Debuted at Milan Fashion Week for SS25, The Attico teamed up with Nike to give a sporty edge to their collection. Focusing more on athleisure rather than sports gear, the looks encompassed a laid-back, effortless vibe to complement their show. The label’s SS25 runway was graced with a signature pop of Nike apparel and trainers, juxtaposing a sporty aesthetic with sexy-chic edge.
Nike sports bras and bodysuits in faded colours were paired with sheer skirts and oversized jackets for a trendy “no pants” vibe while an alternative look saw sexy, underwear-style bottoms paired with baggy tracksuit trousers.

In perhaps the most on-the-nose collaboration, AVAVAV recruited Adidas to work alongside them in their recent Milan Fashion Week SS25 runway. Their catwalk, or should we say track lane, saw the seamless amalgamation of the practical and impractical to produce a complex collection of sportswear and athleisure that anyone can make their own.
Notable pieces included deconstructed tracksuits, figure-hugging slip dresses, and Adidas’ signature tri-stripe motif. According to AVAVAV designer, Karlsson, sportswear giant Adidas instructed “Do whatever you want, but don’t f*** with

the stripes.” And Karlsson certainly did not, letting the iconic tri-stripe design speak for itself in her pieces. Elsewhere, models were bundled in bloodstained bandages in a comment on the dark sides of both art forms: sport and fashion.

While AVAVAV and The Attico may not have set any PBs or won any medals at Milan Fashion Week, the brands have certainly made history in these ambitious collabs, balancing chic style and functional sportswear in a feat of fashion innovation.

Alessandro Michele has stated his inspiration for the campaign derived from the archived 1979 Adidas catalogue, which can be seen through the retro sportswear featured in the collection. Both brands’ voices are reflected strongly in the campaign which gives that extra burst of life and tells us (if we didn’t know before) Adidas x Gucci are a good fit.

The capsule collection very successfully merges the two worlds of fashion (high-end and streetwear) to symbolize there are no rules when it comes to fashion design and expression. Athletic silhouettes are mixed with traditional high-fashion Gucci staples such as silk scarves and leather heels to create an intoxicating potion we can’t get enough of. The famous three stripes are expressed on many of the capsule’s pieces, as well as both the logos of Adidas and Gucci. And of course, it wouldn’t be a Gucci collaboration without featuring vibrant and lively prints.

Iconic pieces from both brands have been replicated in the collab, for example, Adidas Gazelle trainers and Gucci Belts. This collection brings a fresh and well-welcomed take on the classic, loved pieces of the two fashion giants. Burberry’s Virtual Handbags

Many of us might not understand, but the metaverse will change fashion. We have seen Fashion Week and other fashion shows in the metaverse, a network of 3D virtual worlds. And even Coach and Gucci expanded their collections into the metaverse. Now Burberry is joining the metaverse forces by releasing a collection of virtual handbags in collaboration with Roblox. 

The limited edition of virtual handbags will only be available on Roblox, allowing users to dress their avatar in designer items. Inspired by the Burberry signature Lola bag, the collaboration is influenced by the brand’s “affinity for nature and the outdoors”. The bags usually cost about £1,500.00 and are available for 800 Robux (£8.99). 

Burberry will launch the limited edition bags every day from the 11th of June till the 15th, with every bag only being available for 24 hours. 

Adidas x Wood Wood 

The Adidas Originals “Forum Low” were released in the 80s. With their relaxed design, they were made for basketball but soon took over the music scene. Now, the retro shoe comes in a new design, making it perfect for the tennis court. 

Adidas and Copenhagen-based lifestyle brand Wood Wood have joined forces to reinterpret the 80s classic. Re-envisioned by WOOD WOOD’s co-founder Brian SS Jensen, they created a no-fuss tennis shoe. They swapped the Velcro fastening with laces to achieve that but kept the iconic “Forum Low” design. The shoes come in three colour stories, paying homage to the 80s colours: Mustard Yellow, Burnt Orange and the Wood Wood exclusive Electric blue. The new design also keeps the characteristic smooth white leather, the perforated toe box, the mesh tongue and, of course, the three stripes. 

