Issue 16 was an iconic moment in the Voir Fashion timeline in that we featured an exclusive article on the global phenomenon known as Beyoncé. The musical artist had recently launched a new athleisure label called Ivy Park, which coincided nicely with Voir’s appraisal for all things street, and a dedicated “Word on the Street” Issue. What made this feature so poignant and timely was the fact that the boxing legend Mohammad Ali had recently passed away, and we therefore felt it befitting as a tribute to his lyrics, and a nod to Queen Bey’s charisma to adopt the mantra “Float like a Butterfly, Sting like a Bee”.
