Ortega has since gained a major following on her social media accounts and has shot into the spotlight as the young actor behind the amazing portrayal of the eponymous character. Not only has she been delighting viewers on talk shows and red carpets with her personality but also her incredible looks. Seen on brand with her most recent character’s fashion choices, she is giving us the most incredible style inspiration which we did not know we needed. So, we are going to save you the trouble of breaking down some of her recent looks.

Style Check

Jenna wears a well-tailored houndstooth checked three-piece suit for her shoot to accompany her New York Times interview. Waist coats made their revival this year and as our new ‘It Girl’ sports one, we can only assume they will continue to gain in popularity. A very sexy, androgynous look for Jenna here and we are loving it. It makes us ask, will suits ever go out? After these pictures, it is hard to imagine that day ever coming.

A green queen in our presence with this look and we are indeed green with envy over this fit. This is a preppy fit for Jenna and we think the polo and checked skirt combo are a good look. It is simple and yet a style which has remained relevant since its debut. The American college aesthetic of this look gives of a chic look and we of course love the green colour choice. 

Drop Dead Gorgeous

The Versace dress we can’t get enough of. It is classic, it is trending and it is of course, a Wednesday inspired piece. Sinisterly beautiful and giving us chills. Veils are doing the rounds and Jenna Ortega is certainly keeping them in the style spotlight. 

Back To Black

Another head-to-toe black outfit. A Dion Lee gown for Jimmy Kimmel’s talk show, shows Ortega in a mature and incredibly gorgeous light. The actor, once again, shows her love for black lace and we are all over this dress. The high set of open-toed black stilettos adds to the classic and feminine aesthetic Ortega is pulling off so very elegantly. 

It is black, it is lace, it is Jenna Ortega style. A midi cut, low v-neck, fitting dress is a simply stunning choice. Paired with the high chunky black heels, it is another iconic look for Jenna. The slim silhouette of the dress and strappy shoulders creates a subtle sexiness which is hard to imitate. 

Moving from embroidered lace to sheer, the style is still very much on brand for her. An asymmetrical fitting gown reveals one shoulder and has us on board with this style. Yet again, the Wednesday actorgives off a chic and polished look in this garment and we can’t think of a better fit.

Pinky Promise

Earlier this year we saw Jenna in a very different look to what her recent aesthetic has been capturing. A full wave of pink was worn by Ortega for the Met Gala held back in May. The colour which dominated the year and will still linger through 2023 as no one is quite ready to move on from this bright, eye-catching hue. Use Jenna Ortega’s Gala outfit as your inspo as you engross in pink. Go full outfit or wear pops of pink to draw attention your way.

This look Jenna wears for a shoot with High Snobiety is giving us a different side to the Wednesday fashion we have been obsessing over. Don’t worry we are still obsessing over this and love the mix of styles we are starting to see the actress in. The Diesel skirt which has had us all hooked, paired with the biker-style jacket is a very cool look for Jenna and we think can definitely play a part in evolving her style over the coming season.

Singer-songwriter FKA Twigs bought boldness and drama to her look at the British Fashion Awards as she rocked a charcoal shimmering dress matched with quirky facial makeup and beautiful silver accessories in her hair. The fashionista had a slicked-back bun with beautiful silver jewellery embroidered within her hair. Her natural eyes and skin allowed her dramatic facial makeup of patterns on her forehead and nose to demand attention. The eye-catching look is bold and unique and is truly mesmerising as it evokes a dramatic and empowering image that the singer rocks so well. To create this show-stopping look, eyeshadow can be used to recreate the unique patterns that the songwriter styled across her face. To add a festive spin to the look, the Victoria Beckham Lid Lustre eyeshadow which has a sparkly tone to it can dress this look up and make it more dazzling.

Jessica Wang styled an eye-catching combo by Marc Jacobs and truly demanded attention with her matching eyeshadows that accompanied the dress and the sexy nude pink lips that accompanied her look so well. The beauty had a fierce but thin eyeliner that accompanied her popping eyeshadow which both added drama to her look but also a fun disco aesthetic with the bright pop of colour. Once again, she championed natural dewy skin and minimal contouring and blush which truly allowed her eyes to do the talking. The subtle gloss to the lips allowed them to look plump and luscious and made her look sexy but fun and light.

