A Dress Which Almost Broke The Internet, Of Course, Earns Its Place On Our Weekly Insta Looks

We have rounded up our favourite looks from the past week from our favourite style icons. Featuring Barbiecore aesthetic, iconic Jean Paul Gaultier sets and the dress which created an online frenzy- we have it all.

Aureta

This look is giving Barbiecore dream. A full pink monochromatic look which we are obsessed over and glad to have in our mix this week. The oversized fuzzy pink sweater is super gorgeous, not to mention, looks unbelievably comfy. Paired with a silky pair of pleated baby pink trousers, the fit is lavish. Considering Aureta was in Mexico, the matching pink sunglasses were not a want, they were a need.

Maya Jama

We are super excited about the look Maya wore while she presented the show of Love Island this week. Not only did she look unbelievably gorgeous when she stepped out in her full-length black gown, but she wore a designer you may not be familiar with…yet. Meet Eli Mizrahi, the designer behind the sensational brand, Mônot. The Lebanese born fashion designer designed a stunning symmetrical cut-out halter-neck gown, which basically broke the internet this week. The dress was absolutely stunning and has waited patiently for this moment as featured as part of his striking AW21 collection.

Tommy Genesis

Anyone with eyes can see how incredible this look from Tommy Genesis is. Wow. We don’t even know what we love the most…well… it’s probably those pair of translucent red knee-highs, but it’s a close race. The style created by partnering a bondage style corset over a t-shirt style orange dress, is a sweet and spice mixture that is goddamn tasty. Similar black leather leg straps are worn to show everyone Genesis is not playing, she’s 100% serving.

Kylie Jenner

Double trouble. The Jean Paul Gautier outfits that no one can stop obsessing over. Seen on so many celebrities already, this week Kylie and friend Anastasia showed us they are on board with this trend. Kylie wears a blue and yellow two-piece while Anastasia wears a brown and green version. The 1990’s cyber dots which took off at the time have had a huge resurgence. The collection ‘Cyber’ was therefore created to bring the iconic prints to modern styles.

Sydney Sweeney

We love what Euphoria star, Sydney Sweeney, was wearing earlier this week as she paraded down the street, giving us enough time to soak up the outfit in all its glory. The sexy leather look is massively trending and there is no explanation needed as for why. Knee-high leather boots and a short cut leather outfit is our style inspo to the max at the moment. Modestly wearing a long blazer coat over the top gives the look a classic, Parisian vibe.

Kendall Jenner

A chic little number from Kendall Jenner this week. Lilac is predicted big for 2023 and we are seeing it start to infiltrate into the trends of the season. This dress is a super clean-cut, elegant bodycon which would be a great asset to the Spring wardrobe. Matching clutch and pointed stilettos, the whole outfit comes together.

Hailey Bieber

Just as much a style queen as a skincare queen, Miss Hailey Bieber. This is a bustier look than what we normally see for the model which touches lightly on a renaissance silhouette. The accessories are everything in this party fit and we are vibing hard with the contrast of the black outfit with the enlarged gold jewellery. The long dangly earrings look super stylish with Hailey’s slicked back hair and allow them to be eye-catching. Buttons, belt and zip are all so extra and really create focal points of the outfit.

Betsy Johnson

A noticeably Betsy Johnson style. It’s super hot, but also edgy. The pointed toes and stiletto heels are a knee-high boot trend breaking away from the chunky platforms. We are seeing loads of a-symmetrical styles and we are loving our favourites sporting them. The classic chic, streamline sunglasses are a Betsy favourite, and a signature cool girl style.

Bella Hadid

Bella always seems to be busy. Enough for us to warrant the question of how does she manage to still give us so many looks? We are not complaining, however, as she weekly, without fail, provides us new inspo. The midi and maxi skirt cuts are coming back and we are adoring Bella’s choice of red denim. A geometric cropped top…in lilac… yes. The look is noughties influenced and capturing our attention are those delicate little ballet flats.

JT

A super cool look this week from JT. The geometric pattern on the two piece is really retro which means it gets an instinctive yes from us. The reason the piece looks vintage, is because, it is. A vintage Emilio Pucci with a unique cut which teases as it slips off the shoulder. Playful and sensual, the two-piece is an eye-catcher at the least.

Sav Hudson

The legendary style of Sav Hudson. She provides us another great post of style inspiration which we can’t live without now. Let’s break the outfit down. Classic Burberry trench which pairs nicely with the micro-mini beige skirt. Sav is super playful when it comes to mixing lengths and cuts which is why she creates such cool styles. The renaissance style constricted denim corset is in itself a piece of art. Sav’s boots caught our attention as they consist of an unconventional heel to toe partnership. The square cut toe with the low kitten heel is definitely a style to watch out for.
