<p><strong>Gucci</strong></p>



<p>Day 1 featured the one and only Gucci kicking off the fun. The runway was designed as two interlocked letter Gs possessing an intense and sinister vibe with a live orchestra playing and the music at a constant crescendo – what are they building to…perhaps the announcement of a new creative director?&nbsp;</p>



<p>The collection itself was inspired by Guccio Gucci and had a very retro Italian aesthetic along with a 70s flair and a bit of the 50s sprinkled in with the dress shapes. The second look was one that stood out with a leather skirt dusting the knees, an oversized vest jacket with large buttons to match, purple heels and a headscarf to complete the look. Purple tights and lime green outfits popped throughout, adding depth to the looks with burnt orange also making an appearance. Horse bit necklaces and accessories were peppered throughout the show and of course fur was not forgotten, along with tweed, tweed, and more tweed. Gucci know the meaning of a classy woman that’s for sure.</p>

<p><strong>Diesel</strong></p>



<p>Oh my gosh, what a way to stand out. Diesel probably had the most unique set design when you look into the story behind it. It was created by a collective of over 7000 people across the world as Diesel sent miles and miles of fabric to art schools and street artists across the US, UK, China, South Africa and Europe to create the street art installation as Glenn Martin strove for freedom of expression. For the looks themselves they were fresh and crisp featuring icy silvers, crisp denim (obviously) with disrupted aspects, a lot of grey and black shades and apparently <em>the crack is back</em>. Bouclé and tweed coats featured here as well in a houndstooth pattern, fur trims featured on oversized bags with full fur options as well pairing perfectly with the denim. Everything was distressed and created a very raw feel.</p>

<p><strong>Blumarine</strong>&nbsp;</p>



<p>Under the new creative direction of David Koma, he showcased a simple yet effective colour palette. Kicking off with Irina Shayk, the audience was served dark romanticism – heavy on the black with a pop of devilish red and a dusting of white with floral patterns. Fluid lace tops and fitted black and white mesh dresses were seen throughout, with denim making a brief appearance, all finished off with silver embellishments and crystal appliqués.</p>

<p><strong>Roberto Cavalli</strong></p>



<p>Fausto Puglisi was inspired by Pompeii for this collection which included rich reds, matching the runway, and paired with leopard print trims. Lace and velvet were intertwined, and he didn’t hold back on the prints – especially florals, which are increasingly becoming more frequent on the runways. Hot lava prints were spilled over the dresses creating a fierce energy on the runway alongside roman motifs with a toga dress and gold leaf straps. Puglisi created a garden scene on the dresses as he dug into Italian garden imagery with pistachio and emerald greens.</p>

<p><strong>Dolce &amp; Gabbana&nbsp;</strong></p>



<p>The runway was kicked off with an army green ensemble paired with black lace and fur trims across the looks. D&amp;G went heavy on the silver chain belts and black was featured a lot – in a sexy boudoir way, along with leather boots and leather coats with a variety of trims – furs, tassels, and jewel embellishments as well. Leopard print was featured once again this season as we have now confirmed it’s been promoted from micro-trend, and denim was not forgotten with double waisted jeans and jackets of course. Look 19 was a standout for Voir, the coat created a dramatic cloud-like effect with its fluffy white texture contrasting perfectly with the structured black boots. Accessories included alien sunglasses and fur bags were a hit, and as the show drew to a close, we were presented with going out styles – silver and jewels were a standout point along with lace and feathers.</p>

<p><strong>Prada</strong></p>



<p>The models opened the show in black dresses as they walked on an elevated runway adorned with a cream floral carpet. Accessible silhouettes and styles were at the forefront of the collection with designs most people can wear and have access to alongside Prada making a statement that tube dresses are on their way back. The whole show nodded towards subtle glamour featuring lots of shirts, oversized buttons, bows making a return, and prominent florals as seen in other Milan shows. Of course, furs weren’t forgotten as the go to coat for this autumn/winter.</p>

<p><strong>Ferrari</strong></p>



<p>Elegant, sleek, and expensive are three words that flawlessly capture Ferrari’s show. The runway was a Ferrari red, setting the scene for what’s to come – we received opulent furs matched with grey suits and red ties in line with the brand’s signature rosso colour. The audience saw a pop of yellow to match Ferrari’s logo paired with burnt orange shoes in a variety of styles, alongside a prominent forest green as the final colour seen on the logo. This was featured on fur trims, coats, and accessories. Ferrari’s innovative recycled Q-CYCLE material was used on the in the looks and the show ended with burgundy leathers, crinkled organza and lots and lots of tassels.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>Moschino&nbsp;</strong></p>



