 

This lawsuit is bound to be one of the major plot points of the show over the coming episodes and with Kim having more power and status compared to all those years ago, as well as four children, things look set to play out very differently. We’ll just have to tune into the next episode to find out how!
