André Leon Talley’s Lifetime of Iconic Quotes

Today, fashion lovers around the world mourn the loss of a pioneering fashion figure, André Leon Talley. Best known for being the former Editor-At-Large of US Vogue under Anna Wintour, his career spanned over 5 decades. Well-loved over the world for his sassy comments and vivacious appearance, not many make an impact quite as dynamic as the fabulous Talley. With a presence as extravagant as Talley’s, and his capes as big as his personality, he will be greatly missed in our community.

Voir shares some of our favourite looks and quotes from the legend himself.

Although André was well-loved for his abundance of sass, it’s important to note that he strived for greatness in everything he did, paving the way for many creatives who didn’t think their dreams would have been possible. Through championing diversity in the industry, he made a great deal of change and we will forever be grateful to him.

“The greatest luxury is to be a kind, good person and to impart to humanity something that will enrich their lives, to have a moment with someone that you’ve imparted richness.”