<p>Moschino presented us with the trend that is about to surge into our wardrobes – polka dots, featured on dresses, skirts, and jackets. Rigid silhouettes were balanced with bubble skirts, and light, flowy materials on dresses alongside numerous floral print garments. Unique denim designs walked the runway with oversized back pockets on the front and the highest of high waists paired with the classic Moschino belt of course. Alex Consani closed the show with a powerful wake-up call regarding environmental awareness as she carried trash bags representing the waste the industry emits and wearing a t-shirt dress picturing a globe with ‘SOS’ written beneath. She was preceded by two models wearing looks made from a material resembling bin bags, with one holding a globe, mirroring the start of the show where we saw imagery of unfinished garments with exposed stitching sending a message of fast fashion’s process.</p>

<p><strong>Fendi</strong></p>



<p>Fendi marked its 100<sup>th</sup> birthday with a luxurious collection. Sarah Jessica Parker was pictured front row with the Baguette Bag celebrating one of Fendi’s most historic moments of it being featured on SATC as Carrie’s go-to accessory making it a global sensation shortly after. 1920s flapper dresses nodded towards the house’s origins that decade along with lavish furs. Polished leathers were showcased in the form of full-length coats, skirts and unique co-ord with bubble silhouettes in burnt orange, white and black. Belts were heavily used throughout the show to accentuate the waist, plenty of trench-style coats were seen, and jewels were powdered throughout the collection.</p>

<p>Voir recently had the pleasure to interview Sophie Castillo, an up-and-coming Latina indie musician before she jetted off to Miami, on her US tour. Sophie grew to fame after a viral TikTok of her song went viral and since has opening for the likes of J Balvin last summer. Sophie draws upon her Latina heritage and London upbringing to fuel her musical artistry as well as being influenced by singers like Lana Del Rey and indie 2000s rock bands. She has an EP coming out soon &#8211; the first single will be released on 28<sup>th</sup> February, followed by the full album in April.</p>



<p><strong>One of the big things about your music is how you are inspired by your multicultural background. How has being a Londoner influenced your artistry?</strong></p>



<p>Oh, I love that question as most people ask me about my Latin heritage! Growing up in London I listened to all the British music we like as teenagers especially rock and indie bands like The Arctic Monkeys, The Vaccines and The Kooks. It was the Tumblr days, that indie-sleaze era. But that at home we always had Latin music playing.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Lana Del Rey has been my favourite singer since I was 13 when she released the Video Games music video – everyone was talking about it at school and I become obsessed with her lyrics.</p>



<p><strong>You started singing at just three years old and performed in musical theatre early on. Do you think your theatrical background has shaped your stage presence as a performer?&nbsp;</strong></p>



<p>I did musical theatre from 5 to 13 and it really helped me train my ear through singing in a choir and practising harmonies. This has been essential when I am in the studio and am recording vocal production and harmonies in my songs. In terms of performance, it helps me views things from a more theatrical perspective in how to bring my performance to life. I can be a bit of a critic of myself but it’s important to analyse your performances and really put on a show.</p>



<p><strong>What was it like gaining recognition through TikTok? How has this platform shaped your audience and the way they engage with your music?</strong></p>



<p>TikTok for me has been a total game changer. It kickstarted my career. It was the most ridiculous TikTok that went viral. I was using a Cap Cut template and it was all blurry. I just posted it, like whatever, then it went super viral! It was the start of my career and helped me connect with lots of people all over the world. I was really D-I-Ying the whole music thing before that video.</p>



<p><strong>You often blend languages in your songs, seamlessly switching between Spanish and English. Was this inspired by other Latina artists or was it a natural reflection of growing up in a bilingual household?</strong></p>



<p>It is quite symbolic of my life to be honest. When I do English and Spanish it feels quite authentic to me, and it embodies this fluidity between culture and language. I quite like to make a point of using both languages – I feel more engaged with my audience. I prefer a Spanish chorus because the words have a nice and lively sound to them, and then a verse or pre-chorus in English.</p>



<p><strong>How do you want people to experience your music? Where do you imagine them listening to it, and what kind of emotions do you hope to evoke?</strong></p>



