If we weren’t already excited enough to try this look, TikTok has created a ‘Pam Makeup’ filter, which has quickly become a huge trend on the app, with the filter being used over 1.3 million times in the past few weeks!

With the likes of Alexa Demie and Abby Roberts being advocates for the 90’s brow, what’s stopping us from giving it a go? Say goodbye to grown out fluffy brows and hello to super skinny brows, as they aren’t going anywhere!

Everyone is watching ‘Pam and Tommy‘ right now, and is giving viewers that nostalgic 90’s feeling. From the hair, the clothes, the makeup; everything about Lily James’ transformation is giving us quintessential Pam, and it’s bringing back the popular trends, starting with the thin brows!

Having a super thin arched brow was a must have makeup staple in the 90’s and early 2000’s, and Pamela was one of the leaders of this trend. In light of the new show, it’s making viewers reconsider their natural grown out brows and pick up those tweezers to give it a go. Alongside Pamela Anderson, a more recent skinny brow culprit is Alexa Demie. The euphoria star has been rocking a thin arched brow on the daily, paired with her new cropped cut, the two together are a perfect combination giving us that 90’s feeling.

It was only a matter of time before these brows came back, with 90s and Y2K fashion making a comeback these last couple of years. From the 90s look trending on TikTok, to being sported by the biggest names in beauty and fashion, we are contemplating picking up those tweezers!

Pronounced “give”, and inspired by Gwen’s signature, Gx (Gwen with a kiss), GXVE was created to celebrate creativity & individuality. GXVE aims to acknowledge and honour the makeup artistry and inspiration that is constantly shared in the makeup community. At GXVE’s center is Gwen’s own love for makeup, formed when she worked at a makeup counter and realized makeup could positively affect people.

To promote their launch, GXVE’s Instagram page has been posting images that evoke old Hollywood glamour and pop-rock 90s nostalgia, with black and white checkered nails, red lips, and gold jewelry. A combination that perfectly captures GXVE’s branding and matches their black, white, and gold packaging.

GXVE is releasing eight new products: one eyeshadow quad, one pencil liner, two brow products, a face primer, and three lip products.

It may seem random to make a series about this pairing, but Pamela Anderson was one of the biggest stars of the 90s, having an iconic role in Baywatch and being a Playboy model. Tommy Lee is a musician, widely known for being a drummer in the Rock band Mötley Crüe. Together, they are renowned as being one of the most well known 90s couples, having infamously tied the knot after knowing each other for only 96 hours. 

Pam & Tommy will be delivered as an eight-part series, starring Sebastian Stan and Lily James as the couple. The show will tell be set in 1995, following the scandalous story of the pair’s infamous sex tape that was stolen and released to the public. 

The tape was originally stolen by Rand Gauthier, who had installed a security system in Tommy’s house before the robbery. Playing the role of Rand is Seth Rogan, with Nick Offerman starring as his accomplice to the distribution of the tape. 

One of the most exciting parts of this season is seeing the cast completely transform into their characters, almost making them unrecognisable. From fake tattoos, prosthetics, piercings, hair pieces and 90s fashion, this cast have immersed themselves in making sure their appearance is as close to the real thing as possible. We can’t wait to see the series in full!

Hulu have announced that the release date for Pam & Tommy is February 2nd 2022, available to stream exclusively on Hulu via Disney+.

M.A.C is no stranger when it comes to collaborating with iconic musicians. In previous years they’ve dropped major collections with iconic women of colour including Nicki Minaj, Rihanna and Selena Quintanilla-Perez; just to name a few.

Well, M.A.C latest muse is the iconic singer and choreographer, Teyana Taylor. And we couldn’t be more excited about this collab.

When she’s not absolutely killing it on stage, Miss Taylor has forever been an inspiration to us in the fashion and beauty world. It’s no secret that we’ve been copying her style ever since she came onto the scene, and now, we can literally buy it!

So far, we’ve only been teased with what’s to come. From M.A.C’s Insta announcement on Monday, it’s no surprise that the collection will be inspired by a ‘90’s dream’ and the love for her NYC Harlem hometown; from Teyana’s style of red glossy lips, bold brows and flawless skin.

Speaking in a press statement, Teyana said: “I’m so grateful and excited to be sharing this beautiful collection I created with the MAC team but also hoping to inspire other young black women that anything and everything is possible.”

Better yet, this really is a collaboration that was a match made in heaven. Since the early age of 15, Teyana said: “I’d walk down the block on 125th street and stop at the MAC store and just stare at the campaigns. I couldn’t wait for that to be me, for real,” when speaking to Elle.com. Talk about a dream come true!

Ukonwa Ojo, Global Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President of Global Marketing praised the musician in her own words saying:

“She’s fierce, bold and unapologetically herself, no matter what she’s wearing – all qualities we stand for at MAC and are so excited to bring to life through this new collaboration.”

Despite the difficult times that 2020 has brought us, it has not stopped Teyana. These last few months have really been ‘go, go, go’ for her. First, a major beauty collab. Second, the upcoming release of her latest album, Juneteeth. And third, she’s announced she’s expecting a second daughter in her latest music video. What a woman!

The capsule collection celebrates the brand’s sailing heritage with an on trend streetwear twist.

Christian Oita is the Photographer/filmmaker of this nostalgic campaign and we think that he did an incredible job of resonating with the 90s era but also bringing a fresh, urban take to appeal to the younger, fashion forward audience of Tommy Hilfiger.

To welcome in the new year, the artist has landed a track starring the straight-talking, no nonsense Hip-Hop singer Cardi B, whose song Bodak Yellow shot her to fame last year. The duo’s track, ‘Finesse’ runs with a video styled in a wonderfully nostalgic throwback to the 90’s. With clashing colour, oversized clothing, enormous jewellery and the unmistakeably 90’s Hip-Hop vibe throughout, it looked as though the cast of The Fresh Prince was going to appear at any moment!

The video demonstrates how fresh the 90’s decade still is, and how its styles and trends are still influencing popular culture today.
