If, for you, the month ahead is all about re-organisation, especially as we head back to either school, or work, you will be thrilled to know that a series of new beauty releases are set to arrive this month – promising to spice up the dull and mundane. Below, you will find five of our favourites, from a mascara and a body scrub, to both brow gel and a bottle of setting spray.

Tower 28 Beauty MakeWaves Lengthening + Curling Clean Mascara

Tower28 Beauty’s new mascara is not only vegan, but ideal for sensitive eyes, proving a product that’s perfect for everybody. Utilising three flexible suspended bands, this mascara allows you to lengthen each lash via its lightweight and buildable formula – topped off with bold packaging to alleviate your winter blues. To use the product, simply use the inner wave of the dual-sided brush to build volume, before using the longer bristles to lengthen and define.

Fur KP Body Scrub

If you haven’t heard of KP, or are struggling to find products to combat it, Voir is here to help. Keratosis Pilaris is a skin condition that is caused by the overproduction of keratin, resulting in rough and bumpy skin. Sound familiar? Fur is at your rescue. Their new KP Body Scrub reduces bumps, flaky skin, redness, and irritation, using ingredients such as lactic acid, sunflower seed oil, and perlite. Use the product in the shower 2-3 times weekly, applying the body scrub in a gentle, circular motion on damp skin before rinsing and patting dry.

Anastasia Beverly Hills’ new Conditioning Brow Serum will create tamer, fuller-looking brows within an instant, employing a plethora of ingredients to provide long-term benefits too. ]]> Who said your eyes can’t be the statement piece? From hot pink lashes, pearl lined lids and neon decorated creases – it’s clear SS21 beauty is all about being bold, bright and brave. We’ve rounded up the best eye looks from our feeds this week to fuel your make up inspiration for the season.

Think Pink!

Nothing can make a look pop like a bold shade of hot pink. Not only is the colour trending in fashion, it’s found it’s limelight in the beauty world too – and not just with hair. Rowi Singh took to Instagram with an experimental, almost airbrush-like, look as part of her ‘Power Colour’ series and we’re up for the challenge of re-creating it. Using pink lashes by Isabelle De Vries and shades from Anastasia Beverly Hills Riviera palette, it’s impossible to not think pink this spring.

Ocean Eyes

One of our favourite looks by Doja in her recent ‘shadow experiments is this two-tone blue look which quite literally makes us think ‘ocean eyes’. With navy highlights on the crease and a wing created with paler blue tones on the outer eyes, lots of layer and depth is constructed. Note how you’re drawn to the eyes despite the coordinating blue top.

Lilac Magic

When in doubt add some lilac to your look, and what’s even better? Shimmer. In this full eye, artistic styling by Sophia Sinot – a mesmerising magical aura is created. With pops of highlight accentuating the lilac tones under the eye and nose, coloured gem freckles adding extra glam and the air-brushed effect providing an ethereal feel.

The Mint Edit

Ok so maybe you’d never thought to combine mint green and purple in your make up look, and we hadn’t – until now. These shades work together so well and Stenie took to Instagram to show us just how it’s done. With purple liner highlighting the eye, and bold cat eye-shaped mint shadow illuminating the entire lid – this look is bound to get you compliments this SS21.

A Touch Of Pearl

Pearls are definitely going to make a statement around your neck this spring, but who said they can’t be on your eyes too? In a chic, elegant smoky eye look, Char Barker lined her lids with small pearl studs which add a unique sense of texture and shimmer to the eyes. Although we can’t imagine the skill and patience it must take to apply each pearl, the effort is definitely worth it to create this head-turning eye statement.

The Eyes Chico They Never Lie

The main thing to take from this beauty looks round up is that your eyes are a canvas and it’s up to you to experiment and express yourself! Beauty influencer Soreya took to Instagram with a bold, neon patterned combination that is full of unbelievable talent – with contrasting pink tones on the lid and green highlighting the under eye and nose, created using melaliners by Chanel Cosmetics. There are no rules this SS21, go crazy.

The obsession with achieving flawless skin that comes hand in hand with summer always gets a bit tedious. Come autumn, our brains are overflowing with the relentless waves of information on How to achieve the perfect ‘lit from within’ skin, or The five best ‘no makeup’ makeup products for a natural summer glow. Not only are we expected to walk out the house every morning presenting the world with skin that is completely free from any kind of spot, red blotch or eye bag, but the blemish-free skin also must be radiating an ethereal golden glow as if we have just been placed on this earth by the gods.

Now that summer is a distant memory and Autumn is dead and gone, no matter how many ‘glow’ masks we desperately plaster onto our faces or the repulsive amount of money we spend on vibrating facial cleansers and chemical exfoliants in a bid to fight it, we are going to have to accept the dull, lifeless, dried out and blemished skin winter curses the majority of us with each year.

Yes it would be nice to be blessed with skin so perfect even tinted moisturiser isn’t necessary, but don’t you think the world of makeup is too exciting and intriguing for us to be aiming to achieve a makeup look that makes us look like we are wearing no makeup- Absurd!

Why spend the precious time you have on this earth worrying about the stubborn patch of acne on your cheek or your T-zone that is adamant on being greasy or the dark circles under your eyes that are determined to resist every eye brightening cream under the sun when we have had the gifts of full coverage foundation, concealer and contour sticks and highlighters bestowed upon us.

Not only do we have access to all the coverage and contour products our tired old winter faces could ever wish for, but pallet after pallet of eyeshadows in colours we didn’t even know existed are being churned out, sat on the shelves impatiently waiting for you.

And if the thought of being let loose on your own face with anything other than an Urban Decay Naked 3 pallet gives you palpitations, don’t panic. We have the holy trinity; YouTube, Instagram and Pinterest, just waiting to be opened like little digital bibles of makeup looks. Give the exasperated, old, crumbled nude-brown shadow that hit pan so many moons ago a break this New Year’s Eve, grab the deep turquoises, fuchsia pinks, zingy yellows and rich reds by the horns, get creative with the abundance of colours that are out there!

Your makeup shouldn’t just be used to survive, it should THRIVE!
