Service95 will run as a weekly newsletter covering a range of topics and categories that Dua is passionate about, varying from beauty, fashion and arts to political issues and activism. Her passion and interest in world issues sparked during Dua’s time travelling, and she hopes to share her discoveries and knowledge with subscribers. 

Although the self-curated hub will come straight from Dua’s heart, her voice will not be the only one we hear, as she will be including voices from a range of global activists and experts that she loves. This feature will mainly thrive on the hub’s podcast, ‘At Your Service’, in which Dua will interview high profile guests and upcoming activists in a hope to inspire listeners. 

Speaking on what Service95 will have to offer, Dua said;

“I am a big reader and I think of myself as fairly plugged-in. My hope is that Service95 will really broaden the types and scopes of stories that you’ll be able to read, covering topics in ways that you probably wouldn’t read elsewhere.”

She went on to express that she has a love for discovering new places, books, films and restaurants. But, the real joy is in sharing her discoveries with friends and family, saying;

“I just find a really huge joy in telling people things that I’ve found, and I want to share that.”

Service95 is set to launch in January 2022, and we can’t wait to tune in to discover some of Dua’s favourite spots in the world, whilst learning about different cultures and world issues.

For the first time in history, London Fashion Week is going online. Organisers have announced that next month’s showcase with being entirely digital with women’s and menswear merging to create a gender-neutral showcase. The good news? We don’t need to buy a whole new wardrobe. The bad news? We can’t show off our whole new wardrobe.

The event which was meant to take place in June will feature a multimedia collection of interviews, podcasts, and digital showrooms which will be open to the public via www.londonfashionweek.co.uk meaning everyone will be able to view the collections this year, no invite needed. London is the third city to have created a virtual concept, with other cities including Shanghai and Moscow. This comes in the wake of several fashion events being cancelled such as the Met Gala in New York, the LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers and Paris, and Milan’s Fashion Weeks due to the current pandemic.

Much like every other industry, this unprecedented time has created a period of reflection and consideration with regards to the future of fashion and its’ sustainability. Fashion mogul Marc Jacobs commented on the number of shows that take place across the year branding them as unnecessary. Speaking to The Guardian, he explained: ‘’the amount of stuff we make and the quantity we make and the amount of time it’s shown is so excessive’’.

Caroline Rush, Chief Executive of the British Council explained how “the current pandemic is leading us all to reflect more poignantly on the society we live in and how we want to live our lives and build businesses when we get through this. The other side of this crisis, we hope will be about sustainability, creativity, and product that you value, respect, cherish.

By creating a cultural fashion week platform, we are adapting digital innovation to best fit our needs today and something to build on as a global showcase for the future.”

Whether you’re a fashionista or a first-timer, there will be something for everyone and the best part? You don’t need to leave your front room OR dash between shows in unbearably comfortable shoes. We reckon they’re onto something here.

It’s safe to say Covid-19 has been the ultimate cock block. Thoughts and prayers go out to anyone who had *just* met someone before this lockdown was announced, hope you guys are holding up. But whilst this global pandemic has caused us to put away that Friday night date dress and reach for WhatsApp, there are still plenty of ways to have successful dates and the best part? It won’t cost you £10 a cocktail. Read on to find out how you can make the best out of a bad situation, and still keep that spark alive…

Disclaimer: wearing a nice top, on-point make-up and date-worthy hair whilst sporting some joggers is something we 100% approve of and encourage, comfort is key.

1. Truth Or Dare

Keep it as tame or as risqué as you want, this is a great one for those early days of a new fling where you’re still feeling each other out…not literally, unfortunately. Want to know how tidy they are? Dare them to show you their sock drawer, always a good indicator. Want to know when their last relationship was without looking too keen? Ask them in the form of a Truth, hey, it’s all good fun and you’ll know sooner rather than later whether it’s worth pursuing PL (post lockdown).

2. Couples Cooking

Sharing culinary similarities is always a plus in any relationship. Decide on a basic recipe for you to both follow, use your one outing of the day to get the ingredients, crack open a bottle of vino and voila! You have a romantic evening for two sorted. Maybe even push the boat out and light some candles, ambience is key, even if you are hundreds of miles away from each other.

3. Movie Marathon

The eyes may be the window to the soul but we think films are a good substitute. Take it in turns to pick a genre or theme and then decide between the two of you which film to watch, even though it’s Netflix without the Chill it’s still a good idea for a chilled evening. Heads up though, if their first suggestion is Shutter Island maybe bow out unless that’s your thing, we don’t judge.

4. Sweat It Out

Normally the last place we’d want our date to see us is post HIIT class looking like a wheezing, asthmatic tomato but in the comfort of your own home, you can do a fun workout together with minimal embarrassment. Just make sure you place your phone at your best angle and hit the workout. You’ll both be sweaty messes at the end and there will be no need to worry about that post-workout look.

5. Play an Online Game

If you’re like us you’re low-key obsessed with Animal Crossing, so why not join up and catch some fish together before getting shouted at by Tom Nook? Or if that’s not your style, download the Houseparty app and play Heads Up or Pictionary for some light-hearted entertainment. Not everything has to be super romantic.
