Thanks to TikTok, most of us can’t go a day without singing ‘Carole Baskin, killed her husband, whacked him’ to the tune of Megan Thee Stallion’s, ‘Savage’. Joe Exotic a.k.a The Tiger King has become a living meme thanks to the Netflix documentary series portraying his life and his battle with Carole Baskin, who may or may not have killed her husband, feeding him to the tigers. The show epitomises the weird and wonderful American charm and has you gasping at every twist and turn in Joe’s story. The name, the look, the story- a man bringing people together during these isolating times and bringing with him a plethora of memes. His bleach mullet, flamboyant shirts and ear piercings have become iconic- even tempting me to hack my own hair off and bleach it during isolation (someone take the scissors away from me, please). A style icon and legend, there’s no doubt that we’re taking some fashion inspo from him.
