]]> We have compiled a lookbook of our favourite beauty looks from the past week that we are loving and wanted to pass them on to you guys, if you’re looking for some inspiration. Whether you want a super glammed look or something a little more minimal and chicer, there is something here that is to your liking.  

Sita Abellan & Adowa Aboah 

Want drama? This one’s for you. Sita and Adwoa were bringing all the sass and drama with their make-up look this week that included bold winged eyeliner.  

Adwoa styled her eyeliner using products by Rimmel London to create this bold winged eyeliner look going along her upper lash line and her lower lash line, tying the entire eye together as one. She uses the Wonder Ink Eyeliner by Rimmel London to create this look and we think it is gorgeous! She keeps her base makeup light with a subtle blusher on her cheeks and natural lips with a hint of brown lip liner. We love that she has kept her freckles on show, showing off her natural beauty.  

Sita’s make-up has a lovely matte base with warm contouring and nude lips which allowed her bold striking eyeliner to do all the talking. This eyeliner looks almost like a dragon wing with small little wings coming off the main big one as well as a second under eyeliner that acts as a double eyeliner look. Her striking blue punk hair however steals the show, as it adds an element of quirky street style to a very glamorous attire.  

For this eyeliner look we think that liquid eyeliner would be best to make sure that you get that very high-pigmented eyeliner appearance. The Elf Cosmetics Expert Liquid Liner is a lovely liquid eyeliner that would be perfect for this look to add pigment. If you prefer an eyeliner pen instead of a brush, we recommend the Charlotte Tilbury Feline Flick Panther Eyeliner Pen. Using an eyeliner pen allows your hand more freedom when drawing on your eyeliner and can sometimes be less messy than using a liquid brush eyeliner. If you wanted to change this look slightly and make it more of a smokey grunge look, we recommend using eyeshadow on top of the liquid eyeliner to buff out the wings and make them appear smokey.  

If you’re like us and are obsessed with Sita’s blue hair but aren’t bold enough yet to take the leap and dye your hair permanently blue, we recommend using a temporary blue spray to give your hair that blue glow while also playing it safe in the long run. Superdrug does a blue hairspray that is temporary and would be ideal when rocking a look like this. 

Sarah Feingold 

Sucker for a soft glam? So are we! Our next look by Sarah is the epitome of soft warm glam. Sarah has minimal makeup on her eyes, but we notice a warm bronze eyeshadow alongside rosy lips that have a brown and orange undertone. Her base makeup is light and dewy with subtle blemishes of blush on her cheeks. Her eyebrows are left natural which allows her luscious lips to be the showcase.  

This look is all about glossy lips, light dewy skin, and soft makeup on the eyes. The trick to these luscious lips is to have a darker shade of lip liner to your nude lipstick on top of super glossy lip gloss. Wearing a darker lip liner will allow your lips to appear bigger and more defined. We recommend using the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Foxy Brown as your lip liner, or the Wonder Gel Long-Wear Lip Liner in shade Foxy for this look. For the lip base, we think the Beauty Pie lipstick in Cowboy Nude would be a lovely lipstick to wear as a base for this look. For the final part of this lip combination, we think that the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer would be the perfect lip gloss. This lip gloss is super glossy and has a shimmery shine to it while also having a brown undertone tint which will help tie in the brown lip liner that we have used.  

For Sarah’s eyes, you want to have minimal eye makeup so a nice light bronze eyeshadow, potentially a nude light brown or orange would be perfect to brush on your eyes. Beauty Bay has a nude matte palette that includes 9 colours, all with lovely warm undertones.   

Halsey  

Halsey looked smoking in her recent makeup look which saw her styling a small, winged eyeliner and a potent red lipstick. She has a lovely matte based on her face makeup with a shimmery highlighter. This makeup look gives retro 50s rebel make-up and is a lovely, glammed twist on the grunge makeup aesthetic. She has used her own products to create this masterpiece, so we recommend using the About-Face eyeliner and Paint It Matte Lip Colour in shade Fireside for this look.  

