Met Afterparty Outfits Inspiring Our Going-Out Looks

The Met Gala this year was a feast for the eyes, with pearls, tweed, and flowers galore. If you thought the red carpet looks were good, just wait until you see the afterparty looks. Here are our favourite outfits that you can recreate for your own special event:

Kendall Jenner

Kendall embraced the naked dress trend with this bodysuit by Nensi Dojaka. It was inspired by a piece from the Chanel SS94 collection and consisted of a sequin bodysuit with black underwear and pearl straps.

Vogue editor Gabriella teamed up with Stuart Vevers of Coach to create this beautiful dress, made from leftover chiffon materials from past runway shows as well as ticket stubs and maps from the Met trash to make the floral details.

Olivia Wilde

Dua wore head-to-toe Chanel, mixing black biker shorts with a tweed tank top and monogram tights. She layered thick strands of pearls and gold Chanel chains around her neck and waist, wore pearl-detail fingerless gloves, and matched pearl details on her sunglasses and heels.

Michaela Coel

The Met Gala co-chair was definitely one of the best dressed at the Gala, and she kept the gold embellished theme going for her Xhosa afterparty, wearing a black leather bodysuit over tights with a gold body painted on it. She matched this with gold earrings and sunglasses and added a silver sequin blazer on top, embroidered with regal gold Baroque stitching.

Emily Ratajkowski

EmRata made a change from the black-and-white theme of the evening, donning this sparkly purple sequin halter dress from Versace’s SS02 collection. She paired the super short dress with silver bracelets, black heels, and a metallic and crystal-embellished pink bag from Gedebe.

Nicola Peltz Beckham

Attending afterparties with her husband, Nicole wore this dark red Valentino bandeau dress with long red opera gloves to match. She paired it with a pair of outrageous red sunglasses and the two huge diamond necklaces she was seen wearing at the gala.

Ri wore this white button-up set that showed off her baby bump to attend afterparties with her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky. It consisted of a cropped blazer and cross-detail skirt with a long slit up the thigh from Chrome Hearts. She matched her jewellery to her skirt, layering cross necklaces and anklets with silver earrings and bracelets.
