In a Christmas gift come early, the 2024 Fashion Awards (TFA), presented by Pandora, will be fulfilling our Christmas wishes on Monday the 2nd of December at the world-famous Royal Albert Hall. The British Fashion Council (BFC) has also announced that British broadcaster and entrepreneur Maya Jama and musical artist Kojey Radical will return as beloved co-hosts for the awards, guiding us through an evening that celebrates the role of fashion at the crux of culture and entertainment, spotlighting creative talent and telling the stories of the past year in fashion.

TFA have always excelled in bringing together a global community in London, the home of fashion creativity. Working to amplify leaders of change, celebrate excellence in creativity as well as support the next generation of creative talent, this event is also the primary fundraiser of the BFC Foundation which works endlessly to promote the future of British fashion through focusing on education, grant-giving and business mentoring. Through a focus on diversity, equality, inclusion, and belonging, the BFC enables responsible growth through a dynamic and unified community that advocates for creativity, innovation, and collectively supports the industry to grow and talent to gain access. TFA is the primary fundraiser for the BFC Foundation, once again highlighting its importance not only culturally, but for the good of the creative youth.

So, in case you’ve been living under a rock, let’s meet this year’s TFA presenters! The gorgeous Maya Jama, host of mainstream television and radio shows including everyone’s favourite guilty pleasure, Love Island, has become a household name and style icon. Not only stealing our hearts on-screen, but she has also established herself as an avid supporter of British fashion and emerging creatives, even dabbling in design herself and launching a successful clothing collection with Pretty Little Thing in June 2018, followed by a second collection in February 2019 and in December 2020 launching her own face and eye masks range, MIJ Masks, with the first release selling out within 24 hours. In May 2024, Maya joined the BFC Foundation Advisory Committee, showcasing her continued commitment to supporting and championing British fashion.

Kojey Radical, British musician, creative director and mixed-media visual artist is one of the leading voices of a generation of artists and provocative storytellers. Specialising in blurring the boundaries between music genres including grime, hip hop, alternative rap and spoken word, this multi- award nominee, Kojey is an authentic and uncompromising creative force who continues to innovate both in his music and his style. The knowledge of arts and intertwining genres is especially prevalent in the fashion world, and we’re confident Kojey will once again be an expert voice and presenter this year.

Along with their 30th Anniversary coming up, Agent Provocateur have kicked off the festive season with a brand-new playful Christmas campaign starring couple Abby Clancy, model and podcaster, and her ex-footballer husband, Peter Crouch.

The festive short film was released on Wednesday 13th November, shot at The Marquis Cornwallis pub in London, and inspired by the brand’s 2015 “Love Me Tender” film.

Shot by Greg Williams in collaboration with Creative Director Sarah Shotton, the short film featured showstopping lingerie from AP’s Forever Collection, and draws on the brand’s London-cool DNA, trademark wit, and of course the must-have sensual lingerie.

Founded in 1994, Agent Provocateur’s campaign also stars long-time friends and collaborators, including an appearance from stage and screen star Jamie Winstone. Their focus is on empowering women and subverting the male gaze towards that by pushing boundaries as they continue to break ground with every collection.

]]> Drawing on her Italian and Dominican heritage to produce soulful beats with empowering lyrics, at just 28 years old, artist Yendry is rewriting the R&B scene. Rising to fame in 2012 after her success on the Italian X- Factor, Yendry’s emergence into the industry began as a teen. At an age most of us were singing into our mirrors, the multitalented model and singer was emerging as one of the most emotive and profound Dominican artists of our generation.

Yendry’s music is an authentic blend of rhythms that seek inspiration from tunes and instruments synonymous with her Italian/Dominican heritage. Her hit singles like ‘Nina’ draw influence from flamenco and reggaeton, creating a harmony of nostalgic beats with a modern R&B twist. Her most recent collaboration with Belgian- Colognese singer Lous and the Yakuza encapsulates nostalgia meeting modern charm. Their single ‘Masquerade’ – released earlier this year- was an inspiring feat. The single’s aim was to encourage humans to look beyond our exteriors to understand eachother on a deeper level, so it’s no surprise the collab reached over 600,000 listens on Spotify this month.

Not only does her music sound good, but Yendry’s top singles like ‘YOU’ and ‘Barrio’ speak to a generation of women fighting their oppression in society. Speaking to 1983 Magazine, the artist admitted how her hit song ‘El Diablo’ was written with an aim of bringing to light the double standards women face in society, claiming she hoped to ‘give a positive message to independent women’.