The collection launched on June 13, with a global launch following on July 21.

When many imagine the rodeo, they may think of images of the “Old West” stereotype made popular in 1950s movies; but that’s due to change now that Beyonce has put her own brand on what cowboy/cowgirl life can really look like.

The songstress has taken up the saddle to bring a fresh look to the rodeo pen with her latest IVY PARK x Adidas collection — which she’s premiered in a video featuring her and other ultra-talented individuals modelling the looks from her latest line.

As the video branches its look and message far beyond any stale vision of cowboy life, it highlights the too often forgotten narrative of black cowboys and cowgirls (it is estimated by historians that 1 in 4 cowboys were black) and allows us to rethink what is activewear — and what it could look like.

There are still stretchy gym-ready looks in head-to-toe monochrome (playfully worn with matching cowboy hats on coordinating carousel horses), but there are also denim jackets and jeans embellished with signature Adidas stripes, alongside looks that take fringed trims off of kitschy cowboy gear, and put it on face masks. The looks as ask (and discover) where urban meets rodeo; and if it is possible to find new ways to light up the stables.

Beyonce collaborated with a layered variety of artists, activists, and sportspeople to convey style in the mini-film — from the breakout star musicians Snoh Aalegra and Monaleo, to skilled roper Emily Diana Alba and many more.

Two of the central figures in the video was celebrated black cowboy and actor, Glynn Turman (an Emmy-Award winner, known for his work on A Different World, and The Wire), and his cowgirl granddaughter, MelJulie Siegel.

“Around 12 years old, I became more interested in learning how to become a real cowgirl among the heavily male-dominated sport,” MelJulie says, adding that “Passing on the legacy of the American Black Cowboy is very important to me….I am blessed to represent a secret part of American history by being a modern-day Black cowgirl.”

Highly skilled roper Emily Diana Alba is also featured in the video.

“For me, learning to rope was like learning to ride a bike. You learned how to do it, used the skill to survive, and more importantly had fun with it.” But her interests go beyond the rope. “I love to ride horses and currently participate in an all-female riding team called the “Escarmuza Charra”, a drill team on horses that rides at full speed inside the arena, and is part of the larger Mexican rodeo event called “La Charrería,” she adds. “My love and passion for this sport is undeniable, as I am able to merge two cultures and represent them both with much pride.”

Joining these cowboys and cowgirls were celebrated musical artists. Monaleo, a 20-year-old rapper (and fellow Texan to Beyonce) is known for her recent songs “Beating Down Yo Block” and “Girls Outside” was also featured in the video, with IVY PARK noting her “versatility as a rapper, singer, and songwriter,” and her being “a role model and feminist hero”.

Joining her was the Texan musician powerhouse family of Tobe, Fat and Nell whom IVY PARK describes as an “enigma”, a “renaissance woman”, and as a “pioneer of music production”, respectively.

The short film also features the chart-topping and award-winning Iranian-Swedish singer/songwriter Snoh Aalegra, with the brand describing the “LOST YOU” singer as “one of the most exciting and critically acclaimed voices in music today”.  

And looking towards the modelling world, the film also features British/American/Swiss plus-size model and body acceptance activist Paloma Elsesser modelling several looks from the fully-inclusive collection.

All of the styles— and personas — showcased by IVY PARK x Adidas may be the latest looks of the iconic line — but their spirit and energy are as timeless as that of the American western look that it honours.

The IVY PARK Rodeo collection will become available on 19th August at noon CEST.

Done in shades of Fanta orange, the designs of the FLEX PARK capsule collection are mega-inclusive, with an amazing variety of sizes and non-gendered pieces on offer. To show off this inclusive collection, the launch campaign features Instagram influencers Tabria Majors (@tabriamajors), Kristen Noel Crawley (@kristennoelcrawley), and actor Quincy Brown (@quincy), wearing the line’s ultra-interchangeable activewear and newly-launched swimwear.

