Best-Dressed: Latin Grammys 2023

The 2023 Latin Grammys was a star-studded affair held in Seville, Spain last night on the 16th of November. It is one of the most prestigious events in the Latin music industry that brings Latin music to the forefront and shines light on their artists. For the first time in its 24-year history, the awards were held in Europe as compared to the previous years’ editions which were held in Las Vegas. The nominees included the likes of Rosalia, Shakira, Karol G, Nicki Nicole, and Rauw Alejandro— all of whom make our best-dressed list for the evening. Here are a few looks which grabbed our attention.

Karol G

The singer opted to receive the Grammy for ‘Album of the Year’ in this Balmain creation. The colour of her hair complimented the sequined baby-doll dress. She let the signature structure of a Balmain dress be at the center of the look, completing the outfit with nude heels.

Rosalía chose to wear a sheer lace dress with a trail from Balenciaga’s 2024 Spring/ Summer collection. The ‘Record of the Year’ nominee, paired the dress with black pumps, and a clean sultry look for make-up.

The singer won ‘Song of the Year’ with Bizzarap. She was fitted in a velvet Harris Reed gown, made completely from up-cycled materials, paired with a metallic corset. She finished the outfit with her signature look for hair and make-up.

Elena Rose

The Venezuelan-American singer won ‘Person of the Year’ in a silver Di Petsa wet look. She styled the dress with nude satin platform heels and quintessential red carpet glam for hair and make-up.

Anna Castillo

The Spanish actress wore a sheer black dress from Isabel Marant’s 2023 Fall/Winter collection. Castillo chose to style the RIMMA dress with clean, fresh make-up and a ponytail.

Sita Bellan

The Spanish DJ and model wore a custom Levis gown made from the Levis 501 originals. She pushed the boundaries, opting for blue braids and edgy graphic liner, in line with her usual punk aesthetic. Abellán accessorised the look with a chunky silver necklace, earrings and rings. She also wore Amina Muaddi pumps.

The Brazilian singer and songwriter wore a red dress by Dsquared2. The dress had a high slit and cut-outs across the torso. She completed the look with thigh high lace-up stilettos and a bronzed glam.

Nicki Nicole

The Argentinian singer-songwriter, nominated for ‘Best Urban Music Album’ wore a mermaid-cut red latex dress with black platform heels. Nicole accessorised the look with jewellery by Messika Paris.

Rauw Alejandro

The Puerto Rican singer who also performed on stage during the event, wore an all-black YSL look with an oversized blazer over a deep scoop neck t-shirt for the red carpet. Alejandro wore Cartier jewellery to accessorise.

Mar Lucas

Spanish actress and singer, Mar Lucas, wore a black sheer set by Ze García. The look is paired with matching gloves with wrap-around cut outs. Lucas finished the look with a slicked back bun, shimmery smokey-eye glam and silver stilettos.