<p>I would definitely say in the car. My fans send me a lot of pictures of them listening in the car. I get so much inspiration when I’m travelling, on the tube or on the bus. I think because our lives are so busy, travelling is the only time we get to properly listen to music.&nbsp;</p>



<p><strong>You&#8217;ve already worked with some amazing artists, but who is your dream collaborator?&nbsp;</strong></p>



<p>100% Lana Del Rey. I love her so much. That would be a dream come true.</p>



<p><strong>You are a key musician in the indie Latina music scene, but how do you see it evolving and changing over time and you yourself within it?</strong></p>



<p>I find myself going through a bit of a sound evolution &#8211; I am getting older and more confident, and I’ve really enjoyed making some darker pop songs. I think major Spanish and Latina artists will start tapping more into salsa than reggaeton. I want to help bring more Latin genres to the front like salsa and bolero.&nbsp;</p>



<p><strong>If you weren’t a singer, what path do you think you would have pursued?</strong></p>



<p>I really like fashion. During lockdown I was making clothes and selling them at home. I would have loved to have been a fashion designer. If not, then a doctor. I find medicine really interesting, and I love tv shows set in hospitals. I was watching The Good Doctor recently and loved it.</p>

From crystallised tears to avant-garde minimalism, here are the standout beauty moments from the season.</p>

<p>Grete Henriette made her London Fashion Week debut with a runway inspired by divine femininity and natural beauty. Shimmering eyeshadow and delicately highlighted cheekbones enhanced the models&#8217; features, creating an understated yet captivating look. <p>Dimitra Petsa has long explored themes of fluidity, sensuality, and female desire, and her FW25 collection<em>, Reflections of Desire</em>, was no exception. The beauty look was an evocative extension of this narrative. Models’ eyelashes were encrusted with salt to mimic crystallised tears and to represent snow lashes, while smudged lipstick suggested love notes left on skin. Riley, a champion of zero-waste makeup, used milky and bloody textures to reflect the raw, unfiltered aspects of attraction. This avant-garde approach blurred the lines between beauty, art, and storytelling.</p>



<p><strong><em>SRVC: Futuristic Minimalism</em></strong></p>

<p>Ricky Wesley Harriott’s SRVC show, set atop London’s BT Tower, embraced sci-fi influences with sleek tailoring and futuristic silhouettes. Some models wore subtle metallic eyeshadow, while lips varied dramatically ranging from bold black or muted orange to a striking half painted effect, where the upper lip was black, and the lower lip left bare or glossed. This high contrast aesthetic reinforced SRVC’s cutting-edge identity.&nbsp;</p>

The beauty looks were equally mesmerising, eyebrow less models with silvery eyeshadow, lace edged lips, and tattoo-like facial embellishments created an otherworldly, gothic aesthetic. The show’s defining moment was <em>“Look 23,”</em> where a model emerged with cascading fiery ginger hair that flowed to her thighs, her body shimmering in iridescent hues of purple and blue. It was a breathtaking nod to Botticelli’s <em>The Birth of Venus</em>, reimagined through Findikoglu’s rebellious lens.</p>

<p>Harris Reed’s FW25 show, staged at the Tate Britain, was a celebration of unapologetic self-expression. Makeup artist <em>Sofia Tilbury</em> balanced rebellion with vulnerability, creating soft, glowing skin and nude lips to contrast with bold, exaggerated eyelashes. Upper and lower lashlines were adorned with long falsies, amplified further with layers of <em>Charlotte Tilbury’s</em> Exagger-Eyes Volume Mascara. <em>Florence Pugh’s</em> show-opening monologue set the tone, and her goth-glam spiky two-inch lashes became an instant highlight of the season, proving that bold beauty is here to stay.</p>