Simone Ashley

Lastly, the stunning Simone Ashley with her shimmering goddess-style look and wet sexy hair is one that demanded the attention of the masses. The actress rocked a shimmery natural lip accompanied by silver eyeshadow that complimented her figure-hugging dress so well. Her wet-looking hair added an aspect of effortless sexiness to the look and her natural make-up once again allowed the eyes and the dress to do the talking. Her wet hair aesthetic can be easily replicated by using a styling gel or a glossing spray to create the wet look that she styles so effortlessly. She shimmered and glowed with this makeup look and her natural fluffy brows provided a very au natural and effortless make-up look for the actress.

]]> Yesterday welcomed the long anticipated 2022 Fashion Awards, presented by Diet Coke. Prize winners included Valentino’s creative designer Pierpaolo Piccioli for designer of the year, Bella Hadid for model of the year, and creative director and stylist Katie Grand took home the Isobella Blow award. Sinead Burke, Raf Simons and Alessandro Michele, were among the 15 figures honoured as leaders of change this year in the fashion industry.

As the glamorous attendees took stage on the red carpet to get their photographs taken this was the perfect time for us to decide our favourite looks of the night.

Kristen McMenamy

There is no guessing as to why Pierpaolo Piccioli received the designer of the year award after seeing the Valentino looks at last nights red carpet. The old myth of red and pink clashing was certainly not true last night as Valentino’s iconic colour of the year dressed Kristen McMenamy head-to-toe as she walked along the red carpet.

Florence Pugh

Yet another win for designer of the year as Florence Pugh was certainly a sight to see at the awards. Trains were very popular this year and we might go so far as to say this was our favourite. The look was all tied in with her slicked back hair and matching red lips.

Winnie Harlow

A fabulous look from Harlow in Iris Van Herpen Couture last night. Sheer has been trending and last night showed us it very much still is. Alongside Winnie, celebs such as Rita Ora and Lila Moss also graced the carpet in sheer gowns.

Jourdan Dunn

Dunn wears a ruffled train and sheer bodice gown from Stephane Rolland. The gown, part of his haut couture FW 22 collection is a symbol of the current fashion.

Simone Ashley

Simone Ashley looks radiant in a beautiful, sparkling 16 Arlington gown. Hoods were a frequent sight at the awards and we can see why. Predicted as a popular hairstyle for SS 23, Simone is ahead of the game with the wet hair look.

Yasmin Finney

Yasmin Finney wowed in a gorgeous Harris Reed design. The exaggerated shoulder is bigger than ever and we love it. The figure-hugging silhouette and sleek black velvet design of the dress makes Finney a picture of elegance.

Quannah Chasinghorse

A sparkling jumpsuit from Stella McCartney covered Quannah head-to-toe in sequins. Super seasonal and drop dead gorgeous. A five-star fit.

Jodie Turner Smith

Jodie Turner Smith played host for the awards and she also looked incredible doing so. Her Gucci gown was unmissable in its lime green toned and embellished sheer fabric.

Paloma Elsesser

Paloma Elsesser wore a gorgeous black corseted gown created by Dilara Findikoglu. Once again, sheer fabrics have been plastered all over the red carpet this year, but we are not complaining. 

Adut Akech

A stunning look from Adut. Keeping it simple in the best ways possible, the two-piece from Nensi Dojaka is everything that the fashion awards is about.

FKA Twigs

This year we are definitely train spotting. A high fashion look worn by FKA Twigs from Rick Owens and Moncler. Key take aways are miniature ruffles, trains and puffer styled jackets.

Elsa Hosk

Dressed in a Miu Miu design for Flannels, this double belted two-piece is spectacular. A dazzling little number we will be sure to remember.

Maya Jama

Incredible as always, Maya Jama delights in a black Sabina Bilenko Couture gown.Featuring a forward slit in the skirt, pulled in waistline and angled hat, we love Maya’s style for the red carpet.

Raye

For Raye’s appearance last night, she turned heads in a custom Bradley Sharpe. We love it all, the gloves, the velvet, the shoulders. Very sleek and very elegant. The touch of feathered lashes and slick high bun gives this look a Black Swan essence that is high fashion to the core.

Irina Shayk

Shayk wears a full-length sequined sustainable H&M gown. The gown features as one of H&M’s innovative metaverse collection pieces and we can’t wait to see the rest.

Christine Quinn

The Selling Sunset star, Christine Quinn, wore a sensational gothic maxi gown. Paired with long black sheer gloves and a scarf which trailed behind her, we fell in love with this look.

Kendall wears a super cool blue print for her outfit in this photo, with the print itself evoking vibes of the ocean due to its cool blue colour palette which couldn’t be more fitting for the season. The print on the dress is eye-catching without being overbearing, and because the mini dress is the only clothing being worn there’s no clashing either.