The brand says the capsule collection was inspired by “nostalgic muscle beach culture,” and in turn, the classic notion of “flexing”. The collaborators say that the collection seeks to “inspire anyone and everyone to fearlessly FLEX their best selves. Crafted with self-confidence in mind, the capsule’s ethos is defined by the pursuit of an unabashed representation of who you are.”

And it’s easy to see the empowering spirit of Ivy Park’s founder in each design— with the brand saying that the looks were designed in a way that “emphatically celebrates the empowered spirit of confident self-expression and individuality — positively and boldly.”

The collection offers a variety of interchangeable pieces — from swimwear and activewear to accessories such as unisex slides, towels, and tote bags. Florescent and sheer wide-leg trousers and dresses are right on trend for the moment, along with string tie once-piece swimsuits and bikinis.

This latest drop also marks high on the sustainability scale, with the brand saying that the line is made of fabrics that include “Polyester swim materials containing a minimum of 85% recycled content, performance stretch woven, chiffon, and performance mesh fabric.”

The FLEX PARK capsule collection is available in sizes from XS-4X, and can be found on adidas.com immediately, and in-store from 23rd July.

The ultimate summer sneakers, Adidas and Prada have come together to present two new colour variations of the A P LUNA ROSSA 21. Originally created for sailing, the grey version is the lifestyle version of the model, worn by the team Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli who won the PRADA Cup and became the official challenger of the 36th edition of America’s Cup presented by Prada. The second version, in absolute black, pays homage to the legendary stories of both brands with a subtle play of tonality.

“Performance is key and priority number one. As sailors, we’re really competitive, because we’re at the top level of our sport,” explains Max Sirena to HighSnobiety. “People underestimate the importance of footwear, but in reality, shoes are key, because you spend most of the time on your feet. When you’re sailing this type of boat and you’re going at 50 knots, to maneuver from one side to the other, you need good grip. The shoes need to be light, and they need to stay dry,” he continues. “We went through several sampling stages of the shoe. The most important part is the sole, for two reasons: for the grip, and because it needs to let water out. Our boats are like a washing machine.”

Sirena along with his team are extremely happy with the outcome. “This is probably one of the first times we perfectly reached what we were looking for in terms of performance gear. [A three-way collaboration] is not easy, because there is the fashion aspect, you need to sell the product, and for us, it’s a tool — to combine all those things is not an easy process, but I think we really nailed it this time,” Sirena muses.

Inspired by the iconic heritage of both brands and the aesthetic codes of the boat AC75 Luna Rossa, the silhouette of the A+P LUNA ROSSA 21 presents an upper of PRIMEGREEN, a series of recycled materials with a high performance, with an outer coating in E-Water-repellent TPU, an ergonomic EVA tongue, a specially designed quick lacing system and an inner cover in perforated synthetic suede.

The structure, resting on the perforated BOOST midsole and on an enveloping sole, enhances the typical performance of the sneakers offering the wearer greater freedom of movement. With careful attention to detail, each pair of A+P LUNA ROSSA 21 is proposed in a waterproof bag that perfectly contains the refined box with both brands.

The two colors of the summer sneakers for 2021 will be available worldwide from July 19 at the Prada boutiques, the adidas flagship stores, the websites prada.com and adidas.com. The black version will also be available from selected retailers.

The Oblanc brand, founded in 2017, has gained recognition with its modern approach addressing sustainability and gender fluidity. By repurposing materials (particularly denim) Oblanc opts for a visible reduction in waste. She sources second-hand denim and produces something entirely unique. With an experimental approach, her denim wear is bold and is a must for those who dare to be different.

Based in New York, there is a strong urban inspiration around every corner, which seems to largely inform her utilitarian aesthetic. Talking to Vogue Italia, Oblanc describes how her brand is a combination of “streetwear with high-end well-made clothing that will last’. Not only do they last, but they are often interchangeable, encouraging personal experimentation with styling. Unlike those onetime wonder outfits which are currently collecting dust in our wardrobes, an interchangeable Oblanc garment could be our daily go-to.