<p>Dolce &amp; Gabbana released its new mind-blowing campaign for the sublime men eau de parfum Devotion, which is set to launch on January 26th 2025. The campaign is innovative but with the classic D&amp;G Italian style, which makes the brand so loved all over the world. The typical Italian location of the market highly contributes to the charm of the ad, which is elevated by the Dolce &amp; Gabbana clothes that the stars are wearing, that resemble La Dolce Vita style with traditional Mediterranean elements such as flowers. Sex symbol Michele Morrone also brings a twist of Italian beauty to the perfume campaign, while Maya Jama embodies a strong femme fatale with her beauty. The breathtaking Italian actor Michele Morrone, previously starred in a Netflix show among others and TV presenter Maya Jama is also a model and influencer. The campaign was directed by the incredible Giuseppe Tornatore. The clip sees dark haired statuesque beauty Maya Jama walking down the streets of Palermo with a black floral print dress, a black lace veil and black stilettos with D&amp;G logo. Her hair are styled in a slightly messy bun and her makeup is natural with a hint of colour on the lips. She is also wearing Dolce &amp; Gabbana earrings. Michele Morrone on the other hand, is wearing a white shirt with a matching white foulard, which then Maya tenderly steals. Maya Jama is holding hands with Morrone and in a moment of playfulness and complicity they separate. In this instant the beautiful Maya styles her black veil on her head and walks away in a crowd of women dressed just like her, with a black floral dress. Charming Morrone then approaches one of the women thinking it was Maya. But it wasn’t. In a moment of theatrical tension then the women all put their hands, tangled with black rosary, onto Michele Morrone’s face. He is closing his eyes embracing the moment. Then the exquisite perfume appears in a transparent bottle with a silver heart with D&amp;G logo in the middle. The delicious fragrance has notes of spicy coffee which recalls Italian traditions, deep patchouli and fresh lemon for a hint of Mediterranean mystic. The perfume will launch on January 26th 2025, and will be available in all Dolce &amp; Gabbana stores. Devotion it’s the perfect gift for Valentine’s day to surprise your better half with a fragrance you won’t be able to resist.</p>

<p>While October certainly houses the season of frights, ghouls, and ghosts (we love you Halloween), October also explores a darker scare that we should all be aware of. October is breast cancer awareness month and while the focus should be on the fun things in life, we also need to pay special attention to our own health, as well as the wellbeing of those around us who may be feeling a little lost this month.</p>



<p>So, what better way to raise awareness and promote inclusivity that the queen of the Kardashian clan herself, Kim, to raise awareness in the promotion of her new Skims campaign; an ode to the wonderful Olivia Munn and her story.</p>



<p>Every scar tells a story of courage, a testament to a battle fought and a victory won. Scars are a mark of resilience, a symbol of strength worn like a second skin, and no one understands the importance of loving your scars like cancer survivors, and in particular, actress Olivia Munn. In March 2024, Olivia Munn revealed that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer the previous year. After four surgeries, including a double mastectomy, Olivia expressed her relief that it was caught with enough time that she had options, emphasising the importance of checking and remaining aware.</p>

<p>Tiffany &amp; Co are one of the big players in the jewellery sphere. Since the LVMH acquisition this year, the brand has been employing various marketing techniques for example their campaign ‘Not Your Mother’s Tiffany’s’ and the April Fool&#8217;s joke replacing the iconic blue box with a yellow colour scheme.</p>



<p>Now they have partnered with none other than Beyoncé and JAY-Z for their latest campaign. The campaign as you might guess from the name is about a love story. Reportedly, Beyoncé and Jay-Z stated that “love is the diamond that the jewellery and art decorate.” This sentiment embodies the spirit of the campaign and the cause.</p>

<p>In this shot by Mason Poole, Beyoncé wears a low back dress that draws attention to the signature Tiffany Diamond, one of the largest yellow diamonds in the world that weighs 128.54 carats. The diamond was discovered in South Africa over 140 years ago by Tiffany &amp; Co, founder Charles Lewis Tiffany and was acquired by Tiffany in 1878. The campaign highlights the Tiffany heritage and Jay-Z wears a pair of cufflinks constructed from the ‘Bird on a Rock’ brooch which was made by French designer Jean Schlumberger in 1956.</p>



<p><strong>The film</strong></p>



<p>In line with this partnership there will also be a film released for the campaign on September the 15<sup>th</sup> which will feature Beyoncé’s rendition of Moon River, a nod to the Holly Golightly era of Tiffany’s. This is shot on a Super 8 camera by JAY-Z himself.</p>

<p>If you haven’t already you should most definitely check out the ‘All That Man Is – Fashion and Masculinity Now’ exhibition, curated by Chira Bardelli for Italian Vogue. The exhibition showcases a multitude of amazing contemporary photographers that have captured images of men. These powerful images are exploring the concept of masculinity by showcasing fashion and art photographers that are addressing the subject of gender and masculinity. </p>