Halsey also does an About-Face stick highlighter which is a creamy natural luminesce highlighter that will glide onto your skin smoothly and give you a lightweight shimmer.  

This look is super-hot, and we will be sure to be trying it out in the coming weeks. 

Bella Hadid  

Bella Hadid looks gorgeous in her makeup look curated to showcase her new beauty partnership that she has entered into with none other than Charlotte Tilbury.  

She boasts that Charlotte Tilbury’s Lip Cheat Liner and her Flawless Filter never leave her purse, so she is ecstatic that this beauty partnership has finally come to fruition. Her look resembles an angelic being with the light pink lip combo and natural eyes, alongside dewy shimmery skin. She looks irresistible.  

For this look, we would recommend using the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter for your base alongside Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Glow shimmering highlighter. We also think that Charlotte Tilbury Diamonds Lipstick in the shade Pillow Talk is a lovely match to the pink lipstick that Bella Hadid is styling in her recent makeup look.  

We absolutely love this makeup look and are big fans of any Charlotte Tilbury products so can’t wait to recreate a look similar to the one Bella is styling so effortlessly.  

Becky G & Dove Cameron 

Becky G and Dove Cameron both styled a lovely grunge makeup look that included dark eyes and nude lips.  

Becky G’s look is more precise and glammed as she wears liquid eyeliner alongside false lashes and creamy base make-up to create this glamorous look. She has used a lovely creamy brown lip liner that has a similar tone to her contour which helps tie the look together. We recommend using the Beauty Pie Wonder Gel Long Wear Lip Liner in Vanilla Nude to recreate this look. We think that the Hoola Bronzer is a similar shade to this lip liner and therefore would tie in the two pieces together nicely. 

Dove Cameron’s look is similar to Becky G’s in the sense that it is a powerful dark eye with a nude lip however, her eyes are smokey and grunge and her lips have a more ‘bitten’ aesthetic. She was very minimal base makeup however we have noticed a subtle highlighter on her upper cheekbones and on the tip of her nose. We think that a shimmery black eye shadow would be ideal for this look to create that smoky aesthetic so, therefore, the Dior Mono Couleur Couture eyeshadow would be perfect to use. For her nude lips, we think that the Lip Lustre in shade Pillow Talk by Charlotte Tilbury would be the perfect nude lip gloss to wear with this look.  

Both these girls are styling gorgeous looks that are similar but different in their own way. Therefore, whether you like a smokey rugged look or softer glam both looks can help give you some inspiration for your next dark eye and nude lip makeup combo.

]]> As summer well and truly arrives, our favourite musicians are stepping up their game to ensure they are a part of the soundtrack to our summer. From triumphant Spanish Pop to film soundtracks and big Rap comebacks, May has offered us some great music, and we are here to give you the rundown of all the latest songs you need in your summer playlist; 

Doja Cat – Vegas

This month, we got our first glimpse into what to expect from the upcoming ELVIS film. Once again showing us just how versatile she is, Doja teamed up with Shonka to sample ‘Hound Dog’, creating a modern take on a classic Elvis track. We have had ‘Vegas’ on repeat the past couple of weeks!

Alex Rzyan – Hot Headed

‘Hot Headed’ is the track that is validating all our impulsive feelings throughout Mercury retrograde, with lyricism based on how being quick-tempered can affect your relationship. Although the lyrics are feisty as ever, the accompaniment of ‘Hot Headed’ is subtle and laid-back, featuring smooth guitar lines and a downtempo shuffled drum pattern.

Becky G – Bailé Con Mi Ex

Bailé Con Mi Ex is the latest single from Becky’s second album ‘Esquemas’, which finally dropped last Friday, 13th May. The track radiates delightful energy bursting with disco-pop characteristics, as Becky sings lyrics on the subject of reconnecting with an ex. The album itself is pretty exciting too, as Becky stands in her spotlight, shining in both collaborations and solo tracks.

