Spicing Up Your Hair Game this Spring

This spring is the season for hair accessories, from butterfly clips to 60’s inspired headbands, there’s a range of accessories for everybody’s styles. Adding a hair accessory is a simple but effective way to add something exciting to your look, and this spring is the time to do it. Adding pins and pearls is a way to make your look cohesive and stylish, whether your an avid hair accessory advocate or looking to try something new, this spring may be the time to start! Here are a few of our favourite celebrities who have been wearing hair accessories and giving us all the inspiration we need;

Doja Cat

Pop and Rap star Doja Cat is always serving us the hottest and more exciting Y2K inspired outfits, and her recent instagram posts don’t disappoint. She’s seen wearing colourful noughties butterfly clips in a pig tail half-up-half-down hairstyle having us all in awe of her gorgeous locks. The cute clips with the pink outfit and makeup is giving us all the Y2K fantasies all in one! If this is up your street this is something to definitely try at home and add something different to your hairstyle.

Supermodel Hailey Bieber is not the usual type to rock a Y2K look, usually seen in a YSL dress or her classic “model off duty” style, this TikTok she posted definitely gave us all a pleasing shock. Seen wearing bright pink butterfly clips in a recent TikTok, this is just another reason why we should be getting out hands on these cute childish hair accessories this spring. Hailey is seen using them to clip back the front two pieces of hair whilst leaving the rest of her hair down, this is another simple way to add accessories into your hair.

Olivia Rodrigo

Olivia Rodrigo is the definition of Y2K fashion, always seen with cute spikes hair do’s, mini dresses or bright and colourful sequins, this style is her perfect fit. Seen in a recent instagram post wearing colourful clips stacked either side of her hair. The clip hair accessories are so versatile and can be used to be the focus of your look or just add a little something different into your look. Olivia is seen with two sleek low plates and a variety of coloured and flower clips to add to her outfit.

Vanessa Hudgens

Actress Vanessa Hudgens was seen with some simple and classy pearl hair slides hidden in her slick middle part pony. Usually not a hair accessory advocate, Vanessa chose a simplistic pearl slide the add into her up-do, this matches her outfit more than a Y2K butterfly clip would. Showing us that this spring there are a variety of different slides and clips that can be added to your look! Maybe this is more your vibe for an evening dinner or an event, just a little something subtle to tie the whole look together.

Bella Hadid

In a recent Instagram post celebrating her newest vogue cover, Bella is seen with a slick deep side part spikey bun and a couple pearl pins to accessorise. Recently Bella’s instagram feed seems to be showing us her own personal style, something that’s a mix between etherial and modern day, and the addition of these pearl hair slides compliment her style perfectly. Sticking with her iconic slick hair and using pearls so accessorise is something we definitely want to give a go this spring, what’s not to love!

Alicia Keyes

Alicia Keyes shows us her new bling braids in a recent instagram post! The singer has her hair in cornrow braids with sparkling silver accessories running through the middle, how stunning does this look! Cornrow braids are an amazing protective hairstyle and perfect for the hotter weather approaching to keep ur hair protected from the humidity. The sparkles plus the curly edges is the perfect look for this spring, something so simple to achieve but effective and can elevate any normal hairstyle.

Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor-Joy is always serving us 50’s and 60’s vibes, and in one of her recent appearances on the red carpet she’s seen rocking a thick black headband. Paired perfectly with her icy blonde hair and a deep side parting, everything comes together perfectly. Giving the hairband a go this spring may be more of your style, its perfect for the hotter weather and looks so cute with the right outfit!