Aureta

It’s impossible to go wrong with monochrome of any kind, and that extends to print! Black and white is an eternally stylish colour combo and this print especially takes that stylish and classy nature to a whole new level. The houndstooth styled print is edgy and cool and, combined with the striking lightning styled bolts on top, brings a unique vibe that is perfect for skiing down the slopes.

Dua Lipa

Prints aren’t just for up top, prints on trousers and jeans can be equally as striking and attention grabbing. Dua Lipa rocks a pair of baggy printed trousers from JW Anderson with the brand’s name plastered across the legs, complete with cool orange prints that add contrasting colour against the blue of the trousers.

Lori Harvey

This is where things get really adventurous. Not content with wearing one printed garment, Lori Harvey wore a matching printed suit consisting of a black blazer with white patches and a matching pair of trousers with the same print. A matching printed outfit is a definite way to step things up a gear without running the risk of clashing or looking too much.

Karla J

Once again proving that printed trousers can be just as commanding as a printed top. Karla J wears a pair of psychedelic print trousers, which aren’t too overbearing thanks to the neutral colour palette of white and brown which brings the garment back down to earth. This is also helped by the matching brown top showing that matching a specific colour of a print with another garment can unify an outfit wonderfully.

Parisa

The printed button-down shirt is a classic and a staple, and for good reason. This version worn by Parisa features the classic leopard print in a green and black hue which makes for a slightly more unique take on the print. Animal prints are some of the best prints to start experimenting with as they so often can match with anything without much effort needed. They also just look uber cool, which is really the only thing that matters!

Nicki Minaj

Rocking some Marc Jacobs leisurewear, Nicki Minaj shows that hoodies and sweatpants can get in on the print action too. Streetwear often offers up some of the craziest and most unique prints in the fashion world, and this print Nicki is wearing could definitely be seen as being a louder, riskier print but, it works, thanks to the matching sweatpants and that always classic monochrome colour palette. Definitely big, definitely bold, definitely brilliant.

]]> The biggest night in the fashion calendar took place last night, yes, the Met Gala finally returned for its annual outing and the outfits this year did not disappoint! The theme for this year’s event was In America: An Anthology of Fashion so there was a wide display of American fashion history on show, ranging from famed brands, to designers, and to iconic individual outfits too. There are a LOT of looks to get through so without further ado here are the greatest looks of the night!

Natasha Poonawalla

For her take on the theme, Natasha put the spotlight on the traditional Indian garment of the sari to bring some multi-culturalism to the evening. The sari itself was a wonderful bronze colour and adorned with multiple embellishments for some added sparkle. Also attached was a bronze plate with various twists and curls which added some theatrics, and a healthy dose of matching bronze jewellery for a sophisticated finishing touch.

Kylie Jenner

Here comes the bride! Kylie took the opportunity to create her own special day for the event, showing up in a billowing, pristine white bridal gown as a tribute to the late Virgil Abloh. The garment had a unique spin though, with a sportswear styled approach on the torso of the dress which was combined with a not-so-traditional bridal veil fitted to… a backwards snapback. Welcome to the weddings of the future.

Nicki Minaj

Nicki Minaj went in the opposite direction for her outfit, going for an all-black look with a mysterious edge. Minaj wore some skin-tight leather trousers, a feathered black corset with an attached cape, and fitted herself with multiple black jewels across the top of her body. She, like Kylie, also opted for a cap as part of her outfit, combining the traditional theatricality of the Met with loungewear casuals perfectly.

Kaia Gerber

Kaia Gerber attended the event wearing a metallic Alexander McQueen dress and some stunning jewellery courtesy of Kwiat Diamonds. This is a look that perfectly captures ‘gilded glamour’ whilst allowing Kaia to put her own unique spin on it!

Hailey Bieber

Wearing a Saint Laurent dress, Hailey Bieber rocked a glamorously vintage look last night in shining white and fluffy accents. The dress cut a slim silhouette down Bieber’s figure and was fitted with a sleek cape adorned with some dramatic fur, which Hailey took great pleasure in swooshing about. But honestly, wouldn’t we all?

Olivia Rodrigo

Olivia Rodrigo embraced a mystical, fairy-tale theme for outfit, looking like a fairy on her way to grant some mystical powers to the rest of the attendees. Her lavender dress was fitted with sequins which gave it plenty of sparkle which helped to add to that mystical feel and she also wore a pair of slightly lighter opera gloves. For a finishing touch, the singer also wore a pair of lavender butterflies in her hair, embracing mother nature just as we all should.