Aside from her female forward music, Yendry’s style is another reason to join the star’s thousands of fans. Recently in the press for her erotic Jean-Paul Gaultier looks at Paris Fashion Week, the star draws on artsy and outlandish fashion to fill her wardrobe. Favouring looks with a bold and colourful forefront, the star’s recent looks have featured leather trench coats, abstract prints, and daring sheer fabrics. Yendry isn’t afraid to make a statement through her clothing.

Here to inspire us to dabble in outlandish fashions (and probably take a trip to Urban Outfitters) we’ve gathered Yendry’s greatest looks to recreate at home.

Not afraid to show off her athletic figure, Yendry’s appearance at Balmain’s Paris Fashion show was sultry and modern. Pairing a lengthy leather trench over a cut-out tee and sheer trousers, the star’s look was inspired by Balmain’s classic and feminine house codes.

Bringing artwork from the Louvre onto the streets of Paris, Yendry’s Jean Paul Gaultier Mona Lisa look was a true work of art. Pairing khaki cargos with her staple black trench, this look brought art and fashion together for the ultimate Parisian look.

Proving her iconic Jean Paul Gaultier looks just don’t stop, Yendry showed us how to work the sheer look to perfection in a chiffon gown and brown leather jacket. Keeping her accessories on the subtle side, the look was paired with brown peep toe Amina Muaddi heels for her Paris solo performance.

Stepping away from the colourful layered looks the star is usually spotted in, Yendry mixed it up for her Jean Paul Gaultier front-row look in a maxi dress that mimicked the female anatomy. Sticking to a two-toned palette, the outfit was an elegant black and white look with an abstract twist.

Keeping things basic in blue, the star gave us a lesson in all things smart casual wearing a trench and trainer pairing. Adding a dash of primary colour to her look, Yendry wore co-ordinated royal blue trainers and a cosy sweater.

In a promotional post for her collaboration with Puma, Yendry wore blue crushed velvet flares with a slit cropped tee. In a regal yet sporty setting, the star posed with a basketball in platform sneakers that matched the athletic scene.

Not keeping her love of green a secret, Yendry incorporated her favourite shade into a Columbian nighttime look. Sporting knee-high green boots with a mesh sequined dress, this look is giving us major Friday night outfit inspiration.

Stripping it back to basics, the star gave us casual wear inspiration in her slit leg Marco Rambaldi dress. Keeping the look down to earth, the star paired the cream gown with chunky sneakers as she posed by a vintage car.

For a cool khaki look, Yendry’s monochromatic outfit is the ultimate street style look. With a unique shorts over trouser pairing, the star layered the look to perfection with a baggy bomber and cropped black tee.

From being an independent artist, producing creative and next level visuals, to serving looks on every occasion, Tinashe is a modern day style icon. We wanted to take a deep delve into her recent music and fashion, celebrating the incredible artist she is. 

‘333’ era

Coming as Tinashe’s fifth studio release, ‘333’ is perhaps her most creative project yet. Released independently without a major label, her album has been matched with critical acclaim and warm response from fans. 

One of our favourite looks from this era has got to be the ‘Naturally’ music video, where Tinashe transformed into a killer shepherdess and a crazed cowgirl on the hunt for a bloody valentine. 

‘X’ is also a standout moment, with Tinashe living out her biker girl fantasy whilst performing slick choreo. 

‘333’ saw Tinashe embark on a tour, which of course included various show stopping outfits that we had to include! Pink feathers, yellow carnival inspired outfits and abstract print bodysuits are just a few of Tinashe’s fabulous tour outfits.

When looking through Tinashe’s Instagram feed, you can’t help but notice the vibrant accessories worn by the songstress. From Y2k butterfly clips to larger than life shades, we are obsessed!

Nothing says Tinashe more than a barlette showing off her incredible figure. Whether worn in a classy beige shade or a bright colour, this is a style that always stands out.

]]> Yes, you heard right … Euphoria returns for season 2!

The much-loved teen drama will finally be returning to our screens in January 2022 after a delay in production due to the pandemic. Sharing the teaser clip on her Instagram account, Emmy Award winning actress, Zendaya, simply captioned the post “EUPHORIA SEASON 2. JANUARY 9.”, need she say more?

