Rihanna was the star of the red carpet as all eyes were on her and A$ap Rocky wearing Christian Lacroix and Bottega Veneta. Her blue fur get up was a vintage Lacroix haute couture piece from FW 2002 and fell nothing short of Badgalriri’s signature style. Elevated with stacked silver necklaces and black leather gloves, she stole the show.

Co-host for the evening, Maya Jama dazzled us as she wore a stunning olive-green gown with cross over detailing at the top and embroidered flowers at the front. The silk flowing train also included intricate embroidery along with a fishnet trim encapsulating Connor Ives as a designer as we see his unexpected fabric combinations and striking colours first hand.

Jourdan Dunn served us a head-to-toe leopard print moment with Dior. The model chanelled her inner black-cat energy with the cat-eye lashes, and showed off her legs with the micro shorts, perfectly accompanying the blazer and long black gloves. The bakerboy cap finished off the look with a British essence for the British Fashion Awards.

Ashley Graham walked the carpet in a gorgeous black dress from David Koma’s first collection for Blumarine. The black dress included a sheer train to finish it off and a structured bodice showing off her figure. Graham, who had her VS debut earlier this year, finished the look off with a slicked back bun and all silver jewellery.

The stunning Halle Bailey wore a bespoke Ellie Misner dress and channelled her inner Disney princess on the red carpet. She arrived with a light and airy presence as she graced us in a couture piece draped in pearls and holographic cut outs mirroring when she starred as The Little Mermaid.

Alex Consani became the first transgender woman to win the Model of The Year award last night and as Voir puts it – made style accessible to women everywhere. She walked the carpet looking gorgeous in a Dilara Findikoglu moment and celebrated backstage in style after thanking the transgender models who came before her, paving the way for Consani to flourish.

Julia Fox joined Consani in supporting emerging designer Dilara Findikoglu, as she broke the internet in the custom dress. The white floor-length gown included sheer cut outs showing off Fox’s figure, and styled with a wet-look up do and icy makeup to tie everything together.

Chlöe Bailey (left) is pictured looking glamorous in an Atsuko Kudo black gown with a red accent in the bust area. The latex ensemble created a raw feminine energy, the pop of red giving depth to the outfit and her hair matching the vibe as it effortlessly shaped her face. The look was finished off with a silver diamond necklace as we were left with an undeniable serve on the carpet.

Simone Ashley, Bridgerton star stepped onto the carpet in a baby pink, strapless Prada gown. The coquette dress had different levels to it; from a short front to a long train at the back and was finished off with a matching pink bow on the bodice. Styled by Rebecca Corbin-Murray, Simone Ashley for sure had her girly moment on the runway in that dress, along with a slicked back hairstyle which was giving an iconic pixie cut at the front.

Ming Lee Simmons wore an undeniably daring look to the awards last night as she was pictured in a sheer chainmail dress. The floor length number was figure hugging and sleekly complemented by jet straight hair in a half up fashion and incredibly well contoured make-up. The look gave her a luxuriously fearless presence on the runway.

Munroe Bergdorf left Voir nothing short of speechless as she dominated the runway in a Patrick McDowell gown. The structured silhouette on the bodice broke off into a bubble skirt and was accompanied by a luxurious train graciously following her. The statement dress created a memorable bridal-like vibe which was sophisticated paired with dramatic flair.

Hunter Schafer

Hunter Schafer is one of the most daring dressers in Hollywood right now, and it always pays off. Wearing a bandeau that was (quite literally) as light as a feather and a silk maxi skirt to The Vanity Fair Oscar Party, she held onto her crown as the queen of avant-garde dressing. The look came courtesy of Ann Demeulemeester’s Fall 2023 collection, and it honestly looks like it was made for Hunter. 

Emily Ratajkowski 

Emily Ratajkowski is no stranger to the ‘naked dress’, from the Met Gala to running errands, Emily has proved that she can rock this look no matter the occasion. Last night was no different, wearing a shimmering sheer gown from Feben the model and author put a whole new spin on the look. Our favourite aspect of this look was the push and pull between what was on display and what was not, the contrast of the sheer material with the length of the dress, its high neck and gloved sleeves played with the notions of conservative or modest dressing.

