In celebration of the 20th anniversary of her legendary MTV Unplugged concert, Alicia Keys has announced the release of a deluxe 2-LP black vinyl edition, arriving October 3, 2025. Titled Unplugged 20th Anniversary, the reissue is being released through Legacy Recordings and AK Worldwide, marking a major milestone in Keys’ storied career.
The Performance That Made History
Originally recorded live on July 4, 2005, at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Alicia’s Unplugged performance was historic in more ways than one. It was the first MTV Unplugged by a female artist to debut at number one on the Billboard 200 — and the highest charting since Nirvana’s 1994 session.
This anniversary edition revisits that electric night, blending Alicia’s signature neo-soul sound with raw, stripped-back emotion.