<p> </p>



<p>This exhibition is so defining as it&#8217;s challenging gender constructs, and ultimately making us ask questions like, <em>if a man is in a dress does it make him any less of a man</em>? (the answer is obviously no). By asking these questions we are allowing the images to show us a deeper and better understanding of contemporary society and what it means to be masculine.</p>

<p>Whether you’re a truck driver who likes to wear a sequin dress in his spare time, or an electrician who enjoys dancing to Toxic by Britney Spears, you are what you define yourself to be. And, don’t worry honey, we love you all the same.</p>

<p>House of SheldonHall is unique and boutique brand formed in the north of the UK. The name comes from Steven Sheldon and Emma Hall, the head designers of the brand. Steven and Emma met at College in Sheffield whilst they were studying Art &amp; Design. Emma is fabulous embroiderer and gifted seamstress; whilst Steven is a talented illustrator and brilliant pattern cutter. Both friends then went on to the University of Huddersfield where they studied Costume and Textiles.</p>

<p>At the age of 29 at London Fashion week the pair released their first ever collection in Autumn 2014. Furthermore, since the debut of House of SheldonHall the duo has been receiving Worldwide devotion of stylists, fashionistas and editors with their captivating and remarkable attitude to design. In 2014 Hand &amp; Lock London, an embroidery atelier to the Royal Family and other remarkable designers such as Louis Vuitton awarded him with winning a prestigious design competition.</p>

<p>Since then the House of SheldonHall has received some amazing recognition of their impressive apparels by the likes of Tatler, Vogue and Hello. As well as being published together with prized labels such as Moschino, House of Malakai, Vivienne Westwood and Christian Lacroix.</p>

<p>I recently got the opportunity to ask Emma and Steven a number of questions about </p>



<p>their design process, and what&#8217;s coming for House of SheldonHall.</p>



<p> </p>



<p>Sachin: <em>Who is your favourite designer? </em></p>



<p>Steven: I don’t think I have one, there’s so many</p>



<p>Emma: We love a bit of Dior though</p>



<p> </p>



<p>Sachin: <em>Do you have a muse that you have in mind when you design?</em></p>



<p>Steven: I think my muse is whoever I end up drawing, she just appears. I always start with a head, ears first, I like funny ears. Mouth next, big lips, and eyes last. Very very tall. Never the same. Then she kind of guides me to what I should draw. If we’re ever looking for models, we try and get ones that look the closest to my sketches.</p>



<p>Emma: Inspiration is all around, it’s not just one particular person that makes my juices flow. It can be an era, a colour, art, animals?  We both love the 1950’s. So we get a lot direction through researching past techniques and styles. We listen to a lot music; we never work in silence.</p>



<p> </p>



<p>Sachin: <em>Do you have a favourite piece? And why?</em> </p>



<p>Steven:  I don’t really. I think we both have our preferences, but in general they’re all our children.</p>



<p>Emma: I like the big opera Coat we did last season, and the green sequin, RIP, it got lost, or stolen. We’ve never got to the bottom of it. I think mostly because they’re 90% hand sewn.</p>



<p> </p>



<p>Sachin: <em>Who would you love to see wearing your pieces?</em></p>



<p>Steven: Personally, I would die to see Erin O’Conner in something. I love her look, her face, her features really speak to me.</p>



<p>Emma: We’ve already had a few chances for big names to wear our stuff, and got our hearts broken. So now I think that it’s best we don’t have a particular person in mind. Maybe just go with who is hot at the time. But we do hope we can get Daphne Guinness to wear something one day.</p>



<p>Steven: We would love the chance to work with Tim Walker, he always has the most interesting models.</p>



<p> </p>



<p>Sachin: <em>Tell us about your next collection? What&#8217;s coming up at the House of SheldonHall ? </em></p>



<p>Steven: Well, we obviously can’t say too much. As you know a designer’s new work is their best kept secret! It’s scheduled to be completed in mid-January. It’s our biggest collection to date. Massive!</p>



<p>Emma: Steven keeps adding more pieces!</p>



<p>Steven: Very Rich and full of colour. We’ve really concentrated on Textiles this season, our own applications of embroidery and print which makes the pieces so much more unique.</p>



<p>Emma: It will be the best we’ve done so far, it will defiantly make and impact, I know I’m going to need another house when it’s done.</p>



<p>Steven: There’s also a bit of a cute metaphor behind it all. Bit of a self-told story.</p>



<p>Emma: the next collection will blow your F***ing socks off!</p>
