The tour will start in Europe, with the first date being held in Sweden, and then move to Canada before finishing in the US, with the last date being held in New Orleans. UK fans will be thrilled to hear that the tour includes five UK dates meaning they’ll be plenty of opportunities to see Queen Bey live.

The legendary singer first dropped hints for the tour in October when the raffle at the Wearable Art Gala included a unique experience to see her on the Renaissance tour.

The tour will be her first since 2018 when she co-headlined the On the Run II Tour with her husband Jay-Z to support their collaborative album, Everything Is Love, and her first headline tour since 2016 when she toured her previous solo album Lemonade with the Formation World Tour.

Beyoncé returned to the stage for her first complete concert in over two years last month when she performed at a private show in Dubai for journalists and influencers. No new material was played during the show meaning the tour will be the first time songs from Renaissance are heard live.

Renaissance was released on the 29^th July last year and is the star’s seventh studio solo LP and the first instalment in a trilogy of albums. Joyful, packed with escapism, and with a strong danceability factor, it was praised by fans and critics alike as one of the best albums of 2022 and is certified platinum.

Tickets can be found on Beyoncé’s website and will go on sale for the European leg at 9 am on the 2^nd Feb for the UK dates, the 7^th Feb for the Germany, Poland, Sweden and Netherlands dates, and the 10^th Feb for the Belgium and Spain dates.

Queen Bey took to the stage, opening with a cover of Etta James’ ‘At Last’ who Beyoncé portrayed in the 2008 biopic Cadillac Records, in a vibrant yellow gown by Omani designer Rayan Al Sulaimani for Atelier Zuhra. The gown was monochromatic but was broken up by a variety of textures including feathers and Atelier Zuhra’s trademark mosaic appliqué.

For her next look, Beyoncé changed into a rich red jumpsuit with a ballgown-esque train flowing from the waist and long sheer gloves that created a regal ensemble on the music royalty. The look came complete with an array of gold embellishments and a headpiece that resembled the sun, a crown, and a halo all at once. The majestic look was devised by Lebanese designer Nicolas Jebran who also dressed the star for the 2018 Grammy Awards.

Never one to shy away from a statement look, Beyoncé closed the show in a crystal encrusted baby pink minidress by Ukrainian designer Ivan Frolov. Frolov took to Instagram to share the proud moment, captioning the post:

“In my native country, the war that takes the lives of Ukrainians every day, destroys the fates and dreams of hundreds of thousands of people. And currently the only dream that inspires me and adds strength is the dream of Ukraine’s victory. Creating an image for Kyiv was one of my cherished dreams during the pre-war times, but it came true right now, in a time of difficult trials for my country, thanks to the hard and painstaking work of the selfless and creative, professional @frolovheart team, in different parts of the world and in our home @beyonce , under shelling, and sometimes without light.”

The look was intricately detailed and holds its own regardless of the circumstances under which it was made, but when you consider that it was designed and made in a war-torn country during blackouts, the true beauty of this look is emphasised by the hope and resilience that exists behind it.

In addition to her performance looks, Beyoncé took to the red carpet in a custom Dolce & Gabbana gown that placed her at centre stage. No other looks even compared. In a floor-length sparkling and sheer gold gown with a voluptuous train, Bey made the red carpet her own.

The Grammy award-winning singer wrote on Instagram: “My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration. I hope you find joy in this music. I hope it inspires you to release the wiggle. And to feel as unique, strong, and sexy as you are.”

The diverse album art shot by Mason Poole and styled by Marni Senofonte and KJ Moody, Beyoncé’s personal stylist, the artist dons Mugler, Schiaparelli, Gucci, Alaïa and Philipp Plein, among other designers proved that Beyoncé really is that girl as she served high-fashion looks fit for a queen. From heavenly get-ups to dangerously sexy fits, here are the top flawless looks that have us crazy in love.

For the album cover, Beyoncé looked like an alien superstar as she slayed on a glistening silver horse wearing barely-there custom Nusi Quero body armour along with long locks and a dark eye look.

Shining bright under a disco ball, the pop icon wore a Gucci Love Parade gown by creative director Alessandro Michele with Wolford’s Individual 10 Stay Ups tights and metallic silver lips.

