Inside the 37th Athens Fashion Week: The Designers Who Stole the Spotlight

Here at Voir, we’re always on the lookout for emerging designers from across the globe. This season, our journey took us to the 37th edition of Athens Fashion Week — a vibrant celebration of creativity, craftsmanship, and bold new visions. Renowned designers, established brands, and rising talents showcased their collections inside the iconic Public Tobacco Factory on Lenorman Street, a modern venue that beautifully merged Athens’ cultural heritage with contemporary fashion energy.

Between runway shows, showroom appointments, and diving into Athens’ dynamic design scene, we based ourselves at the stunning St. George Lycabettus Hotel — the perfect sanctuary between back-to-back events. And from the many shows we attended, these are the designers who truly stood out.

Valtadoros

A show that felt almost cosmically aligned, Valtadoros opened the week on 11/11, matching the 11:11 motif printed on the T-shirts gifted to each guest. Hosted at the Telekom Centre, the runway unfolded across a transparent glass floor that created a futuristic, ethereal glow.

Valtadoros delivered a masterclass in bold femininity, sculptural silhouettes, and confident tailoring. Rich reds, electric blues, and textured fabrics dominated the runway, seamlessly blending womenswear and menswear. It wasn’t just a show — it was a powerful statement and an unforgettable start to Athens Fashion Week.

Yiorgos Eleftheriades

One of the strongest voices in sustainable Greek fashion, Yiorgos Eleftheriades presented his 25/26 collection titled “I Am You, We Are One.”
A poetic tribute to unity, personal freedom, and responsible design, the collection unfolded with refined tailoring and soulful precision.

After the show, he told us: “We create clothes that stand the test of time.” That ethos was evident in the beautifully structured outerwear, layered silhouettes, and tactile textures that blended menswear and womenswear with quiet power. Earthy tones and thoughtful craftsmanship made this one of the most meaningful collections of the week.

Klelia Andrali

A burst of colour, character, and unapologetic creativity — that’s the world of Klelia Andrali. Her latest collection was a joyful celebration of bold prints, unexpected silhouettes, and fearless self-expression.

The runway radiated individuality and artistic freedom. From clashing patterns to sculptural shapes and vibrant colour stories, every look felt like a tiny explosion of maximalist magic. Andrali’s ethical, expressive approach continues to place her among Greece’s most exciting contemporary voices.

Dassios

A longstanding favourite on the Greek fashion scene, Dassios delivered one of the most theatrical and emotionally charged presentations of the week. The runway became a stage — a breathtaking fusion of costume, storytelling, and couture, inspired by the world of theatre.

A powerful opening performance set the tone, immersing the audience in a regal, dramatic universe. Rich textures, historical accents, and elaborate detailing echoed a Bridgerton-esque romanticism. Greek model Melina Kappi appeared with the designer’s signature braided lela hairstyle — a striking detail that captured the brand’s unmistakable identity.

This was more than a show. It was a full theatrical experience and one we won’t forget.

Daphne Valente

Celebrating 40 years of Daphne Valente, this anniversary show honoured an iconic career defined by elegance, innovation, and instantly recognisable design language. Her signature plissé, sculptural silhouettes, and fluid movement once again proved why she remains a pillar of Greek fashion.

Having seen her shows for four consecutive Athens Fashion Weeks, we can confidently say: she never disappoints. Just when we think we know what to expect, she surprises us with something new. Timeless, refined, and breathtaking — Daphne Valente continues to redefine modern elegance.

Ioanna Kourbela

A newer addition to the official schedule but part of a long-established Greek fashion house, Ioanna Kourbela offered a collection rooted in fluid forms, contemporary elegance, and ethical craftsmanship.

We previewed the pieces before the show, where Kourbela spoke passionately about sustainability. That vision translated beautifully on the runway. Several tops could be worn three or four different ways, showcasing versatility and intelligent design. Functional, thoughtful, and beautifully executed — Kourbela is shaping the future of conscious Greek fashion.

Parlé Moi

Parlé Moi delivered a captivating blend of elegance and creativity. The standout moments?
Feather-trimmed pieces and shimmering crystal-detailed looks that sparkled under the lights.

The collection balanced sophistication with playful artistry, offering garments that felt both modern and enchanting — a quietly dazzling highlight of the week.

Vassilis Zoulias

Last — but absolutely never least — Vassilis Zoulias, one of our all-time favourite Greek designers. This was classic Zoulias at his finest: signature floral prints, sweeping gowns, dramatic sleeves, and rich, romantic textures.

The details were immaculate. Accessories by his long-time creative partner Pericles Kondylatos elevated every look — from sculptural handbags to oversized statement earrings (we spotted pieces well over “six sizes”). Together, they delivered a masterclass in Greek luxury and heritage artistry.

Athens Fashion Week once again proved why Greece’s design scene deserves the world’s attention. From theatrical storytelling to sustainable innovation and timeless couture, the designers showcased a dynamic future rooted in heritage, creativity, and bold individuality.

And as always — we left inspired, energised, and already counting down to the next one.
