With a week full of fashion shows from big names such as Versace and Chanel debuting their pre-fall collections, Alexander Wang pulled out all – and when we say all we mean ‘ALL’. From the 42 models getting their eyebrows bleached to a robot overshadowing all the stars attending the show, Wang pulled out all the stops.

While Kim K and Blake Lively ensured all eyes were on them as they attended the Versace Pre-Fall runway show on Sunday night, all attention at the Alexander Wang A/W19 show in New York went not to a human, but a robot.

Now, you’re probably picturing a plain old robot, but this is not just any old droid – this is an AI robot with a killer fashion sense.

Sophia, the humanoid robot developed by Hong Kong based company Hanson Robotics was sat in the FROW rocking Alexander Wang’s boxy blazer style paired with metal safety pins forming hearts on both of her sleeves. She was also seen donning a red Collection 2 bandana around her neck, a popular accessory worn by models throughout the show.

The humanoid robot was pictured hanging out with 21 Savage and Teyana Taylor.

If you are thinking that this is the first time she has made a fashion statement or appearance at a runway show, then think again. Previously making an appearance at Shanghai Fashion Week, she was spotted flaunting a Gucci bag in true fashionista style. The wait is over!

The collaboration that is Adidas Originals x Alexander Wang has just made its third drop of Season 2. The collection comprising 29 unisex pieces, arrived across 140 retailers on 4th November, continuing Wang’s sportswear prowess. Considering the winter months, fleece fabrics, mesh-lined joggers, and a reversible puffa make up some of the collection, as Wang delivers “the essentials for a long night out”. Footwear is also reinvented with two new additions, the AW Hike Lo, providing a clash of textures, with inspiration from classic designs, and an update to the AW Bball.

It wouldn’t be Wang without a party, and the campaign shot by Juergen Teller, captures the excitement of the collection perfectly with an endless edgy and contemporary montage of cycling and raving.