Beyoncé brought the bold energy in this custom Maison Alaia strapless black knit catsuit with statement fluffy boots.

Looking heavenly in a halo, Queen Bey posed in a golden bodysuit and matching halo by Melissa Simon-Hartman paired with thigh-high Philipp Plein 24k gold boots and a gold statement lip.

Channelling another pop icon Madonna’s cone bra, Beyoncé wore a Haute Couture Schiaparelli black leather moulded bustier along with stockings and statement earrings.

Looking licensed to kill in custom Mugler, Beyoncé wore a silver metal bustier shining under a black gathered dress with silver cuffs, black Jimmy Choo Anouk pointed-toe pumps and a killer beehive.

In this psychedelic shot, Beyoncé posed in a black and white swirl bodysuit with matching earrings, leather gloves and sunglasses.

With this being the first of a three-act project, we can’t wait to see more from Queen Bey…

Not to mention Queen Bey as being the world’s biggest superstar, but she has acted as a beacon of light and hope in supporting and empowering the black community. So it was no surprise that when she announced a new visual album titled Black Is King it was met with incredible excitement from fans across the internet. Beyoncé stated in an Instagram post the visual album was originally filmed as a companion piece to The Lion King: The Gift soundtrack and is meant to “celebrate the breadth and beauty of Black ancestry”.

Recently the official trailer was revealed by Disney+ (where it will be exclusively streaming) and it looks nothing short of stunning. The trailer also features cameos from the likes of Kelly Rowland, Jay-Z, Naomi Campbell and even Pharrell Williams. Although not much is known about the plot it was revealed in a press release that Black Is King will focus on a “tale about a young king’s transcendent journey through betrayal, love and self-identity”. It’s no doubt that this release will have a huge cultural impact given its relevancy to the racial injustice, unfortunately, happening all over the world right now.

In Addition, Beyoncé has even made sure that Black Is King will be available to stream in most countries within the continent of Africa by teaming up with MultiChoice Group’s M-Net and Canal+ Afrique. Beyoncé is no stranger to the medium of visual albums given that her 2016 masterpiece Lemonade was also premiered as a visual album on HBO. Lemonade was a huge stepping-stone in her career as it was one of the first times she openly expressed her political views and she hasn’t turned back since.

Black Is King will be arriving globally to stream via Disney+ on July 31st and is set to be one of the most important pieces of media released this year, created by one of the world’s biggest superstars.

Autumn Winter ’18 is tipped to be a fashion frenzy and Vogue has set us off on the right foot. With the covers of both American Vogue and British Vogue having been released last week, social media has gone into a frenzy over Queen Bey and the one and only Bad Gal hitting up the respective covers.

The September Issue of Vogue is arguably the most influential in the fashion calendar: september signalling the start of the fashion season and showcasing all the forthcoming collections and trends. So these ‘fronts’ to mainstream fashion signal tremendous progress, inclusion and acknowledgment to women of colour the world over.

Not only was Beyoncé chosen to star on the cover of American Vogue, she was given full unprecedented control. From the clothing to the layout of the cover, Queen Bey could be exactly what she wanted. As the first African American to be featured on the cover of the September Issue, it was fitting that Beyoncé chose an African American photographer to shoot it.

At just a tender 23 years of age, Tyler Mitchell is the first black photographer to shoot the September cover, as well as one of the youngest. His work focuses on the intersection of youth culture and racical identity, something Beyoncé is not far from herself.

Bey expressed the importance of working with young artists of colour allowing creative doors to open and the world to see their potential. Chatting to Vogue Beyoncé enlightened us that in this day and age, it’s so important for people all over the world to see people who look like themselves in positions of power, in books, and in films. To not feel intimidated or limited by the colour of their skin. This can be seen in her music and films.

And not forgetting this side of the pond, Rhianna took a different approach to British Vogue, staying in keeping with the flower headdress theme. Who knew flowers could look so good?

Bringing her Fenty Beauty to the shoot, the undisputed BadGal brought ombre lips and skinny brows back from the dead and we’re totally in love with her look.
