Here’s Your Ringside Seat To The Savage X Fenty New Sport Collection

Rihanna is one of those oh so lucky – or unlucky – celebrities that exist in a perpetual state of relevance, no matter how little they engage with it. The exhausted legions of #Navy that feed on paparazzi scraps and stand to attention for Pon De Replay are one of the least enviable, most committed stans the world over, and we have nothing but respect for our troops!

Once in a while, these eternal flames will give us a little something and we’ll go absolutely rabid for it, and we’d be willing to bet the news of this new collection will be a chaos trigger. Whilst the collection doesn’t officially drop until the 9th of November, we’ve done our due diligence and got you covered on all the juicy details…

The new collection is yet another love child of Rihanna and American designer Adam Selman, another jewel in their illustrious history of collaborations together. Selman has previously been involved in some of the most iconic RiRi moments, such as the original Savage X Fenty capsule collection that launched Valentine’s 2020 and that infamous Swarovski naked dress moment that graced the 2014 CFDA Awards and pissed off the remaining two-thirds of TLC.

Functioning as the official executive design director for Savage X Fenty Sport, we have no doubt this new Selman and Rihanna collaboration will be yet another internet-breaking moment.

When asked by Vogue what we can expect from the new collection, Rhianna said: For me, it was about fit and fabric, and I let Adam play with everything else. The pieces are sexy and snatch you, but it’s functional and that’s what describes the whole Sport collection. Sexy. Functional. Fashion,’

The new collection is set to be a ‘perfect marriage’ of lingerie and activewear that’s unlike anything currently available. Features rumoured to be included in the collection are: sheer cut-outs and panels, punchy shades, breathable materials, silhouette-defining wardrobe staples and ‘X’ motifs.

If that isn’t hot shit enough for you, the campaign is a star-studded cast of oiled-up women in supreme form, amongst those: Supermodel Precious Lee, a very pregnant Joanna Pauline, Tiktok star Avani Gregg and all-round-baddie-martial-art-expert Nelita Villezon. The campaign video dropped today to nuclear reactions online and we can’t say we’re surprised – is that new music we hear?
