*Voir Exclusive* Welcome To Chippendales: A Series Full Of Business, Booze & Bare Butts. But It’s The Female Fashion Icons For Me.

Entrepreneurship, True Crime …and Male Strippers.

It’s a rare but intriguing trio that is urging us to watch Chippendales, the true-crime saga about an Indian Immigrant, Somen (Steve) Banerjee, and his world’s greatest male-stripping empire.

Yes, that’s right, Chippendales were the OG’s before Magic Mike!

“A world of Luxury right at your finger tips.”

Chippendales, formerly known as Destiny II, was the guilty pleasure of many females in the 80s which soon became a cultural phenomenon.

Based on true events from one of the leading male-striptease shows of the world and, from the creators of Pam & Tommy, comes Welcome To Chippendales. Whether you’re tuning into Disney+ on 11th January for the business mindset, the crime or [come on let’s be real] the hot stripper scenes, there is truly something for everyone.

This series takes us through 3 decades of styling, with major reference of Playboy inspired looks to tear away trousers. But the true fashionistas of this series are none other than the female icons.

Not only did Playboy’s Miss August, Dorothy Stratten – played so elegantly by Nicola Peltz – put on her own show of outfits through episode 1, we later discover that another woman boss, Denise Caughlin, is the mastermind behind our favourite male strip tease costumes. Thanks Denise for those rip away trousers! 😉

Voir takes an exclusive look at Welcome To Chippendales where we highlight our favourite looks that kept us wanting more. Dorothy, our main style icon, will make you want to click that next episode button alone.

We first see Dorothy in a white ruched deep V-neck dress styled with silver accessories. We love a good silver clutch bag and metallic platform heels to enhance a simple yet elegant white midi-dress.

The scene that brings Playboy to Chippendales.

Dorothy attends Chippendales on show night and runs through the crowd to suggest the idea of collars, bow ties and cuffs, giving the workers a “classy feel like Playboy” – Dorothy Stratten in Welcome to Chippendales.

Dorothy’s pure gold look makes it hard not to trust her. Wearing a metallic gold dress in a similar style to her first look, Dorothy pairs this with classic gold hoops and a gold chain necklace.

We’re not the only ones to think we’d totally wear this look now! Adding a playful and stylish twist on an 80s look, Dorothy wears a golden yellow V-neck crop top with white flares and a fur coat. We all know what’s going in our shopping basket.

If you’re not going to watch Chippendales for the stripper scenes, watch it for the fierce female icons causing disruption in a man-eating world with their fashion influence! Watch on Disney+ on 11th January.
