We at VOIR keep an avid eye on the world of A-list beauty treatments and were so intrigued to see the sheer volume of celebs dabbling in Oxylight Facials. Oxylight facials are a totally non-invasive procedure that combines various cutting-edge skincare technologies like LED light, high-pressure oxygen and negative pressure therapy systems.  One of the reasons this treatment in particular is having a major moment in the limelight is because of its versatility due to the variety of technologies used.

Whether you are struggling with fine lines, wrinkles, acne, scars, hyperpigmentation, enlarged pores, sagging skin and other signs of ageing, this 90-minute treatment is your new fairy godmother of skincare.

In recent years Oxylight Facials have been the particularly favoured facials for red carpet and everyday alike by the rich and famous, most notably including Madonna. Back in 2017 when it surfaced that Madonna was an Oxylight superfan, several articles spoke about it stating it was “a supercharged, state-of-the-art facial that employs more than one skincare technology” and a “complete workout for the skin”. GA Clinic offers VIP treatments due to the demand for A-listers. The Oxylight Facial incorporates the basics of a facial with these far more cutting-edge treatments to target a wide field of skin concerns. 

The facial was broken down into steps and products by Justyna for us every step of the way making it so much easier to understand. She first focused on giving the skin an antioxidant boost, that aims to brighten, refresh, and rejuvenate the complexion. This was done by using a lotion, serum and mask as well as, can you believe it, placenta serum, which helps with the post-inflammatory marks and boosts the healing processes of the skin.

Among the many currently well-known and commonly used antioxidants are coenzyme Q10, polyphenols, vitamin C, and lipoic acid, however, platinum is proven to be the most powerful antioxidant. Many researchers support platinum over other antioxidants as the “Final Weapon” when it comes to skin rejuvenation. Platinum works against all forms of active oxygen and acts as a catalyst which means it doesn’t lose its activity once they react with oxidants and it remains active as long as it stays in the skin.

The Oxylight Facial starts with microdermabrasion and lymphatic drainage, it then moves onto use an ultrasound on the skin to target deep hydration and utilizes microcurrents to lift and tighten the muscles – over time our muscles loosen and begin to sag, and this facial tones and tightens them right back up.

The treatment also included oxygen infusion, which is built to be as refreshing as the air in the Alps and targets blackheads and discolouration. Justyna recommended this facial be done 1-2 times a week for 8 sessions to achieve the most dramatic and perfect results.

We feel like this is the holy grail of skincare treatments. This magic cocktail of LED light therapy, oxygen infusion, microcurrent stimulation, and gentle exfoliation is the perfect mix of technologies. The facial stimulates collagen production and promotes cell regeneration. This helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and texture, resulting in smoother and more youthful-looking skin.

The collection housed a mixture of neutrals along with bold, signature RL colours such as green, orange, and blue. A standout moment was a white, crochet halter top and lace skirt, embodying timeless elegance, paired with statement jewellery and oversized belts that nodded to Western motifs. Willy Chavarria: A Bold Political Statement

Willy Chavarria’s show was one of the most talked-about events of NYFW. Known for his streetwear with a social conscience, Chavarria continued to explore themes of cultural identity, inclusion, and activism.Chavarria chose a disused bank on New York’s Wall Street, a potent symbol of American power and wealth, to present his latest collection, titled ‘América’.

Standout Looks: The Spring/Summer 2025 collection featured oversized silhouettes, sharp tailoring, and powerful statements through graphic prints and slogans. With a very utilitarian, sportswear theme to the collection, looks consisted of cargo trousers, pockets, keys attached to belt loops, sports jackets, and Adidas logos. One of the standout pieces was a pair of voluminous black trousers, worn with a black sports jersey, and powerful, white shirt collar peeking over the top, delivering a strong message of empowerment and an ode to the theme of Americana and the mix of sportswear and formal wear. Another notable look was a long, sheer dress with frills as the sleeves and collar, a simple yet elegant look, made more striking when modelled on a male model down the runway.

Kim Shui: A Fusion Of East And West

Kim Shui delivered a dynamic collection that blended her multicultural background with a contemporary edge. Known for her sexy, body-hugging silhouettes and eclectic prints, the designer did not disappoint.

