The Marc Jacobs sub-brand of has been operating a direct-to-consumer approach, producing limited and usually themed collections sold online. Previous collections have featured collaborations with different organisations and groups, such as: a shoe collection with Dr Martens, a line of fairy wings with Anna Sui, and plush toys with Chinese artist Nhozagri. Heaven’s campaigns have featured celebs like Doja Cat, Nicki Minaj, and Pamela Anderson.

Heaven launched in 2020, with creative director Ava Nirui at the helm. The 30-year-old Aussie’s first collaboration with Jacobs was the satirical ‘Mark Jacobes’ hoodies, mocking bootleg knockoffs of designer products.

Heaven is inspired by the subcultures of the 90s, especially the grunge fashion wave that emerged in Seattle. Grunge is not unfamiliar to Marc Jacobs, whose Perry Ellis SS93 collection brought the style to the runway, showcasing plaid skirts, micro cardigans, and lots of layering reminiscent of today’s UNIF.

90’s style brings a sense of nostalgia to millennials but appeals more to Gen-Z, who romanticise the aesthetic of a time they didn’t experience. Heaven’s collections are all gender fluid and feature notable ‘y2k’ styles like baby tees, mohair knits, mini skirts, and baggy sweatshirts. The collections usually sell out fast and are priced on the higher end, with a t-shirt retailing for £130.

The store is located on 10 Brewer Street in London’s trendy Soho district, known for its nightlife, LGBTQIA+ community, theatres, clubs, and restaurants. Directly under the former Raymond Revuebar stripclub, the store is recognisable with its kitschy design: pink carpet, concrete floors, and LED lights, with multicolour coat hangers, posters, and memorabilia like magazines and toys dotted around the shop floor.

A selection of curated books and magazines from Climax will attract London’s edgy skate, fashion, and creative scenes, and create a fun and interactive in-person shopping experience. The store will get a makeover every month as a new collection drops; this month is centred around the Deftones collection that dropped with a concert in NYC last week.

For our readers who aren’t near the capitol fear not, there are rumours for more nationwide stores to follow so don’t worry you won’t be missing out on any of the action. 

In March, the bright lights of this new store will be welcoming in customers eager to get their hands on some unmissable beauty products. The store is set to have a huge range of products that will include over 140 brands that are exclusive to Sephora UK such as GXVE by Gwen Stephani, Ilia, Milk, Patrick Starr, and Make-up by Mario. 

This is a landmark moment for beauty fans across the country as they now have more accessibility to their favourite brands that exclusively deal with Sephora. Gone are the days of having to deal with the issues of importing their products from America and paying delivery as well as tax charges.  

Sephora has been available online for UK customers since October, but this new store opening is a major deal as it’s been 17 years since the beauty retailer closed its doors of their UK stores. Ever since then, we’ve been robbed of the chance to experience the Sephora aesthetic and purchase their products on home soil, but luckily that’s all changed now!  

The store will of course be wrapped in the iconic Sephora black and white stripes with florescent lighting in the interior, perfect to test out your new makeup buys.  

They have designed the new stores with Gen-Z in mind as Sephora is recognising how the influencing ladder is being turned upside down. The younger generation is extremely knowledgeable about the beauty industry and is now becoming a bigger influence on their mothers and peers than other groups who previously dominated the beauty space. 

The brand’s president Sylvie Moreau revealed that this new store is “Sephora 4.0, tailored to the UK market. We feel makeup is undeserved here in the UK, so there will be a focus on skincare as well as makeup.” 

They plan to create a world where everybody can have the opportunity to express, define and unleash their own extraordinary beauty.  

Sephora opening stores again in the UK is incredible, and we will be first in line on opening day to get some of our favourite beauty products.

Opening as a leather luggage shop in 1921, the Gucci brand has gone through numerous transformations. Speaking to Elle, Michele described the centennial as ‘an opportunity to bear witness to Gucci’s eternal vitality that year after year, is reborn’. From Dapper Dan’s impact popularising the double ‘G’ monogram, to Tom Ford’s revival of the house through provocative collections, and finally, Michele’s eccentric, geek-chic feminine style, the house has gone in separate directions to eventually reach the coherent Gucci 100 collection. The pieces pay homage to the iconic designs which have come out of the house. Classic, brown leather loafers, bamboo bag handles, and chic trench-coats recall the timelessness of Gucci, whilst hoodies, sneakers, and slogan t-shirts remind us of the last decade of streetwear. 

Part of Gucci’s centennial celebrations are happening right here in London! Gucci Circolo, a pop-up concept space and store has opened in Shoreditch, which takes visitors through the recent Aria collection and Gucci 100 pieces. Similar pop-ups have also opened in Milan and Berlin. Collaborating with publisher IDEA, a curated bespoke bookstore containing rare fashion, art and photography books is also within the Gucci Circolo. Gucci’s links to music is referenced, with musicians such as Phoebe Bridgers and selecting music for the space. Also, a Gucci Cafe is also available on the top floor, making this venue an ideal creative space.

The centennial events continue this year with new events and collections planned for after the Gucci Circolo pop-ups to commemorate the historic designs of the Italian house.

Flannels specialises in designer clothing, footwear and accessories. The new store will showcase a selection of the most coveted designer brands across menswear, womenswear and kidswear.