Malala Yousafzai

Nobel Prize Laureate, Malala Yousafzai took to The Oscars red-carpet as an executive producer for Stranger at the Gate which was nominated for Best Documentary Short Film, just when you thought she couldn’t be any more inspirational. She wore a silver sequinned gown from Ralph Lauren and paired the glamorous look with a bold red lip. The best part of this look were the intricately placed crystals on the sleeve of the gown, highlighting the attention to detail that went into its design. 

Tems

Wearing a look from Ukrainian fashion house Lever Couture, Tems looked like the most high-fashion cloud you will ever see. The look defied gravity and looked so delicate yet structured. The way that the material flowed down through the skirt and up around Tems’ head gave an angelic feel to the look, as if the singer had just floated into the event on a cloud. Despite the ethereal nature of the look, it has caused some controversy. Fans took to Twitter to share their upset over the headpiece obstructing peoples view during the ceremony, but personally we would be honoured to have our view blocked by this look for a few hours. 

Simone Ashley

Bridgerton star, Simone Ashley, took to the Vanity Fair afterparty in a vibrant Nina Ricci look. The blue sequin gown cam courtesy of Harris Reed as the newest Creative Director for Nina Ricci and was full of his usual red-carpet flair. The look featured a dramatic slit up the skirt that had an oversized bow at the top that asymmetrically matched the one at the top of the gown’s one shoulder. We may know her as the Viscountess Bridgerton, but this look was pure modern Cinderella.

Kendall Jenner

Kendall Jenner looked like an Oscar brought to life at last night’s afterparty. The model wore a gold archival look from Jean Paul Gaultier’s 2008 Spring/Summer collection. The look was paired with a casual up-do and minimal makeup to let the mermaid-inspired dress do the talking. 

Janelle Monáe

Janelle Monáe opted for a custom Vera Wang gown for this year’s Academy Awards, a look that featured a black velvet bustier and loosely draped orange skirt. This look stood out in a sea of more traditional gowns, which is one of the things that we love the most about Janelle Monáe’s red-carpet looks.

Florence Pugh

Florence Pugh continued her immaculate partnership with Valentino for this year’s Oscars wearing one of the most dramatic looks of the night. Maison Valentino took to Instagram to share the look, describing it as “a beige taffeta draped dress, black cotton faille bows and a black stretch cady culotte”. But one thing we have to talk about is the hair; at the BAFTAs last month Miss Flo perfectly matched her spiky bun to the tulle ruffles of her Nina Ricci gown, a styling decision that was pure genius, and let me tell you, she’s done it again. For the Oscar’s Florence’s sleek up-do mimicked the billowing sleeves of her gown, perfectly tying the beauty look in with the outfit. 

Winnie Harlow

Winnie Harlow brought some fun to the Oscars last night with her neon yellow Giorigo Armani gown. While the silhouette was classic, the colour alone made the look standout. Featuring a crystal encrusted black flower on the left shoulder and a matching zip running just off-centre, the look capitalised on small details, making a look that was simple, yet intentional.

Halle Bailey

Halle Bailey proved that she is the people’s Ariel in a aqua-blue tulle gown at this year’s Oscars. The delicate ball-gown confirmed her status as a real-life Disney princess as the singer and actress was glowing down the red-carpet. This look just made us really excited for The Little Mermaid to come out in May.

Lady Gaga

2019 Oscar winner Lady Gaga took to the red-carpet last night and gave a surprise performance during the ceremony. While she may not have won Best Original Song this year, she definitely won on the red-carpet. Lady Gaga wore a Versace gown that was only presented on the runway last Thursday. The look featured a sheer bodice that connected to the dropped waistline of the A-line skirt in an exciting re-imagination of the classic ballgown. 

Rihanna

Rihanna is out here defending her crown as our best dressed celebrity in a custom Alaïa dress designed by Pieter Mulier. The look was unlike anything else we saw that night and made us so grateful to have Rihanna back on our red-carpets. The look was composed of a brown turtleneck with a leather bra and skirt layered over the top, something that does not sound red-carpet worthy but proves you wrong the instant that you see it.

