How your body looks is a testament to how hard it has fought and persevered. And this attitude is something we can all embody whether we’re breast cancer survivors or not and leading the way to self-love is none other than Kim Kardashian in her latest campaign to celebrate our bodies and what they are capable of.

While October certainly houses the season of frights, ghouls, and ghosts (we love you Halloween), October also explores a darker scare that we should all be aware of. October is breast cancer awareness month and while the focus should be on the fun things in life, we also need to pay special attention to our own health, as well as the wellbeing of those around us who may be feeling a little lost this month.

So, what better way to raise awareness and promote inclusivity that the queen of the Kardashian clan herself, Kim, to raise awareness in the promotion of her new Skims campaign; an ode to the wonderful Olivia Munn and her story.

Every scar tells a story of courage, a testament to a battle fought and a victory won. Scars are a mark of resilience, a symbol of strength worn like a second skin, and no one understands the importance of loving your scars like cancer survivors, and in particular, actress Olivia Munn. In March 2024, Olivia Munn revealed that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer the previous year. After four surgeries, including a double mastectomy, Olivia expressed her relief that it was caught with enough time that she had options, emphasising the importance of checking and remaining aware.

To spread this message, SKIMS have dedicated this month to raising awareness in order to empower women to check themselves regularly and advocate for your health in the instance that you feel something is wrong. This October, Skims is proud to spotlight Olivia Munn’s breast cancer journey to empower women to get tested. From October 23rd to October 31st, SKIMS will be donating to Susan G. Komen, a breast cancer foundation, 10% of the retail sales for each bra sold in SKIMS stores and on SKIMS.com across their US stores and sites again showcasing that Kim is more than stunning businesswomen, she is a mother and individual devoted to empowering women and making sure everyone feels sexy and confident in the own skin.

Another great beach look from German fashion influencer Leonie Hanne. Her outfit is simple yet stunning. She is wearing a black strappy bikini and a simple blue shirt, just flowing in the air. She put her hair into a sleek, low ponytail to round up the look. The star of the look is her sunglasses. The slim rectangular sunglasses have wide temple details and yellow lenses, giving her a retro look. 

 Rosie Huntington-Whiteley 

 Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is the queen of the model-off-duty looks. The model knows how to style neutrals and beiges exciting and sophisticatedly. In her recent Instagram post, she is posing in front of a mirror, wearing loose beige cargo pants and a white shirt. An off-white jumper is hanging over her shoulder. With a check shirt tied into a knot in the front, a blue jeans skirt, a bandana and a red lip, Lala is serving us a easy everyday look, perfect for a shopping spree or to meet some friends. Her sunglasses elevate her outfit, giving her a rock star look. The oversized cat-eye sunglasses are elegant and sophisticated. We love it!

At the Cannes Lion International Festival of Creativity Paris Hilton looked breath-taking. In a turquoise short sleeve top, a dark blue pencil skirt and black wedges, she looked sophisticated and empowered. She styled it with a big black sun hat and a black purse. Her gold Versace sunglasses in cat-eye style are a dream. 

Megan Thee Stallion

In just a white crop top, jeans and a cap, Megan Thee Stallion shows herself on Instagram. She has excellent taste, constantly posting her iconic fits on Instagram for us to admire. While her outfit is basic, her oversized rectangular sunglasses, on the other hand, are outgoing and cool. They give her a mysterious look, elevating her outfit.

]]> The A-list celebrity, supermodel, actress, fashion icon, designer, influencer and now mom Emily Ratajkowski is turning 30 today, and we couldn’t be more excited. As she juggles astoundingly well between her professions, she never fails to remind us about her political positions, especially how she stands up for human rights and that we should all be feminists. Being an activist herself, both on social media but also participating in women’s marches, she goes against socially constructed taboos like embracing sexuality, and civil rights issues.

She’s made quite the fashion evolution from her 2013 video with Robin Thicke, Blurred Lines, which she admitted having ruined her life. Despite gaining huge popularity from the video, it also made her become the subject of discussion everywhere following her appearance, and she particularly detested how her position as a feminist was questioned rather than being appreciative of her approach to owning her sexuality.

She’s known to be the sex symbol of the decade, and with this look she exudes power and confidence whilst being totally chic.

Her style is very versatile, following the start of her modeling career in 2015 she quickly became one of the most desired models in the world by the biggest brands, walking the catwalks of Versace, Bottega Veneta, Dolce&Gabbana and Miu Miu, just to name a few.

She’s also the founder of her successful brand Inamorata, which means ‘lover’ in Italian: an explosion of 90’s styles and chic, wearable pieces. Not to be forgotten how she’s also a jewel designer, having designed her own engagement ring herself.

From a colorful Versace bliss, to beautiful, patterned dresses, there is nothing she can’t pull-off and her exuberant personality also reflects her eclectic, yet sophisticated style.

Emily cannot be simply referred to as an influencer or socialite: she is a truly contemporary woman, an icon of the time we’re living in, who’s able to reinvent herself throughout the years whilst still being true to herself. The face mask. The new ‘accessory’ we should all be investing in right now. Take your pick, online shops are heaving with them. Or, get creative- making sure you use the government guidelines on how to make a mask.

How to use your masks safely:

1). Before putting on a mask, clean hands with alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water.

2). Cover mouth and nose with mask and make sure there are no gaps between your face and the mask.

3). Avoid touching the mask while using it; if you do, clean your hands with alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water.

4). If your mask is disposable, replace the mask with a new one as soon as it is damp and do not re-use single-use masks.

5). To remove the mask: remove it from behind (do not touch the front of mask); if disposable, discard immediately in a closed bin; clean hands with alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water.

6). Invest in a re-usable mask.

7). If your mask is re-usable always wash your mask at 60 degrees with a powder detergent after use.