The designer tells Dazed how her “traditional workwear materials and silhouettes [are] recalibrated to create new age utilitarianism in fashion”. Creating garments that are bursting with details; plenty of pockets, trendy zippers, and statement straps, Oblanc merges functionality with style. Her garments show how the Oblanc style is suitable for an inclusive market and is something that we could all pull off.

Functionality and style go hand in hand with the face masks that Oblanc has recently been working on. Her Instagram page shares how you can seamlessly pair one of her masks with other Oblanc garments as an accessory. Paired with a halter neck denim jumpsuit that is slit and tied red boots, and a chain necklace, Oblanc’s blue checked mask matches perfectly with her streetwear aesthetic.

Oblanc is gaining recognition amongst the celebrity crowd. Following the 2018 Adidas Originals by Olivia Oblanc collection which collaborated with Kendall Jenner, the supermodel seems to be a fan of the designer’s work. On the brand’s Instagram page, Kendall can be spotted rocking a pair of Oblancs ‘Unisex Double Front Frayed Jeans’ which can also be found on the designer’s online website. With front zippers at both the front and back and frayed sides, these jeans will undoubtedly grab some attention. Despite her celebrity following, the designer hopes that her brand will be accessible to all telling Vogue Italia how “[she] wants to have customers from thirteen [to] eighty-year-olds. My goal is to have the broadest range of customers”. With a strong foundation encompassing sustainability and inclusivity, Oblanc is making a mark in the Fashion Industry that is both current and timeless. On Thursday the 25th of June Kanye West’s brand Yeezy inked a multi-year deal with Gap. The agreement that is claimed to last for 10 years came as a surprise to many. The deal consists of a co-branded line of apparel to be released in 2021.

Yeezy the brand is a fashion collaboration between Kanye West and Adidas formed in 2013. The brand produces shoes in collaboration with the Adidas brand. The brand also has a separate apparel business under the same name that garnered attention for their monotone coloured sweatshirts, biker shorts and sweatpants. As of 2019, the brand generated around 1.3 billion in revenues and is one of the most influential contemporary fashion brands out there.

GAP is an American worldwide clothing retailer founded in 1969 by Donald Fisher and Doris Fisher. However, what once stood as a symbol of mass-market American heritage is now a struggling empire victim of the Darwinism effect brought by the internet where e-commerce and social media the threat of extinction. This was seen in the year ending the 1st of February report where the brand displayed a 10% drop in sales. Although this was not something they couldn’t recover from, the nail on the cross came in the form of an unpredictable pandemic that affected the entire fashion sector. But for a brand that is primarily distributed through brick and mortar, this led to a closure of 3300 stores and furlough of 80,000 employees not to mention the 43% drop in first-quarter sales as of June.

Upon further scrutinization, this deal seems to serve both players. The deal is seen to be a saving grace for GAP a company in need of revenue and hype. For the Yeezy brand, it offers a chance of diversification of the Yeezy into a more affordable market, further increasing the customer base of the brand. The New York Times reports that Gap estimates the Yeezy Gap brand will generate $1 billion in annual sales in five years.

The Yeezy Gap apparel will be available in gap stores worldwide and on its website. The collection will consist of apparel for men women and children to be priced at current GAP affordable prices. West hired Nigerian-British designer Mowalola Ogunlesi as creative director.

The last way you can create a matching set is to wear different garments of different material and fabric but the exact same colour. Although this is more into the monochrome fashion trend, it also resembles a matching set, and it makes it easier for you to join in.

Create your own matching set

If you do not want to purchase something new and you want to create a matching set of your own here is a way to do it. For sweats other than just matching the colour you can create a print on both sections of the sweatsuit by using tie-dye, but you have to be careful the print looks similar or continuous. You can also create an ombre effect by blending a colour into white using bleach, which may be a bit harder.
