Anita delivered high-octane glamour with the confidence that only a true global star can pull off.
Her gown: fluid, liquid-metal satin with a plunging architectural neckline — captured the
movement of light with every step. The look was sensual without being loud, demonstrating a
mastery of red-carpet elegance rooted in precision and body-conscious tailoring. As she told Voir,
her look was courtesy of H&M.

Alex Consani
Alex Consani proved once again why she is the fashion world’s new obsession. Her look blended a
femme-fatale aesthetic with classic couture codes: a razor-sharp corseted bodice paired with
sculptural draped fabric. Alex was wearing nothing other than McQueen, which felt like the perfect
blend between an old master and the young Gen Z energy.

Ashley Graham
Ashley brought glamorous body architecture to the BFA carpet. Her bright personality matched
perfectly with her yellow gown by Feben. Her styling was clean, hair slicked and parted, letting the
gown’s silhouette do all the talking: her attitude as confident as always.

Paloma Elsesser
MiuMiu is nothing but the perfect choice for Elsser’s gown as it embodies the modern energy she
represents within the industry. Her polka-dot gown is a subtle nod of acknowledgment to internet
culture who has been obsessed with the trend since this past summer. It was sophisticated yet
ground-breaking, and undoubtedly bold.

Colman Domingo
The host of the night, Colman Domingo, delivered the strongest menswear moment of the entire
event. His tailored suit: double-breasted, sharply peaked lapels, and a rich jewel-tone palette,
introduced masculine elegance with a theatrical undertone. Colman understands fashion as
performance, and his presence set the tone for the night. He told Voir that “he wanted to feel sexy,
whatever that means for the night”, and Burberry definitely helped him achieve it. The Boucheron
pieces were certainly a touch of magic that elevated the look.

Anok Yai
A vision, a force, and the undisputed star of the blue carpet. Anok’s custom Dilara Findikoglu gown
was the definition of modern couture: ivory satin, corseted structure, and a mermaid silhouette that
felt both angelic and dangerous. The gown’s lingerie-inspired construction echoed the intimacy and
precision of Dilara’s world. It was the night’s most photographed look, and rightfully so.

Dilara Findikoglu
Designer Dilara Findikoglu arrived embodying her own aesthetic universe. Instead of playing safe,
she wore an ensemble that merged dark romanticism with historical reference. A beautiful reimagined corset embellished with cherry-like pieces that reminded everyone she was the
mastermind behind the label. A designer who dresses herself in her own language is rare, and
Findikoglu did so with conviction.

FKA twigs
FKA twigs was dressed by Welsh designer Paolo Carzana. Her outfit was authentic not only in style
but in historical significance. A true modern ode to Shakespearean, to celebrate British fashion.
Twigs never dresses for approval; she dresses to expand the idea of what red carpet dressing can be.
The look was ethereal, erotic, and intellectually disruptive.

Nina Dobrev
Nina brought high-gloss polish to the evening, choosing a sleek, minimalist white suit by Carolina
Herrera. Dobrev’s styling leaned toward European glamour: understated hair, bold neckline, and
immaculate tailoring.

Amelia Gray
Amelia Gray’s look represented the new wave of model-off-duty glamour. She wore a sheer, bodyskimming dress layered with a fur coat for a texture contrast. Her outfit served as a platform to
launch the new collaboration by Stella McCartney x H&M. Amelia has mastered the art of looking
both effortless and editorial, and this night was no exception.

Ellie Goulding
Ellie stepped out in a subtle yet striking laid-back look by Willy Chavarria. With baggy pants and a
fashionable crop top, she represented effortless elegance. Herr looked fresh, refined, and timeless,
the kind of dress that leaves a lasting impression.
This year’s Fashion Awards were defined not by one trend but by a dialogue between extremes:
structure vs. fluidity, minimalism vs. maximalism, softness vs. rebellion. The celebrities listed
above, every single one of them, contributed to making this year’s carpet one of the most visually
compelling in recent memory and a true homage to British fashion.

Rihanna was the star of the red carpet as all eyes were on her and A$ap Rocky wearing Christian Lacroix and Bottega Veneta. Her blue fur get up was a vintage Lacroix haute couture piece from FW 2002 and fell nothing short of Badgalriri’s signature style. Elevated with stacked silver necklaces and black leather gloves, she stole the show.

Co-host for the evening, Maya Jama dazzled us as she wore a stunning olive-green gown with cross over detailing at the top and embroidered flowers at the front. The silk flowing train also included intricate embroidery along with a fishnet trim encapsulating Connor Ives as a designer as we see his unexpected fabric combinations and striking colours first hand.

Jourdan Dunn served us a head-to-toe leopard print moment with Dior. The model chanelled her inner black-cat energy with the cat-eye lashes, and showed off her legs with the micro shorts, perfectly accompanying the blazer and long black gloves. The bakerboy cap finished off the look with a British essence for the British Fashion Awards.

Ashley Graham walked the carpet in a gorgeous black dress from David Koma’s first collection for Blumarine. The black dress included a sheer train to finish it off and a structured bodice showing off her figure. Graham, who had her VS debut earlier this year, finished the look off with a slicked back bun and all silver jewellery.

The stunning Halle Bailey wore a bespoke Ellie Misner dress and channelled her inner Disney princess on the red carpet. She arrived with a light and airy presence as she graced us in a couture piece draped in pearls and holographic cut outs mirroring when she starred as The Little Mermaid.

Alex Consani became the first transgender woman to win the Model of The Year award last night and as Voir puts it – made style accessible to women everywhere. She walked the carpet looking gorgeous in a Dilara Findikoglu moment and celebrated backstage in style after thanking the transgender models who came before her, paving the way for Consani to flourish.

