]]> The second collaboration between Canadian luxury brand Moose Knuckles and TELFAR, a New York based genderless brand has launched. This time we are seeing the 24-piece capsule collection focus on wrapping up those living in the cold cities. This is a super exciting collaboration for both parties as they venture into familiar and new territories.

Both brands have strong values and different strengths, which make this pairing unstoppable. The durability, heritage and long-standing craftsmanship of Moose and Knuckles allows a strong sense of reliability and trust of the brand. Their expertise of outerwear and luxury fashion is unmatched and globally recognised. However, TELFAR brings new, unseen, boundary pushing styles into the industry which is shaping fashion’s future. The perseverance and strong determination of the brand’s origins suggests now they have burst onto the scene, they are going nowhere. The collaboration of brand values, strengths, creativity and expertise, therefore create something very special and very strong.

The vision of creating a collection to dress those bracing the city cold has been perfectly summed up. We love what founder, Telfar Clemens, has to say on the new launch: “In New York City, coats are basically your car. So, if you work for yourself your coat is also your place of business. 

“These essentially are coats for minding your business.”

The importance of city goers keeping warm is paramount to the two brands’ joint collaboration.

The collection features items such as the classic weather-resistant bomber jacket (trimmed in lamb shearling or fox fur) and matching quilted sweatsuits. TELFAR’s monogram will be quilted and embroidered on collection items and colourways of black, gold and silver will be available. An extensive shopping bag range will also be available and include small, medium and large sizes in down-filled leather and nylon. December 8th marks an exciting day as the limited-edition capsule clothing collection from Champion and hip-hop legends, Beastie Boys, drops. The collaboration celebrates 30-years of Beastie Boys’ studio album, Check Your Head, and delves back into the iconic 90s scene of hip-hop and fashion. The band’s iconic third album, released in 1992, was a sign of the times for New York’s hip-hop environment. This collaboration will allow us to step back in time and experience the nostalgia of 90s music and fashion, while living in the present.

The collection will be globally available from the 8th and will feature variations of the iconic Champion Reverse Weave sweatshirt as well as t-shirts in black, white, and grey colourways. The 17-piece collection will also take influence from the band, the album, and the hip-hop scene of 1990s New York.

Both Champion and Beastie Boys were significant shapers of the 1990s and so this collaboration could not be better fitted. What better way to reminisce, or experience the decade for the first time by exploring what the 90s inspired limited-edition range has to offer? The hip-hop culture of the 90s went hand-in-hand with Champion, as during this time they produced all NBA uniforms as well as being a brand with huge streetwear influence. Beastie Boys were also paramount players within the subculture at this time and still influence fashion today. The pairing of the streetwear giant and the influential music group is one written in the stars.

Ganni and Alhuwalia are no strangers to each other, with the brands having collaborated previously, and now they are back together with their second denim collection. With the focus of this collection being on how everything has been produced using leftover materials, the two brands have shown just how versatile older materials can be and how they can be used to bring entirely new garments to life. The collection centres around repurposed denim and also embraces a significantly 90s style to give the garments just an extra tinge of nostalgia and familiarity.

Gigi x Frankies

Time now for a sneak peek at a collection that’s still a few weeks away, but absolutely worth keeping on the radar. Gigi Hadid has teamed up with bikini brand Frankies for a collection of swimwear and loungewear inspired by Gigi’s farming roots in her home of Pennsylvania. The collection is made up of flowery and flirty pieces adorned with bows, ruffles and coming in a variety of pleasing pastels, giving everything a distinctly soft and gentle feel. The campaign echoes that gentle nature too, being set in an American farmland and forest that couldn’t be more cottagecore if it tried! The first round of the collection drops on May 11th, with a second round dropping on June 2nd so get those dates marked down and be at the front of the queue for this one!
