Autumn comes and, as the seasons change, so will your wardrobe. It’s getting colder, and layers are becoming your new best friend. Hats, scarves, coats- they’re all making a comeback and will be around for a good few months. You may be asking yourself how you can be your most stylish self, while also staying warm and comfortable in the new season. Well, that’s what we’re here for. Here are three iconic, yet simple, looks that will have you turning heads all Autumn long.

The first outfit is for those who prefer a monochromatic theme- black and white blocked colours, sleek. And is a perfect example of a look with layers, styled perfectly to prevent a bulky look. The black camisole over the cropped white t-shirt mimics a recent trend of layering t-shirts under spaghetti-strapped tops. Paired with the tracksuit bottoms and trainers, and the look becomes a fashionable yet casual outfit right for every occasion. The simple jewellery adds something to it- a hint of sparkle- without taking away from the main clothing.

The second look is chic, perfect for those who love to match the colours of their clothing. A single shade all the way through to make the outfit look effortlessly fashionable. Anyone laying eyes on you might think you have a natural talent for creating the perfect outfit. The long, flowing trousers give it an almost ethereal feel, and the shirt makes it as versatile as it possibly could be. Leave it hanging over a bralette of the same colour for an easy-going, almost sporty, style; or tie it/ button it up for an outfit that can be worn to a casual dinner on a night out. The addition of the modest gold earrings and bracelets add a splash of colour to the all-white look, creating the definition that makes it so versatile. Add a pair of sunglasses to protect yourself from the Autumn sun.

Last but not least, we have a strikingly red outfit that will put you in the spotlight absolutely. While the first two were much more understated, this one is for the bold, the vibrant. The whole outfit runs on the red and white colour scheme, and it pops against any backdrop. The combination of the tracksuit bottoms and puffer jacket makes it look seamless and casual, as do the white trainers. However, the bodysuit tucked into the trousers develops the flare of the style. Whether you opt for plain, velvet, or lacy, the bodysuit takes the look from basic to iconic instantly. Once again, understated jewellery and accessories to match the colour scheme, and the outfit makes you centre stage.

Get The Look: Guide to Achieving the Indoor Matching Set Trend

As we continue and go on with our death to the jeans or anything restrictive tour our next stop the top indoor trend Matching sets. From colour blocking to the monochromatic fashion of the outside now, we have the matching set trend of the indoors. As we go into an additional three weeks, it is time to recognise this as our new normal and get into this trend.

It’s about matching print and colour.

For a true matching set, the aim is for the outfit to look like it was initially cut from the same material and made into two garments. To get this level of matching you almost always have to purchase the clothing together, but you may get lucky and find a matching set in your closer

Matching with solid colours

Another way you can create your own matching set is by pairing print with a similar solid colour. If you own a printed top or bottom and you would like to get into the trend how about you match that printed top or bottom with a similar coloured bottom. The trick to getting the look you have to make sure the colour in the top has to be an exact match to the bottom and the solid colour garment has to be simple with no print.

Pyjamas or matching set.

Even before we were stuck inside the trend of silk or cotton looking pyjama sets was already out there. Take a look into your closet and find that silk pyjama with the matching robe and you will find that it is equally appropriate for the rest of your house as it is for the bedroom.

Vary the material.

The last way you can create a matching set is to wear different garments of different material and fabric but the exact same colour. Although this is more into the monochrome fashion trend, it also resembles a matching set, and it makes it easier for you to join in.

Create your own matching set

If you do not want to purchase something new and you want to create a matching set of your own here is a way to do it. For sweats other than just matching the colour you can create a print on both sections of the sweatsuit by using tie-dye, but you have to be careful the print looks similar or continuous. You can also create an ombre effect by blending a colour into white using bleach, which may be a bit harder.