Julia Fox joined Consani in supporting emerging designer Dilara Findikoglu, as she broke the internet in the custom dress. The white floor-length gown included sheer cut outs showing off Fox’s figure, and styled with a wet-look up do and icy makeup to tie everything together.

Chlöe Bailey (left) is pictured looking glamorous in an Atsuko Kudo black gown with a red accent in the bust area. The latex ensemble created a raw feminine energy, the pop of red giving depth to the outfit and her hair matching the vibe as it effortlessly shaped her face. The look was finished off with a silver diamond necklace as we were left with an undeniable serve on the carpet.

Simone Ashley, Bridgerton star stepped onto the carpet in a baby pink, strapless Prada gown. The coquette dress had different levels to it; from a short front to a long train at the back and was finished off with a matching pink bow on the bodice. Styled by Rebecca Corbin-Murray, Simone Ashley for sure had her girly moment on the runway in that dress, along with a slicked back hairstyle which was giving an iconic pixie cut at the front.

Ming Lee Simmons wore an undeniably daring look to the awards last night as she was pictured in a sheer chainmail dress. The floor length number was figure hugging and sleekly complemented by jet straight hair in a half up fashion and incredibly well contoured make-up. The look gave her a luxuriously fearless presence on the runway.

Munroe Bergdorf left Voir nothing short of speechless as she dominated the runway in a Patrick McDowell gown. The structured silhouette on the bodice broke off into a bubble skirt and was accompanied by a luxurious train graciously following her. The statement dress created a memorable bridal-like vibe which was sophisticated paired with dramatic flair.

For one night only the UK’s top designers, hottest models, and an extensive line-up of glamorous celebrity guests come together to honour the fashion elite, at the prestigious British Fashion Awards. The British Fashion Awards celebrates and promotes extraordinary creative talent in the UK fashion industry. Since its inception, the Awards have been a highlight of the industry calendar on par with the BAFTA and BRIT Awards.

After a live-setting edition due to the pandemic, The British Fashion Council (BFC) is delighted to announce that The Fashion Awards 2022 will take place on Monday 5th December 2022, returning to the iconic London venue The Royal Albert Hall. The event will celebrate fashion at the intersection of culture and is a global entertainment platform for brands, creatives, designers, artists, and tastemakers who come together to celebrate the industry.

Last year, The Fashion Awards opened with a tribute to Virgil Abloh by British actor Idris Elba, who recited Maya Angelou’s ‘When Great Trees Fall. A poignant opening is also expected for this year.

The charitable aspect of the event is also important to note. The Fashion Awards is the main fundraiser for the BFC Foundation, the charity that brings all the BFC’s initiatives under one umbrella, supporting the future growth and success of the British fashion industry by focusing on education, grant-giving, and business mentoring with official partners Getty Images and Moët & Chandon.

General Public tickets for The Fashion Awards 2022 will go on sale later this year via Ticketmaster.

The most stylish-stars were out in full force, taking on the red carpet and supporting their favourite designers and the ever evolving fashion scene. With last year’s Fashion Awards being held virtually, it was clear that the celebs were basking in the glory of being out in London to celebrate the best in fashion, serving some serious looks. This is our rundown of the night’s best looks. 

Billy Porter

We had to mention the night’s host, the marvellous Billie Porter. He wore a Richard Quinn dress, once again bending the constraints of gender, showing us how to make a statement in style. 

Gabrielle Union-Wade

Actress Gabrielle Union dazzled in this stunning Maison Valentino Couture gown, demanding all eyes on her as she dominated the red carpet in the brightest shade of green. 

Indya Moore

We know Indya can strike a pose, and that she did last night, as she brought the flames in this all red number. They added a touch of glamour by wearing Fernando Jorge jewellery.

Demi Moore 

Demi represents the most timeless beauty, and she looked breathtaking last night as she rocked a Fendi dress. 

Adriana Lima 

Supermodel Adriana Lima blew us away with this alluring Celia Kritharioti Couture creation embellished with Swarovski. 

Hailey Steinfield

Hailey brought us a touch of modern glamour as she wore a black and silver H&M jumpsuit, complete with a backless detail to offer a seductive glimpse. 

Priyanka Chopra Jonas

Priyanka brought the red carpet to life with this super loud and proud floral patterned set, courtesy of Richard Quinn. 

Dua Lipa

Leading the appearances from the brits was the gorgeous Dua Lipa. She dazzled in a Maximilian dress, bringing us a powerful and bold look as she wore all black. 

Griff 

As well as delivering an electrifying performance on the red carpet, Griff served an elegant and beautiful look as she wore a Simon Rocha dress.

Bimini Bon Boulash

Bimini has been dominating the UK Drag scene since their appearance on Drag Race earlier this year, and they looked sensational on the red carpet as they wore an H&M Innovation Circular Design dress. 

Mia Regan 

Mia Regan stunned the red carpet as she put in a sweet appearance with her boyfriend Romeo Beckham. She wore a Proenza Schouler dress as he wore a Saint Laurent suit. 

Rochelle Humes 

Rochelle Humes served us a modern look with a classical twist, as she wore an Annie’s Ibiza corset, a Galia Lahav skirt and bold black gloves from Dents. 

Charli XCX

Charli looked mesmerising in this Tommy Hilfiger dress complete with cutout detailing, bringing drama and beauty to the forefront of her look. 

Jourdan Dunn 

Jourdan brought a touch of heat with this figure hugging dress, emphasising her curves and beauty as she represented Charlotte Tilbury.

Leomie Anderson 

Leomie captivated in this elegant sheer gown, with embroidery to add a touch of detail and keep a modest illusion whilst looking sexy.
