Frankies Bikinis took to Instagram yesterday to announce the collaboration that we never knew we needed; Sydney Sweeney x Frankies Bikinis. Remember this time last year when we were all losing our minds over Cassie’s hot pink one-piece in *that* Euphoria scene. Well, the swimsuit in question came courtesy of none other than Frankies Bikinis.

Following the viral success of Cassie’s hot tub look, it comes as no surprise that the Sydney Sweeney x Frankies Bikinis collab is set to be the celebrity fashion drop of the year. When you consider both Sydney Sweeney’s success working with high fashion brands such as Miu Miu and the popularity of Frankies Bikinis’ past collaborations with Gigi Hadid, Hailee Steinfeld and Naomi Osaka, this collab is bound to be a hit. From what we have seen of the collection so far, the looks are set to be highly feminine and romantic, a brand image that has been curated around Sydney since her depiction of the hopeless romantic Cassie Howard in HBO’s Euphoria. The promotional video follows Sydney around a romantic European estate in an intimate film that recreates the look of a home video shot by a loved one. This feeling of romance and intimacy is continued in the collection itself as the video was captioned:

The pieces are full of frills and lace, some looks are so romantic that they appear bridal. One pattern was even designed from the lipstick stains left from Sydney’s kisses. Sydney and Frankie described the collection best themselves when sharing that the collection was “inspired by the girl who follows her heart”. This is a collection that truly expresses and celebrates the romance in femininity.

The first drop from the collection will be available from March 14^th, but if you miss out then don’t worry because there will be a second release in early April. If manage to bag some pieces from this collection, you’ll feel just like Cassie who has “never ever been happier”.

Since the launch of Euphoria, we have had an ongoing obsession with Alexa Demie. The makeup looks of the young American actress have taken over social media platforms, making her a source of inspiration for those who choose not to conform.

Growing up, Alexa was exposed to the beauty world by her mother who worked as a make-up artist for MAC cosmetics. Weirdly enough, years down the line, Alexa ended up being the face of the More Than Meets the Eye collection back in March 2020, when the beauty giant introduced new eye formulas through this campaign. The actress has also played a big role in the makeup looks she wore as Maddy Perez in season one of Euphoria, always doing her own signature winged liner.

While makeup is a big part of Alexa’s life and her skill and talent are what we love about her most, she has also had quite a few fashion moments we cannot ignore (both as Maddy Perez and herself). Just like with makeup, Alexa plays a lot with retro influences (mainly from the ‘90s and ‘70s) in her fashion styling.