Lizzo

Wearing Thom Browne, Lizzo looked incredibly gothic last night and brought some great theatrical drama to the red carpet. The huge velvet gown was embroidered with stunning rose prints running across the entirety of the garment and giving it a golden glow fit for a royal. Also noteworthy were Lizzo’s nails which were dramatically long and gave off serious Maleficent vibes.

Gigi Hadid

Take a puffer jacket, size it up, and do that ten times more. Gigi wore perhaps the most oversized puffer jacket the world has ever seen last night, bringing some serious Y2K energy to the red carpet and some serious colour too, with the jacket being a glorious ruby red colour which heightened the outfit and gave it some serious glamour. Gigi also wore a skintight corset underneath, adding some sensuality to the look whilst keeping  in theme.

Bella Hadid

Bella embraced a fully gothic style for her look of the night, wearing a custom corset and lace leggings with a chiffon skirt and chiffon shawl, lace gloves and leather sandals, all courtesy of Burberry. The outfit had an 80s gothic vibe to it and definitely could have fit into a music video from the decade, no problem.

Kendall Jenner

Taking Cinderella in a darker direction, Kendall Jenner wore a stunning black gown made by Prada and looked suitably dramatic. The gown was paired with a sheer top which added some slight Y2K vibes to the outfit, giving it a more modern edge whilst still looking undeniably classic.

Simone Ashley

Collaborating with Moschino, Simone Ashley wore a dramatic black-satin opera coat with humongous sleeves and combined it with a golden embroidered bustier top which added some texture to the look. The outfit was incredibly sophisticated and presented a unique look amongst the many we saw last night.

Rosalia

Rosalia embraced the maximalism last night, wearing a custom Givenchy gown with an incredibly detailed and embroidered corset and a huge ruffled gown which, combined, offered a seriously vintage vibe from decades past. The singer kept some modern elements in though, with some huge silver earrings and black, Matrix styled shades giving the outfit a distinct edge.

Blake Lively

Undoubtedly one of the most stunning looks of the night, Blake Lively wore a twisted Versace gown that started with a copper coloured gradient up top and gradually morphed into a cool ice blue further down the dress, as a reference to the way the Statue of Liberty has changed colour overtime. The hypnotic look was inspired by New York City architecture, capturing the nights theme in the best way.

Kim K wore a literal piece of fashion history last night, wearing the dress worn by the late Marilyn Monroe when she sang Happy Birthday to former president John F. Kennedy. The dress looks just as stunning today as it did then, proving just how timeless and iconic it is, and proving how long-lasting fashion has the power to be.

Billie Eilish

Billie wore a dress with a unique colour palette last night, evoking themes of classical artwork with the cool pastels and neutrals. The dress had green lace sleeves which ere embroidered with delicate flowers along the arm, and the corset of the dress was fitted with a huge lavender flower which was a nice finishing touch.

Jodie Turner-Smith

Jodie Turner-Smith collaborated with Gucci and wore a crystal chain bra which led into a fringed skirt with pleated chiffon details. The look was one of the more delicate of the night and didn’t attempt to do anything big or grand, which is exactly what worked in its favour. Further proof that there is timeless beauty in simplicity.

Nicola Coughlan

Nicola embraced the light and the dark as part of her outfit, wearing equal parts black and pink. The always pleasing colour palette was part of a grand dress with huge shoulders and a billowing cape. The dress was also fitted with multiple pink stems poking out across the outfit, giving it a unique sense of definition and personality.

Chloe Bailey

Definitely one of the more unique looks of the night, Chloe was dressed in head-to-toe gold in a dress with a simple yet at the same time incredibly unique cut which gave it a personality of its own. Chloe also wore a huge butterfly necklace around her neck, giving the outfit some serious theatrics whilst still remaining classy and cool.

Genesis Suero

Influencer Genesis Suero looked like she stepped out of a classical fairytale last night in a golden and silver dress fitted with an unbelievable amount of embellishments. The outfit was classical in nearly every sense and is another example of a timeless style that will never fall out of favour.

Silk is a material that screams spring with its lightweight and flowy nature making it perfect for a day with a slight breeze to add some gracious movement to an outfit. Because silk is often so lightweight it’s perfect for wearing on warmer days as it won’t overheat the wearer but will still keep them warm if temperatures suddenly drop. Pastels are the best colours to accompany some silk too as they have a natural spring aura about them and add some nice, gentle colour without being too loud or too bold.

The boxy blazer is another great take on the traditional piece that gives it some more personality whilst still keeping its refined feel.