In the last season of the long-awaited hit show we were treated to an array of deep friendships, emotional personal journeys and toxic relationships, whilst we got to know a group of high school students who were exploring themes of love, drugs, identity and other complex issues, in the most raw and real of ways. The trailer for season 2 teases the same wild parties, intense violence and desirable fashion that we were treated to in season 1, but on a much larger scale. How lucky are we!

For the upcoming season, we reunite with familiar faces in the form of Hunter Schafer and Sydney Sweenie’s characters, Jules and Cassie, as well as being introduced to newbie, Dominic Fike, who joins the star-studded cast to tell the difficult stories of teen-hood that we love and know so well.

Alongside its spot-on casting and stellar performances, Euphoria has been praised for its on the mark costume choices which helped to portray each character and tell the story so well, while inspiring hundreds of the Gen Z style crew who instantly wanted to go and recreate the looks they had seen on screen for themselves. Best known for her casual and slouchy ‘fits, Zendaya’s character, Rue, undoubtedly influenced the effortless street style of the style stars we see today. Likewise, the character of Maddy, played by Alexa Demie, perfectly mastered the Y2K look that has been adopted by many as of late, through baby pink tracksuits and tight cut-out two pieces, the nostalgic style was truly bought back to life. In one of the episodes Demie was even spotted wearing the iconic purple Lucid set by cult-favourite label, I.AM.GIA, which saw sales skyrocket, naturally.

As the star of the show that she is, we are going to take a look back at some of Rue’s best style moments from season 1 of Euphoria and show you how you can get the look too.

This classic look from Rue is relaxed and easygoing and showcases the oversized red hoodie that we so often see her wearing in the show. Styled with a baggy slogan tee, this outfit epitomises the style of Rue and it couldn’t be easier to work it into your own wardrobe.

In another truly rue oversized ‘fit, here we see the character in her everyday jeans and converse with a large duster style coat thrown over the top. Slouchy coats are so in right now and they can really give a casual look a bit of an upgrade.

While Rue may shy away from the somewhat revealing clothes that the rest of her cast mates are often found wearing, she certainly doesn’t shy away from patterns. This floral shirt and stripe tube top combo are just one example of the printed pieces the character likes to play around with. Adding patterns into your look is a great way to add a bit of character to something simple.

You’d be hard pressed to find a clip of Rue without her trusty hightop converse on that are a staple piece in so many of her looks. The classic shoe makes a versatile and trendy addition to any outfit. Pair with your choice of trousers and of course a cosy knit to complete your Rue inspired ‘fit for winter.

In a rare party piece from Rue, the character tunes in with her androgynous style, opting for a trendy two-piece suit. The purple look is the perfect party update on Rue’s regular go-to jeans and a tee.

The week of Haute Couture has been an inspiring one. A much-needed injection of fantasy was given to us in the form of glistening gowns, fine silks, and decadent runways. If you are wondering if such a way of dressing is reserved strictly for the runways, then we are here to tell you that it doesn’t have to be! Taking inspiration from the most-loved couturiers in the game, here are some ways you can induce a bit of Haute Couture into your everyday clothing.

  1. Christian Dior

Under the direction of Maria Grazia Chiuri, Dior’s mystical show was inspired by the magic world of tarot and all its cards. We saw baroque style ball gowns with made from the finest fabrics and adorned with zodiac inspired embroidery, amongst Dior’s more masculine designs of dark tailored suits and colourful organza blouses. Pairing a simple corset style shirt with an embellished headband for wearable glamour that can be altered between day and night.

2. Chanel

Chanel’s SS21 couture show, transported us to the celebration of a springtime wedding that saw shades of sugary pastels in flowing bridesmaid inspired dresses, using the signature Chanel tweed which is so recognisable to every fashion lovers’ eyes. For a more relaxed and contemporary play on Chanel’s charm, wearing a tweed inspired accessory such as a bucket hat or cross-body bag will give an edgy twist to your outfit, which can be paired with a pastel tee and mom jeans for a casual-luxe look.

3. Fendi

Kim Jones’ debut show for Fendi, showcased a killer cast of supermodels sporting an abundance of silk, transcendent dresses and iridescent two-piece suits, inspired by old English literature and classical Italian sculptures. Something that all the models had in common was the use of dramatically long Murano glass earrings and coordinating hairpieces. This tied all the looks together and complemented the natural hair and makeup styles, which created a nice contrast between a minimalist and maximalist aesthetic. Taking inspiration from this, some resin made barrette hair clips and dangly earrings can immediately take your look from dull to exciting.