Post Malone, Roddy Rich – Cooped Up 

Nothing says summer quite like a Post Malone track, and we were so excited to see that he is finally back on the music scene! ‘Cooped Up’ takes us on Post’s journey of letting go of the pandemic blues that we all relate to, and the feelings of being stuck. The track comes as the first release of his upcoming album, coming June 3rd and will feature collaborations with the likes of Doja Cat and Kid Laroi. 

Fivio Foreign, Chloe, KayCyy – Hello 

Teaming up to deliver a smooth and catchy rap track this month were Fivio Foreign, Chloe and KayCyy. The collaboration comes from Fivio’s latest album ‘B.I.B.L.E’ which was released earlier this year in April. The trio came together for an energetic and attitude driven video in a typical drill setting, as they perform romantic lyrics. 

Madeline the Person – MEAN!

Currently blowing up on Tiktok as a result of the emotional and relatable lyrics on the subject of those who use ‘honesty’ as a way to hurt your feelings, this song is one of the most vulnerable and beautiful tracks out at the minute. Complete with heavenly harmonies, relaxed acoustic guitar motifs and an inventive melody, this needs to be in your playlist!

Jack Harlow – Dua Lipa

One of the current biggest heartthrobs around, Jack Harlow, has just released his latest album ‘Come Home The Kids Miss You’. Following high anticipation and many viral moments, Harlow’s album has shot to number 3 on the Billboard charts, proving he is a force to be reckoned with. Aside from the chart-topper ‘First Class’, the track on everyone’s lips is ‘Dua Lipa’, in which Jack goes on to say “Dua Lipa, I’m trying to do more with her than do a feature”… Talk about being bold!

A$AP Rocky- D.M.B.

Proving nothing is coming between him and his baby mama, Rihanna, A$AP Rocky broke the internet earlier this month with the video for his latest track ‘D.M.B.’. Featuring different setups of him and Riri, whether they are partying or hustling, the couple takes us on a journey that only proves more so to the world that they are stronger than ever. The song itself has all the attitude you would expect from an A$AP track whilst coming across as a love letter to Rihanna, with an apparent line being “She got bank accounts too, with big amounts, shit you couldn’t count”. 

Pip Millett – Downright

We can always rely on Pip Millett to hit us right in the feels, and this month was no exception. ‘Downright’ is based on Pip’s struggle with depression, brought to life through a Lo-Fi style beat that crescendos into a potent chorus in which Pip sings “I know you still need me when I’m down. Down is just downright, Get the fuck out of my head”. 

Camila Cabello, Maria Becerra – Hasta Los Dientes 

Following the release of Camila’s latest triumphant album ‘Familia’, she has treated us to one of the most vibrant and fun videos we have seen from her. ‘Hasta Los Dientes’ is a celebration of great pop music, sung in Spanish by both Camila and collaborator Maria Becerra. The duo take on a plethora of vivid wigs, extravagant outfits and infectious choreography; you need to watch this! 

Kendrick Lamar – The Heart Part 5

You can’t deny the buzz surrounding Kendrick Lamar right now, as his long-awaited album ‘Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers’ dropped last week. To get us hyped for the album, Kendrick dropped ‘The Heart Part 5’, a release pattern he has used since the early stages of his career, as a means to share the mindset he is currently in. The track sees Lamar seamlessly blend live instruments and string sections with his classic staccato flow, as he raps heartfelt lyrics on the subject of what it means to him to be an influential figure, creating positive change. The video sees Kendrick transform into multiple culturally influential black figures, relating directly to the lyrics of the song.

PinkPantheress, WILLOW – Where you are

‘Where you are’ is a track that was teased on Tiktok for weeks, creating an unmistakable buzz and anticipation for its official release as you flicked through your FYP page. It’s undeniable that the rise of bedroom artist PinkPantheress has been crazy to watch, and uniting with an artist as highly-acclaimed as WILLOW is touching on new territory whilst creating the classic PinkPantheress sound we have grown to love. 

Bambi Bains – Mistake

Merging vulnerability with an infectious summertime soundscape gives you the latest single from Bambi Bains. If you’re entering summer newly single, this could be your go-to tune, as Bains sings lyrics straight from the heart that we can all relate to; “going to dance you off my mind until I feel alright”. 