Cara Delevingne

Cara Delevingne’s look honestly left us speechless, which is ok because the red Elie Saab ballgown really does speak for itself. Everything about it was perfect, from the dramatic bow on the shoulder to the way that the look draped around the waist into the voluptuous skirt, and don’t even get us started on the leg slit. At this rate, Cara will be reclaiming her position as fashion’s favourite it-girl very quickly. 

Jenny Slate

Actress Jenny Slate attended the 95^th Academy Awards with co-star Marcel in a custom Thom Browne look. The strapless gown was perfectly accessorised with a micro-cropped blazer that really accentuated the hourglass silhouette that the dress’ bodice created. And while we’re on the topic, we have to say that for a shell Marcel was pretty well dressed too.

Her natural eyes and skin allowed her dramatic facial makeup of patterns on her forehead and nose to demand attention. The eye-catching look is bold and unique and is truly mesmerising as it evokes a dramatic and empowering image that the singer rocks so well. To create this show-stopping look, eyeshadow can be used to recreate the unique patterns that the songwriter styled across her face. To add a festive spin to the look, the Victoria Beckham Lid Lustre eyeshadow which has a sparkly tone to it can dress this look up and make it more dazzling.

Florence Pugh

Florence Pugh bought the festive season alive with her red glamorous Valentino gown and those striking dark red lips. The star wore a gorgeous simple make-up look with natural skin, fake lashes and voluptuous red lipstick that helped tie the entire look together. Red lips are always on trend and are a great way to make any look sexier and more sophisticated. Miss Pugh’s darker shade to the red lip combo adds a level of maturity to the look and makes it sultrier and more dramatic. The Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Colour in the shade Blackberry matches Miss Pugh’s lips perfectly and could be an ideal stocking filler for this Christmas season.

Shy Girl

The gorgeous Shy Girl effortlessly styled a look by Ferragamo which saw her as a vision in white alongside her beautiful simplistic make-up look. The au natural lip shade alongside the subtle smokey eye gave off an angelic persona to her look. The lack of defined brows made her beautiful brown eyes and eye make pop and accentuated her face beautifully. The glossy lips were the final touch to finishing this look off as they allowed her eyes to glisten beautifully. The darkness at the wing of the eyes allowed a feline eye shape to form which dramatized the look and made her both angelic and mysterious. Smudged brown eyeshadow can be replicated easily with Beauty Bay Nude pallet and a brown pencil eyeliner to create this feline look.

Elsa Hosk

The stunning Elsa Hosk owned the cold girl winter aesthetic in her make-up look and outfit as her make-up screamed winter and snow. The frosty eyes accentuated her blonde hair and blue eyes making her features tie together perfectly. The bold eyeliner that accompanied the shimmer eyeshadow provides both drama and a doe-eyed effect. Her nude lips allow the eyes to pop effortlessly, and the subtle rosy cheeks scream cold girl winter make-up, providing the allure that she had just stepped off a winter Christmas movie set. The Benefit Flora Rose Tinted Lip and Cheek tint is a gorgeous product that can be used to add a frosty tone blush to one’s make-up routine as it is both subtle but rosy in colour making your cheeks look natural but noticeable just like Miss Hosk.

Jessica Wang styled an eye-catching combo by Marc Jacobs and truly demanded attention with her matching eyeshadows that accompanied the dress and the sexy nude pink lips that accompanied her look so well. The beauty had a fierce but thin eyeliner that accompanied her popping eyeshadow which both added drama to her look but also a fun disco aesthetic with the bright pop of colour. Once again, she championed natural dewy skin and minimal contouring and blush which truly allowed her eyes to do the talking. The subtle gloss to the lips allowed them to look plump and luscious and made her look sexy but fun and light.

Simone Ashley

Lastly, the stunning Simone Ashley with her shimmering goddess-style look and wet sexy hair is one that demanded the attention of the masses. The actress rocked a shimmery natural lip accompanied by silver eyeshadow that complimented her figure-hugging dress so well. Her wet-looking hair added an aspect of effortless sexiness to the look and her natural make-up once again allowed the eyes and the dress to do the talking. Her wet hair aesthetic can be easily replicated by using a styling gel or a glossing spray to create the wet look that she styles so effortlessly. She shimmered and glowed with this makeup look and her natural fluffy brows provided a very au natural and effortless make-up look for the actress.
