]]> Past, present and future are perfectly captured with a never banal balance at Gucci. Since Alessandro Michele took over the reins of the house, every collection has been a mix of avant-garde and archival elements studied in detail. The creative director has shown a unique ability to transform iconic pieces of the brand into contemporary masterpieces: the latest example is the favorite nineties bag of Lady Diana, iconic tote bag with its bamboo handles.

The bag, presented by the brand for the first time in 1991, was made famous by the Princess of Wales who was warned several times to wear it in its beige version, combined with different garments, from blazers to jeans and shirts.

The bag of Lady Diana was renamed by Gucci “Diana” to honor their most loyal fan. It is available in three sizes – small, medium and large – and seven colors (black, white, leather, emerald green, red, blue and pink).

The new version of the iconic Gucci bag with bamboo handles by Lady Diana also includes detachable leather straps in three fluo shades, to carry comfortably even with the shoulder strap, featuring a reworking of the straps which were historically used to keep the handles erect. The Gucci bag is also customizable with letters and symbols to be imprinted inside. There are many celebs that have already been conquered by the charm of this new version of the Gucci bag, protagonist of the looks of Lady Diana after the divorce with Carlo: Alexa Chung, Sienna Miller and Elle Fanning were immortalized while showing off the tote bag between commitments.

Yet another proof that the charm of Lady Diana, a quarter of a century after her death, is still impossible to resist.
