]]> We are absolutely enamoured by the newest Mac Cosmetics campaign for their hit Viva Glam line featuring the iconic Kim Petras. The campaign was spearheaded by the incredibly talented photographer Jack Bridgeland, who’s become known in recent years for his incredible, creative and colourful work. Kim has been breaking down boundaries that have been built by society for transgender women since she won her first Grammy in 2023, alongside her co-winner Sam smith. Grammy viewers noticed she was wearing a very identifiable shade of red lipstick during the award show, specifically a Mac lipstick. And just over a year later she’s made the incredible move of becoming one of their brand ambassadors, and on the brands 30thbirthday.

The campaign depicts Petras in a billion-dollar dress, literally. In the first of the two main campaign images she was dressed in an oversized pink Billion-dollar bill. She wears her signature long blonde Barbie like locks and a Mac signature red lip.  In the second she is buried in a pile of the iconic bullet shaped Mac Viva Glam lipsticks.

The shoot was creative directed by Lele Julianna alongside a talented team of makeup artists and set designers including Gilbert Soliz, Hair by Iggy, Harry Lambert and Thosmas Bird. The extremely talented team pulled together to create this iconic campaign raising $520 Million, the highest achievement of the Viva Glam range to date, supporting communities affected by HIV and AIDS.

The initiative plans to broaden its focus and drive equality across four main areas: Sexual equality, gender equality, racial and environmental equality. The line-up of Iconic Viva Glam ambassadors goes back as far as 1994 including icons line Chloë Sevigny, Dita Von Teese, Fergie and Sia.

]]> The fairy-tale grunge aesthetic which transformed the models partaking in Sohee Park’s Haute Couture collection was a dream come true. The striking dark lip pigments and soft pink eye looks were, of course, created using KVD beauty. The contrast of beauty looks in the show has convinced us that KVD is the perfect make-up brand for bringing your creative flares and imagination to life.

The looks were created to accompany and flatter newcomer designer, Sohee Park’s new breath-taking collection, and they did just that. Crafted by MUA, Bea Sweet, with the assistance of the UK KVD Beauty Events Team, powerful grungy makeup looks effortlessly supported the Haute Couture designs.

Below we have included the products used to create these masterpieces and some descriptions as to how we can also achieve these showstopping looks. 

Metallic Pink Eyes and a Deep Red Lip 

The first look that we are obsessed with by KVD Beauty is all about metallic pink eyes and bold red lips. 

This look includes a dream-like pink that is diffused into the contours of the eyes and pulled down into the cheeks to create an almost ombre effect with the model’s skin tone. To create these alluring eyes, Bea used the KVD Magenta Super Pomade and Mod Con Gel blush in Glasscade. 

To contrast the eyes, Bea used a sharp deep crimson lip that was custom mixed for each model using different shades of red and black Everlasting hyperlight Liquid lipsticks.

The model styled the Good Apple Foundation Balm alongside the Lock it Loose Powder to get that light effortless coverage that she rocks so well.

Sparkling Silver and Brown Ombre with Red Cherry Lips

This next look is truly mesmerising! The ombre eyes have a fusion of silver glitter and warm golden brown which makes this eye make-up really stand out and flatter the model’s eyes gorgeously. 

Bea coined this look as a ‘taupe and walnut eye’ that she smoked and smudged using the KVD Go Big or Go Home Mascara. She then highlighted the look with gold tones of the KVD Dazzle Sticks in Electro Bolt and Hail Surge. 

The make-up look also included the Mod Con Gel blush in Glowlita to create a stained blush that ties the make-up together beautifully. 

Finally, for the finishing touch, Bea used a deep crimson lip that was also like the previous look, custom mixed for the model using different shades of red and black Everlasting Hyperlight Liquid Lipsticks. 

The make-up looks created by Bea and the KVD Beauty Events Team are mesmerising and flamboyant. They are great looks to style if you are after a bold look that demands attention and oozes power.

In its 26-year history of bringing us timeless streetwear drops and showering our town in its iconic red and white logo, Supreme New York, the hype fashion brand, has collaborated with the most sought-after luxury make-up artist, the visionary Pat McGrath.

Synonymous with Supreme’s history of turning everyday items into a limited-edition piece, the iconic duo are launching a red with a blue under-tone matte lipstick. Housed in Supremes iconic white-on-red colour palette and embossed with a pair of McGrath gold lips. The perfect emergence of both of the brand’s famous labels.

Named as an ‘iconic red’ by McGrath herself, the new shade will be released in McGrath’s signature MatteTrance formula in a singular shade, appropriately named “Supreme”. While featured in a Matte formula, we are not seeing any dry pouts here. Named as a ‘high-intensity hydrating pigment’ it will give concentrated colour on the lips that won’t be going anywhere. Better yet, it’s will be incorporated as part of the brand’s Fall/Winter2020 collaboration. So, expect to see a lot of red lips on the catwalk this season.

Unsurprisingly, the new drop has created a frenzy for the beauty community across social who are burning to get their hands on the latest drop. While @supremenewyork has kept quite across their Insta, @patmcgrathreal has broadcasted her feed with images and cultured teaser videos expressing the meaning behind the new bold lipstick.

Supreme is iconic for their hot- releases, never failing to sell out in a number of days, so we expect nothing less for this collab. This launch will go far beyond just another collector’s item. It will last in time as Supremes first-ever beauty collaboration.