Megan Thee Stallion – Plan B

Meg took her Coachella crowd by surprise with this track, performing it on weekend 1 before ‘Plan B’s’ official release. Quickly, videos shared from the festival gained traction, with fans praising Meg’s old school Hip-hop style flow. Of course, her flow may be slightly different, but her hot girl persona stays intact throughout, giving us all a slice of much-needed confidence. 

Becky G – NO MIENTEN

Coinciding with the announcement of Becky’s third studio album ‘Esquemas’, ‘NO MIENTEN’ dropped, getting us all excited for the record’s release date on May 13th. ‘NO MIENTEN’ is equal parts seductive as it is contagious, sending a fiery electronic dance rhythm to us just in time for summer. With this coming as the fourth electrifying single release from her upcoming album, we are in for a treat! 

KAROL G – PROVENZA

Another track that came to surprise us this month, ‘PROVENZA’, shows us a side of KAROL G that we don’t often see. We have become accustomed to high energy, powerful tracks, such as ‘MAMIII’ and ‘Tusa’, however ‘PROVENZA’ offers us something completely different. ‘PROVENZA’ is delivered as a gentle, carefree and Latin-kissed track, which is further mirrored by the picturesque music video, which features women of all different body types embracing themselves and nature in a unique spin on empowerment.  

Erica Banks – Pop Out

Delivering unapologetic energy in its purest form this month is Erica Banks, proving she has more up her sleeve to follow her viral hit ‘Buss It’. Complete with a sassy and assertive video, this could be the anthem to soundtrack your summer.

Justine Skye – What A Lie

Serving glamour, pristine vocals and honesty, Justine Skye has officially entered her new era. With lyricism surrounding the topic of a partner’s unloyalty surfacing, this track offers relatability whilst also showing the strength that can come from a breakup. Justine’s vocal performance is mirrored with delicate accompaniment, really letting her voice shine. 

DreamDoll, French Montana – Ice Cream Dream

With old school flows and production taking centre stage, this is a track perfect for any Hip-Hop lover. Linking up with French Montana further encapsulated the old school vibe DreamDoll was going for, as the pair match their flows and lyrical matters to create a vibrant synergy.  

Blessing – The girl next door

One of the most promising talents emerging right now, Blessing, released her EP ‘the girl next door’, and we’ve been loving her unique sound. Our favourite track, Freak, tells the story of rising above the judgement of others, as Blessing projects “guess time don’t close old wounds”.

Anitta – Versions of Me

When talking about the top releases this month, we had to mention Anitta’s latest album ‘Versions of Me’. Bursting with huge hits such as, ‘Envolver’, ‘Boys Don’t Cry’, ‘Faking Love’ and ‘Me Gusta’, this is an album with something for everyone to enjoy. From collabs with the likes of Saweetie and Cardi B, this ambitious album seamlessly blends between powered pop tracks, rap features, R&B and reggaeton. Anitta yet again proves why she is the artist on everyone’s lips right now.

BIA, J.Cole – London

We didn’t expect to hear BIA shouting out Shoreditch this April, but we were pleasantly surprised with the lyricism of her latest collaboration with Rap legend J.Cole. From synchronised flows, tongue n cheek lines and an infectious video that perfectly encapsulates the energy of London, this collaboration delivered everything we could have hoped for.  

Nicki Minaj, Fivio Foreign – We Go Up

Although this track dropped at the end of March, the video didn’t officially drop till April 19th, and we had to include it! Currently used by over 530 thousand TikTok users, Nicki’s unapologetic and sassy lyrics are proving to be some of her most popular in a while. The duo devour the song’s drill beat and super-compressed production, which comes as no surprise. The video further reinforces the vibrant energy of this collaboration, with Nicki rocking signature pink wigs and a whole wardrobe of extravagant styles, as the pair’s chemistry does the talking whilst they pull up in a pink Lamborghini, in true Minaj style.