Off-White: A New Era Of Streetwear Luxury

Off-White’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection, under the creative direction of Ibrahim Kamara, pushed the boundaries of streetwear while maintaining the brand’s signature edgy aesthetic. Christian Cowen: A Modern Whodunnit

Christian Cowan’s Spring 2025 Ready-to-Wear collection was a showstopper at New York Fashion Week, bringing his signature flair for drama, fun, and unapologetic glamour to the runway. Cowan opted for black, silver, and cobalt blue palette, showcasing some powerhouse tailoring and creativity with different materials and cutouts.

Standout Looks: Looking at Cowan’s flare for tailoring, one of the standout looks offered a black, satin, 3-piece suit, consisting of a long-line blazer with exaggerated white cuffs, straight-leg trousers, and a lacey, micro-bralette – adding a touch of the feminine to an otherwise masculine ensemble. Another look we saw grace the runway was a satin, cobalt suit, with a cravat and metal rose fastening the suit – a detail that Cowan himself chose to wear during his appearance at the end of the show.

Coach: A Playful Tribute To Classic America

For Spring 2025, Coach creative director Stuart Vevers delivered a collection that beautifully blended the brand’s heritage with a fresh, modern twist. Standout Looks: One of materials we saw frequently used in the Coach show was brown leather, an ode to the 1940’s US army uniform. The utilitarian look cropped up throughout the runway, seen in jackets, skirts, trousers, and blazers. Even the classic aviator-style jacket was seen, paired with a satin, brown dress. Again, with a strong reference of Americana, we saw denim flood the Coach show, with classic denim jackets, high-cut jeans, even paired together in a y2k-inspired double denim look!

Standout Looks: Stripes were heavy on this runway, amongst the stripes we saw, a favourite was a blue and white, striped maxi dress with a slash neckline and a frayed, torn hemline. This detail of fraying occurred frequently throughout the show, particularly in their knitted designs. Another standout was a textured, fringed, high-low skirt in a neutral ivory, paired with a crisp, oxford shirt in white. This look also featured in black, showcasing a contrasting design between masculinity and femininity. A leather trench coat worn over a midi dress, with a pop of bright fuchsia feathers blended softness with structure.

Rather than the eyes fixating on a bold jacket which would encompass the gaze, the designer is prompting you to dig a little deeper and take in the outfit as a whole.

The autumn season has always been the time to experiment with layering, textures, colours, and designs, and 2024 is sticking to that tradition with the next modern twist on a classic style.

OpéraSPORT’s use of silk in particular expertly utilises the material’s natural shine to blend an association between high-class fabrics and Lycra active wear.

Sinéad O’Dwyer

Winner of the 2024 Zalando Visionary Award, Sinéad O’Dwyer is a forerunner in the integration of the feminine and the tough to expertly curate an elegant yet almost industrial design.

However, its O’Dwyer’s unique take on the human body itself that sets her apart from the crowd. “Diverse bodies are at the core of their design process, from research and development to the final product. This passion and care for the human body in all its iterations and their radical approach to design, sampling and production is what makes them unique” reads the brochure for SS25 at Copenhagen Fashion Week. O’Dwyer manages to almost make the clothes secondary to the model, instead showcasing the beauty of the human form first and foremost in a celebration of natural curves and beauty Aphrodite would be proud of.

To do this, the pieces are subtle and carefully designed to not overwhelm the model, but instead accentuate form and colour by focussing on earth tones with highlights of a deep blue denim in a gorgeous homage to the Earth.

Frederik Berner Kühl is a fantastic up-and-coming talent diving into a traditional Scandi aesthetic with an elevated, modern approach that reads as sophisticated and cultured. Striving to convey his vision in ultimate materiality, Kühl focuses on grey-scale tones to allow his explorational textures and fabrics to speak for themselves, driving the pieces.

Creating menswear with a signature Danish sensibility, his SS25 runway showcased practical coats and jackets for next spring and summer, among expert layering to elude style and functionality.

One of the first designers that comes to mind when we think about gender fluidity in fashion is the incredibly talented Willy Chavarria. Chavarria is currently senior vice president of design at Calvin Klein and chief creative officer at his own brand. He’s become known for intertwining current issues in politics as well as race and sexuality into his design.
